Ok so let’s start off by saying that this is the WWE Network Era, and with that being said; The future is both bright and bold! As the company grows we see new challenges ahead and so many opportunities.
Will WWE miss some, yup! Nobody is perfect and that includes the very definition of top dog in our industry. Will they hit it out of the park… have, will and will again.
I mean come on, Owens vs Cena is an instant classic. Neville has just started, and Rollins vs Ambrose have redefined half the match types in our business.
WWE Network era is just getting started, and this is my pitch to what Titles could aid the changes ahead and why!
Cruiserweight Championship
It seems as time went in the WWE, they lost focus on weight division. I respect that, but as time moves forward we see more cruiserweights dominating the scene.
With that being said the pure excitement brought by the WCW cruiserweight division was priceless.
International stars and many future WWE hall of famers have a shared history in this forgotten division.
My humble suggestion is to wait until nXt is ready for a workhorse title, then use the Cruiserweight Championship and division to further the excitement in the nXt chants that fill every nXt show.
Internet Championship
The original Internet Championship had Ryder’s face one it. That would have to go, but the idea of a belt defended at House Shows and the match only shown on WWE’s Youtube Channel and of course the Network would be cool.
Do right the belt would develop its own fanbase and the IWC would have fun trying to keep up with a title exclusively defended Online! Maybe with Ryder’s new mini push we could even see the resurrection or thia almost never used title.
Hardcore Championship
You want to know the one thing better than John Cena’s US Open Challenge?
The 24/7 Rule used by WWE with the hardcore championship.
Admittedly it was an eyesore, but with a smooth facelift, and the unparalleled service of the Network? The crazy matches, surprise challengers, and the ability to show the unexpected and unpredictable defense would be… well Gold!
WWE Universe Champion
This one is not a competitive or show belt. Rather a Title WWE can use once a quarter or once a month to honor a fan. Imagine if Connor Michalek was given a special belt to hold as he attended WWE events and appearances for a whole month.
It’d be part Champion part VIP and an honor fans would scramble to be a part of.
Womens Tag Team Championship
Give Divas a chance? How bout #GiveDivasATagDivision?
That is right Naomi and Tamina vs The Bella Twins. Paige and Becky Lynch vs Charlotte and Bayley. Let the divas fight for the singles, but what about letting Women form tag teams?
With the growth of WWE and it’s bolstering roster, I see this as not only an inevitable part of their evolution but a necessary one.
Then again I love tag teams anyways so maybe I am bias… or maybe I just want to see more Divas at a time.
