Tag Team Top 5 for the Week of July 13th, 2015

В TeamTremendous7-13

#1 Team Tremendous (Bill Carr & Dan Barry)- This was a clean sweep of the official voters. Despite only having one victory (that we're aware of) if you look at the titles they won and the talent they beat, you'll see why they were the easy #1 this week. They are the NEW CZW World Tag Team Champions after defeating OI4K, The Young Bucks, and The Beaver Boys on 7/11 to win the titles. They beat the who's who of tag teams on the indies right now, proving that their rise to being one of THE top teams in wrestling just continues week after week. Congrats to Team Tremendous on their HUGE title win and their first #1 ranking as a team!

В В

#2 Monster Express (Akira Tozawa & Shingo Takagi)- The pesky stable from Dragon Gate just continues to pop up in the Tag Team Top 5, proving that they are the most dominant faction in terms of tag team wrestling in all the world. This group has just been dominant in 2015 and this pairing is no exception to that rule. Despite no fan support in the online voting competition, they continue to get ranked as they teamed with Masato Yoshino to defeat Millenials (T-Hawk, Eita and Kotoka) at Dragon Gate on 7/7, then defeated Don Fujii & Gamma on 7/8, and then defeated Don Fujii & Gamma again on 7/9 to go 3-0 for the week. With 12 straight wins, they are SERIOUS contenders for the #1 spot in the year-end Tag Team Top 50 this year.

#3 CIMA & Ricochet- Dragon Gate AGAIN produces multiple tag teams in the Tag Team Top 5 as this pairing defeated Jimmyz (Jimmy Susumu & Ryo "Jimmy" Saito) at Dragon Gate on 7/7, then teamed with Matt Sydal on 7/8 to defeat Dia.HEARTS (BxB Hulk, Dragon Kid and Big R Shimizu) and then defeated Jimmyz (Genki Horiguchi HAGeeMee & Jimmy Susumu) on 7/9 to go 3-0 for the week. It's 7 straight victories for this pair as CIMA & Ricochet are making themselves known as a UNIT going forward, it seems.

В

#4 Viking War Party (@VikingWarParty Frank Wyatt & Jake Parnell)- Outside of the Dragon Gate factions, no faction has been as consistently good as The Viking War Party in 2015. Despite that, this particular pair had not found their way into the official Tag Team Top 5 until this week. This past week Frank & Jake teamed to defeat The Hooligans and The Tryout Show Rejects in an Iron Man 3 Way Tag at IWA Mid-South on 7/10 and then teamed with fellow Viking, Alex Rudolph to defeat The Submission Squad (Evan Gelistico, Pierre Abernathy, & Gary Jay) at FIP on 7/11 to go 2-0 for the week. They also have one hell of a shirt, DVD, etc…! Tweet them and pick something up!

#5 D&D Security (Cieran Donnelly & Danny Duggan)- This UK tag team picked up a HUGE victory over the weekend when they defeated The London Riots (James Davis & Rob Lynch) on 7/12 to win the IPW: UK Tag Team Titles. The prestige of those titles, along with beating a team of that caliber helped them to squeak into the Tag Team Top 5 this week. The UK has done a magnificent job of producing tag teams over the last couple of years and this duo is no different.

People's Champs. Tigerslayer 08 (Coleman Jackson & Krist Worthless)- UPW talent again shows up strong in the online voting competition as they defeated Jet Rebel & Jason Savior at UPW on 7/11 and then easily became People's Champs to represent their company proudly. Congrats to them and congrats to UPW on another win in the online vote!

Indy Power Rankings for the Week of July 13th, 2015

В TimothyThatcher7-13

#1 Timothy Thatcher (@britishmessiah)- Timothy Thatcher reigns supreme with his first #1 ranking! On 7/10, he did what very few have done this year as he defeated Drew Galloway. Not only that, he beat Galloway to win the EVOLVE/DGUSA Open the Freedom Gate Titles. The next day he continued his success by defeating Chris Hero to retain the EVOLVE Title on 7/11. With 5 wins in his last 6 matches, Thatcher is on a hot streak right now which he looks to continue throughout 2015. Will he be able to continue his rise up the IPR 100? We'll see in December! With weeks like this, a climb will be insanely difficult as this was one of the toughest weeks to pick yet!!!

В

#2 Rickey Shane Page (@RickeyShanePage)- "RSP" secures yet another ranking this year as he defeated Josh Alexander at AIW to win the Absolute Title on 7/10. He followed that up with a victory over Tyler Thomas at A1 on 7/12 to retain the A1 Zero Gravity Title. A 2-0 weekend with a couple of HUGE wins continues Rickey Shane Page's impressive 2015. Very few have experienced as much career growth in 2015 as Page as he continues to collect wins AND titles.

В

#3 Tim Donst (@TDonst)- Donst has had such an amazing 2015 as he looked some of the worst news in the eye and came out strong on the other side. That being said, he didn't just rest on the fact that he had his health, he came back to wrestling and won a title in one of the biggest independent wrestling companies in the United States. He is the NEW CZW Wired Champion after defeating Joe Gacy for the title on 7/11. The previous day he defeated Nick Gage in an Anything Goes Match at AIW to secure a perfect weekend and yet another ranking.

#4 Leva Bates (@wrestlingleva)- Whether you call her "Blue Pants" or Leva Bates, she's had a phenomenal 2015. She continued that success when she defeated D'arcy Dixon at GirlFight on 7/7. She followed that up when she beat Athena in the Semi-Finals of the WSU Spirit Title Tournament and then beat Hania the Howling Huntress in the Finals the same night on 7/11 to win the title. With a 3-0 record on the week, she picks up her first ranking this week amidst a TON of competition throughout the top 10 and beyond.

#5 Ricochet (@KingRicochet)- Last year's #1 in the IPR 100 finally pops up in the Top 10 after months away from the rankings. He returned to Dragon Gate where he teamed with CIMA at Dragon Gate on 7/7 to defeat Jimmyz ( Jimmy Susumu and Ryo "Jimmy" Saito) then teamed with CIMA and Matt Sydal on 7/8 to defeat Dia.Hearts (BxB Hulk, Dragon Kid and Big R Shimizu) then teamed with Masato Yoshino on 7/10 to defeat YAMATO and Mondai Ryu, then teamed with Masato Yoshino, Matt Sydal and Akira Tozawa to defeat Naruki Doi, YAMATO, K-ness and Punch Tominaga, and then teamed with Masato Yoshino and Shingo Takagi to defeat MAD BLANKEY (Naruki Doi, YAMATO and K-ness) to go 5-0 for the week. The only thing that held him back was success in singles this week, so let's see what the upcoming weeks in Japan bring for "The Future of Flight."

#6 Zack Sabre Jr (@zacksabrejr)- We've said it before, but perhaps the best technical wrestler in the world picks up yet another ranking this week as he defeated Roderick Strong at EVOLVE on 7/10 and then beat TJ Perkins at EVOLVE on 7/11 to go 2-0 on the week. This UK talent is truly one of the cream of the crop right now as he continues to mow through the competition this year. Again, we reiterate though, he needs to pick up a title or two to truly get the recognition in the Top 10. What title looks most tempting to Sabre? We shall see.

#7 Shingo Takagi- After being ranked #6 last week, he falls just one spot due to heavy competition this week, but also keep in mind that he DID go 5-0 this week at Dragon Gate. He teamed with Masato Yoshino & Akira Tozawa at Dragon Gate on 7/7 to defeat T-Hawk, Eita and Kotoka, then teamed with Akira Tozawa on 7/8 to defeat Don Fujii and Gamma, then teamed with Akira Tozawa on 7/10 to defeat Don Fujii and Gamma, then defeated Yosuke (loves) Santa Maria on 7/11, and then teamed with Masato Yoshino and Ricochet on 7/12 to defeat MAD BLANKEY (Naruki Doi, YAMATO and K-ness) to go 5-0 for the week. Much like Ricochet, the only thing he lacked this week was singles success.

#8 Masato Yoshino- Dragon Gate continues to dominate the Top 10 with 3 talents in the Top 10 this week and countless others on the poll for the Tag Team Top 5. Yoshino teamed with Akira Tozawa and Shingo Takagi on 7/7 to defeat Millenials (Eita, Kotoka & T-Hawk) then teamed with Syachihoko BOY on 7/8 to defeat MAD BLANKEY (Punch Tominaga & YAMATO) then teamed with Ricochet on 7/9 to defeat MAD BLANKEY (Mondai Ryu & YAMATO) then teamed with Akira Tozawa, Ricochet and Matt Sydal on 7/11 to defeat Naruki Doi, YAMATO, K-ness and Punch Tominaga, and then teamed with Shingo Takagi & Ricochet on 7/12 to defeat MAD BLANKEY (Naruki Doi, YAMATO and K-ness) to go 5-0 for the week. He is the third talent that could have been much higher, but he's going to need to string together some SINGLES victories to do so.

#9 Hy Zaya- The IWA Mid-South World Champion returns to the Top 10 this week as he teamed with Shane Mercer, Jake the Snake Roberts, & JC Rotten to defeat Horror Show with Joseph Schwartz on 7/9, then defeated American Viking on 7/10 to retain the title, and then teamed with Shane Mercer on 7/11 to beat The Tryout Show Rejects to go 3-0 on the week. Despite a lot of success recently, Hy Zaya likely hasn't been getting the credit he deserves. He currently holds both the IWA Mid-South World Title AND the CCW Heavyweight Title. With a big title defense vs. Shane Mercer at IWA and vs. Lee Byford at CCW coming up, Hy Zaya has a chance to really continue to solidify himself as one of top talents on the indies this coming weekend.

В

#10 Santana Garrett (@SantanaGarrett_)- As per the norm, the multiple champion stays relevant this week with yet another ranking in the Top 10 after she defeated Samantha Slides at RPW. With 22 straight wins, the #1 in the IPR 100 at the Mid-Year Update continues to defend her titles and her top spot. With names like Akira Tozawa chomping at her heels, she'll have to keep racking up the victories to keep them at bay.

People's Champ. The Choff (@jkchoff)- The current QWA Champion in Australia continues to do well in the online voting competition as he is once again the People's Champ this week outlasting a SLEW of other talent this week. Congratulations to him and to Australia, who as a continent continue to prove their worth in independent wrestling.

Tag Team Top 5 for the Week of June 8th, 2015

#1 Mad Blankey (YAMATO & Naruki Doi)- A 3-0 weekend gets 2 members of the Mad Blankey faction their first #1 ranking this week. It was a VERY strong week for this duo as they defeated Millenials (Kotoka & T-Hawk) at Dragon Gate on 6/2, then defeated Millenials (Eita & T-Hawk) on 6/3, and then defeated Jimmyz (Jimmy Kanda & Mr. Kyu Kyu Naoki Tanizaki Toyonaka Dolphin) on 6/7 to go 3-0 for the week. Dragon Gate owned the official tag team voting this week as almost all the official voters had Mad Blankey at #1 or #2 and Monster Express at #1 or #2. Dragon Gate continues to be the torch bearer for tag team wrestling on the indies in 2015.

В В

#2 Monster Express (Akira Tozawa & Masato Yoshino)- Nothing new in the Tag Team Top 5 as a familiar faction pops up again proving that Monster Express are the masters of tag team wrestling this year. While they're working towards the #1 spot in the Tag Team Top 50, it's the fact that multiple pairings have garnered high rankings that is ultra-impressive. This pairing teamed with Shingo Takagi to defeat Jimmyz (Jimmy Kanda, Jimmy Susumu & Ryo Jimmy Saito) at Dragon Gate on 6/2, then teamed with Shingo Takagi to defeat Dia.HEARTS (Big R Shimizu, BxB Hulk & Kzy) on 6/3, and then defeated CIMA & Yosuke loves Santa Maria on 6/7 to go 3-0 for the week. This team has won NINETEEN straight matches together.

#3 Zero Gravity (Brett Gakiya & CJ Esparza)- The DREAMWAVE Tag Team Champions continued their impressive reign as they defeated one of the top tag teams in all of professional wrestling when they turned away the challenge of OI4K (Dave & Jake Crist) in a 2 out of 3 Falls Match on 6/6 to retain the titles. The official voters saw this as a HUGE win as they beat one of the best teams in the world in that type of a contest. Zero Gravity has been making big strides to make 2015 the year when they really start getting noticed. Expect this to continue with them holding the DREAMWAVE Tag Titles. В

В

#4 El Sky Team (Mistico, Valiente & Volador Jr.)- We get our only three-man tag team in the Tag Team Top 5 this week and they come to us from Mexico as the CMLL World Trios Champions defeated Los Revolucionarios del Terror (Dragon Rojo Jr., Polvora & Rey Escorpion) by DQ on 6/1 and then defeated Los Guerreros Laguneros (Gran Guerrero, Niebla Roja & Ultimo Guerrero) on 6/2 to go 2-0 for the week. The international flare of the Tag Team Top 5 was very apparent this week as 3 out of the 5 teams in the Tag Team Top 5 come to us from outside the United States.

#5 The Goon Squad (Deadly Dale & Idol Bane)- This tag team would have had to be considered the underdogs heading into Outlaw Wrestling's debut show on June 7 th vs. The Hooligans. Their surprising victory and becoming the 1 st ever tag team champions for Outlaw Wrestling weighed heavily on the voters' minds this week, but it was the team they beat in The Hooligans that truly got them notice. With The Hooligans being statistically THE best tag team in wrestling the last couple of years, this win was huge. Congrats to The Goon Squad on their very first ranking. More to come? Check out our Outlaw Wrestling Hype Central from last week here: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/fillingthevoidrn/2015/06/02/indy-power-rankings-reveal-outlaw-wrestling-hype-central

People's Champs. Shoot 2 Thrill (@Shoot2Thrill Randall Shane @IamRandallShane & Issacc Acid @IssacAcid)- Are they the future WWA Tag Team Champions? It's possible, but for now, let's focus on the fact that they defeated Church of Misfits on 6/7 and that win earned them a spot on the poll. They took advantage of their placement on the poll, winning their first online voting competition. Indy Power Rankings for the Week of June 8th, 2015

#1 Santana Garrett (@BrittanyTNA)- It has been one hell of a year for Santana Garrett and that continued this week as she grabbed her second #1 ranking. She has been relevant almost every single week since winning the NWA Women's Title. Over the weekend she defeated Jayme Jameson at Wet Wrestling Cowgirl Rumble on 6/1 and then beat Josh Hess at FIP on 6/5 to go 2-0 on the week. With 15 straight wins and something like 35 wins in her last 36 matches, she is damn near unstoppable. Who's next to step up to the challenge of the SHINE, NWA Women's, Battling Bombshells, and JCW Women's Champion?

В

#2 John Wayne Murdoch (@johnmurdoch25)- It really looked like JWM was going to grab the #1 spot after his performance Saturday night at CCW's First Annual King of the Coliseum. Unfortunately for him, his loss to Reed Bentley the next day at IWA Mid-South in an "Opportunity in a Box Match" may have ruined his chances of getting his second #1 ranking. That being said, he did win the tournament by defeating Reed Bentley, then Matt Tremont, and finally, JC Rotten to also retain his CCW Hardcore Title on 3 occasions. This week was absolutely bananas and Murdoch's weekend was evidence of that fact.

В

#3 AR Fox- "The Whole Foxin' Show" had as good of an argument as anyone on this strange week to grab his first #1 ranking this year, but it wasn't to be. After a great 2013 and a so-so 2014, Fox is back in the driver's seat in 2014 after winning the Legacy Heavyweight title when he defeated JT Dunn on 6/6. He added to that victory as he defeated JT Dunn, Eddie Smooth, Shane Strickland, & PJ Black the same night to become the inaugural champion. A 2-0 weekend and his undefeated record in his last 5 matches gets him the #3 spot this week. If he can keep this momentum going, he'll be #1 again in no time.

В

#4 Rich Swann (@GottaGetSwann)- The FIP World Heavyweight Champion returns to the Top 10 this week as he defeated Mason Ryan on 6/5 to retain the title. He also defeated Sebastian Suave at SMASH Wrestling on 6/6, but was unable to complete a perfect weekend as he reportedly took a loss in the ALS Gauntlet, dubbed "The Infinity Gauntlet" where Chris Hero wrestled for over 3 hours. That being said, Swann has been as good as anyone in 2015 as he looks to continue his winning ways as he tours the North American continent and elsewhere.

В

#5 Rampage Brown (@RampageBrown)- The NGW Heavyweight Champion and 1/2 of PCW Tag Team Champions teamed with T-Bone at PCW on 6/5 to defeat The UK Hooligans (Roy Knight & Zak Knight) to retain the titles and then defeated Bram at Brit Wrestling Fest on 6/7 to retain the NGW title to go 2-0 for the week. One of the UK's top talents returned to the Top 10 this week after a relatively successful 2015, following a very successful 2014. He's one of the best the UK has to offer and we expect to see much more of him going forward.

#6 Brandon White- Great weekend for Brandon White as he makes his first appearance in the Indy Power Rankings Top 10. He defeated Tommy Redneck at NBPW on 6/6, then teamed with Ethan Steele the same night to defeat Sean Spade & Tommy Redneck and then teamed with L.A. Rocker and Criss Gage on 6/7 to defeat Pretty Boy James and the Chicago Overcoats to go 3-0 for the week. He was one of the very few who were able to pick up more than 2 victories over the weekend. Can he continue this type of success?

В

#7 Bull Bronson (@BullBronson)- After Outlaw Wrestling's first show on 6/7, the dominant monster, standing in a 6 4'' tall and weighing in at almost 400 pounds, held the Outlaw Title high after defeating Zakk Sawyers to become the first champion. He also teamed with The Hooligans to hand The Viking War Party their only loss of the weekend on 6/6 at SNPW. This was particularly impressive as The Vikings don't frequently lose in 6-man tag team action as a unit. With the title over his shoulder, expect Bull Bronson to continue to mow through the competition. You can go back and listen to the big Outlaw Wrestling Hype Central with Devin Cutter, American Viking, and Frank Wyatt here: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/fillingthevoidrn/2015/06/02/indy-power-rankings-reveal-outlaw-wrestling-hype-central

В

#8 Cauliflower Chase Brown (@CatchChaseBrown)- The indie rock frontman and self-proclaimed philosopher grabbed his first ranking this week and it's been long overdue. "Cauliflower" grabs the #8 spot this week after he defeated one of the best wrestlers on the indies in Cedric Alexander on 6/6 to retain the TSW Title. He's been picking up win after win in the Carolinas recently and with him scoring his first Top 10 ranking, he's got even more on the line going forward.

В

#9 Jewells Malone (@JewellsMalone)- One of Canada's top female athletes proved that the "Hardcore Princess" can compete with any of the top females in North America after a very good weekend at SMASH Wrestling. She defeated Kaitlin Diemond at Smash on 6/6 and then teamed with Courtney Rush, Portia Perez, Vanessa Kraven & Xandra Bale the same night to defeat Candice LeRae, Cherry Bomb, Jennifer Blake, Kaitlin Diemond & Veda Scott the same night. One of the hardest hitting women in independent wrestling has been on the outside of the Top 10 looking to get in for far too long and she broke through this week.

В

#10 Donny Idol- The NEW EMERGE Champion scored perhaps the biggest victory of his career when he defeated the monstrous JD Mariani for the title in an insane TLC Match on 6/6. With the title now in hand, he's looking to continue his success at EMERGE as he AND the company have picked up quite a bit of momentum as of late. He also secured 53 votes to come in third in the online voting competition. You can go back and listen to his thoughts heading into his match with JD Mariani from last week here: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/elitepodcastnetwork/2015/06/03/indy-power-rankings-tag-team-top-5-reveal-emergewrestling-hype-central

People's Champ. Hellcat- Well, after crushing the competition in the tag team voting competition last week, he added the singles voting competition this week as the KDW Champion (and ½ of the UPW Tag Team Champions) defeated Gabreal Saint on 6/6 to retain the title to get on the poll. He then racked up 249 votes to easily win the competition this week.

Hellcat6-8

Honorable Mention. Portia Perez (@pperezninja)- She defeated Veda Scott and Angie Sky at Smash on 6/6; then teamed with Courtney Rush, Jewells Malone, Vanessa Kraven & Xandra Bale to defeat Candice LeRae, Cherry Bomb, Jennifer Blake, Kaitlin Diemond & Veda Scott the same night to go 2-0 for the week; has won 3 straight matches.

Indy Power Rankings for the Week of June 1st, 2015

#1 Drew Galloway (@GallowaySpeaks)- Drew Galloway has arguably been the most dominant wrestler, regardless of location, in 2015. This past weekend at EVOLVE proved to be no different as he defeated Biff Busick on 5/30 to retain the Open the Freedom Gate Title, then beat Roderick Strong to retain the EVOLVE Title on 5/31. Galloway has been absolutely unstoppable this year, proving that he is one guy that even the WWE couldn't hold down as he proved that his release could be a great thing. Is he the king of the indies right now? Tune into the IPR 100 Mid-Year Update on June 30 th to find out where he ranks so far this year. This is his FIFTH #1 ranking this year, which is more than anyone so far in 2015.

В

#2 Aaron Epic (@RealAaronEpic)- If you go back and listen to the Indy Power Rankings Reveal from last week, we talked about the importance of the Florida J-Cup for I Believe in Wrestling. The host of the show picked Aaron Epic to win the tournament and those words proved to be prophetic as Epic defeated Josh Hess by DQ in the First Round, then beat Jesus Rodriguez in the Second Round, and then beat Lince Dorado in the Finals to win the tournament for 2015. You can go back and listen to that big hype central for the Florida J-Cup 2015 here: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/fillingthevoidrn/2015/05/26/indy-power-rankings-weekly-reveal

В

#3 JT Dunn (@TheJuiceee)- "The Juice" has slipped under the radar this year after being heavily ranked time and time again last year. He returns to the Indy Power Rankings Top 10 after a long hiatus after a very good weekend in the Northeast. On 5/29 he defeated Ken Broadway at HOG, then he beat Andrew Everett at XWA on 5/30, and then wrapped up the weekend when he teamed with Chris Hero to defeat Team Tremendous at Beyond Wrestling on 5/31 to go 3-0 on the week. Can he keep this momentum going? He'll need to pick up some more wins and continue the win streak if he hopes to secure a high spot in the upcoming IPR 100 Mid-Year update.

В

#4 Davey Richards (@RichardsWesley)- This wolf has been devouring his competition on the indies as of late. EVOLVE weekend was just another opportunity for him to shine as he may have earned himself a future EVOLVE title shot after another great weekend. First, he defeated Caleb Konley on 5/30 and then he followed that up with another win vs. Drew Gulak on 5/31 to go 2-0 for the week. Drew Galloway vs. Davey Richards? Who wouldn't want to see that? TNA work aside, both men have been doing great work on the indies this year.

В

#5 "Bad Bones" John Klinger (@TheGermanPsycho)- One of Europe's finest returns to the Top 10 this week. The IPW:UK World Champion defeated Demolition Davies, Michael Dante, and Scotty Saxon at wXw in Germany on 5/29, then beat Tommaso Ciampa at SWE in Switzerland on 5/30 to go 2-0 for the week. With 10 wins in his last 11 matches, Bad Bones has been tearing it up in Europe. A couple of years ago he was announced for IWA Mid-South's TPI before it was cancelled…perhaps the time has come again for John Klinger to come to the U.S. to show what he can do?

#6 Will Ospreay (@WillOspreay)- It was a great 4-1 week for the RPW British Champion. At Progress Wrestling on 5/25 he defeated Mark Haskins in the quarterfinals, then defeated Roderick Strong in the semifinals, and then defeated Zack Sabre Jr in the final to win the tournament. His big loss on the week was when he lost the Speed King Title Match to El Ligero on 5/30 after winning a qualifying match earlier in the day. Great week for Ospreay who has been having an impressive 2015 so far.

В

#7 Samoa Joe (@SamoaJoe)- Three up and three down for Samoa Joe as he makes another stop to the indies to continue his success around the loop. On 5/29 he defeated Chris Dickinson at HOG, then did it again at XWA on 5/30, and then completed the trifecta when he defeated Dickinson again at Beyond Wrestling on 5/31 to go 3-0 on the weekend. Certainly if he would have had some diversity in his opponents he would have been ranked higher this week, but three straight wins against competition like Chris Dickinson is still quite impressive. Expect this type of success to continue if he continues to pick up bookings on the indies.

В

#8 Chris Hero (@TheChrisHero)- Chris is awesome? No doubt about it as he returns to the Top 10 this week after defeating Trevor Lee in a flat out war at EVOLVE on 5/30 and then teamed with JT Dunn to beat Team Tremendous at Beyond Wrestling on 5/31 to go 2-0 on the week. While Hero may not have a ton of titles to his credit right now, he's still being booked and winning all over the world. This veteran has been putting on high quality performances for years and this past weekend was no different.

В

#9 Hy Zaya- Had it not been for the loss at Infinity Pro in a 6 Man Tag Team Match over the weekend, Hy Zaya likely would have been contending for the #1 spot this week. That being said, there was perhaps no bigger and surprising victory over the weekend than Hy Zaya's victory over the monstrous Kongo Kong to become the NEW IWA Mid-South Champion on 5/31. This victory came after a big 6 man scramble victory earlier in the night to earn the title shot. Call him "The Hood Ninja" or just "The Ninja" but in 2015, with him holding both the CCW and IWA Mid-South titles, you damn sure better respect him.

В

#10 Brad Kevins (@Hawaiian_Hero)- The Anarchy Pro Cruiserweight Champion defeated Colin Cambridge & Brendan Conway at Blitz on 5/28, then beat Owen Travers on 5/30 to retain the Anarchy Pro Cruiserweight Title, then beat Lunatic at CSW the same day to go 3-0 on the week. This is his first ranking as he has been picking up matches everywhere he possibly can. With him being new to the Top 10, if he can keep this type of success going, the sky's the limit for this young athlete.

People's Champ. Bryan Skyline (@BryanSkyline)- For a second straight week, the UPW Champion wins the online voting competition after he defeated Nathan Gust on 5/30 to retain the title. With 176 votes, the voting competition once again belonged to him after rallying from behind. While he didn't crack the Top 10 this week, his 3 straight victories most definitely keep him in the hunt.

Indy Power Rankings for the Week of May 25th, 2015

#1 Raymond Rowe (@RaymondxRowe)- It was a VERY close vote this week as the JLIT Tournament Winner for 2015 ran into some stiff competition from Santana Garrett. That being said, Raymond Rowe came out on top, coming no lower than #2 on any of the official voters' ballots. This is his not his first #1 ranking as he had one in very early 2014 but it's his first in quite some time. Over the weekend he defeated Rickey Shane Page at AIW on 5/22, then defeated Nick Gage on 5/23, then defeated Tracy Williams the same night, and then defeated Josh Prohibition and Louis Lyndon to win the tournament to go 4-0 for the week. With his frequent ROH work still ongoing, we still hope to see more of him in 2015 on the indies!

В

#2 Santana Garrett (@BrittanyTNA)- Inarguably the most dominant female in independent wrestling in 2015…she grabs yet another high ranking this week. With her holding titles such as the SHINE, NWA Women's, JCW Women's, and the Battling Bombshell's Women's Title she went into the weekend and added even more prestige to her already phenomenal year. She defeated Nikki Adams at Masters of Ring Entertainment on 5/23 in the first round, then defeated Ronnie Nicole in the semifinals and Kacee Carlisle in the final to win the tournament to go 3-0 for the week. We say no other female has been more dominant but at this point, very few males have been as dominant. Look for her to continue to crush her competition going forward.

В

#3 Roderick Strong (@RoderickStrong)- If we were balloting for "Wrestler of the Year" right now, Roderick Strong would have to be at or near the top of the list. The PWG World Champion defeated Chris Hero and Brian Cage on 5/22 to retain the title and then travelled to PROGRESS in Europe and defeated Tommy End to go 2-0 for the week. With wins in 9 of his last 11 matches outside of ROH, Roderick Strong has experienced a career revival this year. Very few wrestlers in the U.S. have been as hungry and motivated as Strong this year and if you're in his path, look the hell out.

В

#4 Davey Vega (@DaveyVega85)- The AIW Intense Champion had another stellar weekend as he defeated Heidi Lovelace at AIW on 5/22, then beat BJ Whitmer on 5/23 to go 2-0 for the week. With some great competition in front of him this week, he was unable to crack the Top 3, but this was highest ranking this year. After getting his first #1 ranking in 2014 in a bit of a surprise, he'd slow down a little bit in terms of getting ranked. That all changed this week as he garnered a ton of support after a flawless weekend.

В

#5 People's Champ. Bryan Skyline (@BryanSkyline)- Without the fan vote, he would have been ranked, but he solidified his spot this week by dominating the online voting competition, securing more than double the votes of the 2 nd place finisher. He had a very good weekend as the UPW American Champion defeated Shannon Moore on 5/22 to retain the title and then defeated Rhino and Joseph Schwartz on 5/23 to retain the title to go 2-0 for the week. Skyline has been showing a lot of potential this year and finally proved how good he can be with a very good ranking AND a win in the online voting competition with 110 votes.

BryanSkyline5-25

#6 Shynron (@Dragon_Shynron)- One of the best high-flyers in the world makes his return to the Top 10 this week after he defeated Lukas Sharp at NEW on 5/23 and then teamed with Argus, Eddie Kingston & Ophidian at Chikara on 5/24 to beat The Wrecking Crew (The Devastation Corporation (Blaster McMassive, Flex Rumblecrunch & Max Smashmaster) & Jaka to go 2-0 for the week. Despite no fan turn out in the online voting competition this week, he has had one hell of a 2-year run as one of the very best in the world in terms of putting on an absolute show. This is his 2 nd highest ranking in 2015.

В

#7 Samoa Joe (@SamoaJoe)- Despite his appearances on NXT, Samoa Joe is STILL tearing it up on the indies vs. some of the best talent available anywhere. Over the weekend he defeated someone who is a perennial Top 10 contender in Johnny Gargano on 5/23 at AIW. It was that STRONG win that impressed people enough to get him into the Indy Power Rankings this week with just one win. We hope to see more of him in 2015, but as most know, his time may be limited very soon.

В

#8 Princess Kimber Lee (@Kimber_Lee90)- Whatever her moniker she's competing, 1/2 of Shimmer, Shine and WSU Tag Team Champions always shows up to compete. Over the weekend she defeated Juan Francisco at Chikara on 5/23; and then teamed with Jervis Cottonbelly on 5/24 to beat The Gentleman’s Club (Chuck Taylor & Orange Cassidy) to go 2-0 for the week. She's having a FANTASTIC 2015 and this week was just further proof of that undeniable fact.

В

#9 Muhammed Yone- Surprisingly this is the first Top 10 ranking for this NOAH-based talent. On 5/21 he won a Battle Royal at NOAH and then followed that up when he teamed with Katsuhiko Nakajima at NOAH on 5/23 to beat Super Crazy and Captain NOAH to go 2-0 for the week. With victories in 6 of his last 8 matches, Yone has been doing good things in NOAH lately. Can he build on this ranking? We shall see.

В

#10 Masato Yoshino- 1/2 of the Dragon Gate Open the Twin Gate Champions returns to the Top 10 this week as he teamed with Akira Tozawa and Shingo Takagi at Dragon Gate on 5/23 to defeat YAMATO, Cyber Kong and Punch Tominaga and then defeated Masaaki Mochizuki on 5/24 to go 2-0 for the week. With wins in 14 straight matches, very few have been as impressive lately as one of the speediest athletes on the face of the Earth. Yoshino just continues to do his thing at Dragon Gate, racking up wins along the way.

Tag Team Top 5 for the Week of May 18th, 2015

#1 Atsushi Onita, Hideki Hosaka, & Masato Tanaka- This one is a bit of a surprise. It's not just a surprise because it's a team that hasn't teamed frequently in 2015, but because it's a 3-man team. While there have been 3-man teams to grab the #1 spot before (Viking War Party and Devastation Corporation being the most obvious) it's not the most common thing in the Tag Team Top 5. The weekend at FMW for this team was a little bit nostalgic as they defeated NOSAWA Rongai, Buffalo and Monster Leather at FMW in Japan on 5/13, then defeated Monster Freddie, Monster Leather & NOSAWA Rongai on 5/14, and then teamed with Ricky Fuji on 5/15 to beat Monster Freddie, Monster Leather, NOSAWA Rongai & The Winger to go 3-0 for the week. Can they do it again? It's unlikely, but also entirely possible.

В

В

#2 The Hooligans (Devin & Mason Cutter @BeardedBullys)- These bearded bullies found their way to the Tag Team Top 5 yet again. Much like last weekend, it wasn't their greatest weekend as a team, their recent string of victories along with their prestige as a team earned them their 2 nd straight #2 ranking. The SLA Tag Team Champions defeated Just D'Air and Mike Outlaw at SNPW on 5/16 and then followed that up with a victory over The Viking War Party (Jake Parnell & Frank Wyatt) at IWA Mid-South on 5/17 to go 2-0 on the week. With 4 straight wins, these Hooligans are looking more and more unstoppable as the year rolls on.

#3 The Ballard Brothers (Shane & Shannon Ballard)-It's been a while since you've seen this tag team mentioned in the Tag Team Top 5, but the NEW VPW Western States Tag Team Champions had a phenomenal weekend. First, they teamed with Holly Renee at VPW on 5/15 to defeat The Carnival of Shadows (Jeckles The Jester & Jinx) & Kiara Dillonwon; then a four-way match vs The Classic Connection (Buddy Royal & Levi Shapiro), The Von Dooms (Cyanide & The Vintage Dragon) and The Excess Express (Alexander G. Bernard & Perry Von Vicious) to win the titles on 5/16, and then teamed with Holly Renee on 5/17 to defeat The Carnival Of Shadows (Jeckles The Jester & Jinx) & Kiara Dillon to go 3-0 for the week. This is a tag team that is back to making an impact on the West Coast. We hope to see more of them in 2015.

В

В

#4 Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson)- Name value can do a lot for a team and when it comes to a team like The Young Bucks, the fact that they're widely regarded as the best tag team in the world can pay dividends on a slow week. While they did defeat The Addiction on 5/17 to retain the 2CW Tag Team Titles, they didn't have multiple wins this week like several other teams. That being said, their victory was over last week's #1 so certainly that helped their stock this week as well. If they can keep bringing the Super Kick Party to the indies (outside of ROH and New Japan that is) you'll likely keep seeing them pop up in the Tag Team Top 5 going forward.

#5 Strong BJ/BJ Strong (Daisuke Sekimoto & Yuji Okabayashi)- It was another "strong" week for the KO-D Tag Team Champions as they teamed with Hideyoshi Kamitani at BJW on 5/14 to beat Isamu Oshita, Kazuki Hashimoto & Tatsuo Omori and then defeated Smile Squash (HARASHIMA & Yasu Urano) on 5/17 to retain the titles to go 2-0 for the week. With 11 straight wins to their credit, they got some support for the #1 spot this week, but they were eventually overwhelmed due to lack of fan support in the online voting competition and the official voters showing a little more support to the teams in front of them. One thing's for sure, they've been a force in 2015 regardless of ranking.

People's Champs. Rochester Wrecking Crew (Hellcat @hellcat420 & Rob Sweet @RobJust2Sweet)- At one point in time you could say Team IOU (or even F1rst Generation or The Soul Shooters) were the undisputed People's Champs on a week in, week out basis for the Indy Power Rankings Tag Team Top 5. That may have changed at this point. After 2 weeks of absolutely OVERWHELMING performances in the online voting competition, The Rochester Wrecking Crew are now back-to-back People's Champs. The UPW Tag Team Champions fell short in winning the ESW Tag Team Titles vs. The Hate Brigade on 5/16, but did win by DQ which got them another crack at the poll, which they easily won. With 363 votes this week, it was clearly their week again.

Indy Power Rankings for the Week of May 18th, 2015

#1 John Skyler (@TheJohnSkyler)- The newly crowned (unofficial) King of Carolinas grabs the #1 spot in the Indy Power Rankings as the WrestleForce Heavyweight Champion added the PWX Heavyweight Title to his collection when he defeated Cedric Alexander, Ricochet, & Caleb Konley in a 4-Way Elimination match on 5/17. He also defeated Jesse Adler on 5/16 at CWF Mid-Atlantic to make his record 2-0 on the weekend. While he has been ranked very highly before, this is easily his highest ranking to date as he is clearly THE guy in the Carolinas right now as he owns two of the most important titles in North and South Carolina. Skyler has worked for a very long time to get where he is and it's unlikely he'll be going anywhere without one hell of a fight.

В

#2 Kongo Kong (@RealKongoKong)- "The Monsta" RETURNS to the Indy Power Rankings Top 10 this week after absolutely exploding back onto the scene with some high profile victories over the weekend. On 5/16 the IWA Mid-South Champion defeated Connor Braxton at AAW and then beat Eli Machete the same night. He then moved on to RCW on 5/17 where he defeated Jacob Brawn. He wrapped up the weekend with a victory in the much-anticipated match vs. American Viking to retain the IWA Mid-South Title on 5/18. A HUGE 4-0 weekend gets one of the true unsung talents on the indies yet another high ranking. If you don't know him yet, go out of your way to find his work.

В

#3 Ultimo Dragon- It's 2015 and Ultimo Dragon isn't slowing down for anyone. With a 5-0 record, he had as good of an argument as anyone for the #1 spot this week. Unfortunately, what may have worked against him was the fact that most of these wins were in tag team competition. The NWA International Junior Heavyweight Champion and 1/2 of All Asia Tag Team Champions teamed with Jun Akiyama at AJPW on 5/12 to beat Kento Miyahara & Yuma Aoyagi; then defeated Masao Inoue at AJPW on 5/13, then teamed with Akebono on 5/14 to beat Suwama & Hikaru Sato, then teamed with Kento Miyahara on 5/16 to defeat Evolution (Hikaru Sato & Joe Doering), and then teamed with Akebono, Yutaka Yoshie on 5/17 to beat Go Shiozaki, Kento Miayahra & Kotaro Suzuki. Impressive weekend for a talent who is having a career resurgence this year.

В

#4 Candice LeRae (@CandiceLeRae)- It's the highest singles ranking yet for one of the best female competitors in the entire world. ½ of the PWG and FSP Tag Team Champions added a bit of prestige to her singles career over the weekend when she defeated Brent Banks to advance to the finals of the SMASH Wrestling Gold 2K15 Tournament and then beat Biff Busick, Trevor Lee, Tyson Dux, and Matt Cross to win the tournament the same day. She is perhaps the most well-known female athlete in independent wrestling right now as she continues to travel the roads all over the world. Can she achieve her first SINGLES #1 ranking before the end of 2015?

В

#5 Santana Garrett (@BrittanyTNA)- Despite not having as many matches as some of the others in the Top 10, the SHINE Champion (and NWA Women's Champion) earned a lot of respect from the voters when she defeated Mia Yim to once again retain the SHINE Title on 5/15. One of the hardest things to do is to be a top flight challenger more than once, especially on a big stage. Santana Garrett has proven that despite the pressure of holding so many titles, she's not going to go quietly into the night. She has been winning and defending titles for months. What's next for the multiple champion?

В

#6 Marty Scurll- We get more UK talent in the Top 10 this week as the RPW British Heavyweight Champion and 1/2 of SWE Tag Team Champions defeated Andy Boy Simmonz at NWA FN on 5/15 in the quarterfinals, then defeated Doug Williams in the semifinals the same day, and then defeated Lewis Howley at Climax Wrestling on 5/16 to go 3-0 for the week. This is one of the highest rankings yet for one of the UK's finest. He has already notched two Top 10 rankings this year. Can he continue to add to that total?

В

#7 Johnny Gargano (@JohnnyGargano)- "The whole shebang" returns to a place he's quite familiar with as he took his SMASH Wrestling Title back to Canada and came out victorious after defeating Josh Alexander and Chris Hero on 5/17. His 2015 has been very good, but not yet at the level of his 2013. With the year almost half over, can Gargano hit a hot streak and start getting multiple rankings like we're used to from him? He's got some work to do but he has all the talent and overall charisma to make it happen.

В

#8 People's Champ. Mary Elizabeth Monroe (@WrestlerMEM)- "MEM" does it again! For the second time, she won the online voting competition in a battle to the finish. There was some controversy as Madd Mustafa's numbers surpassed hers AFTER 10 PM Eastern, but the voting was final at that time. To get to this point, she added to her recent string of wins when she defeated Samantha Heights at GIRLFIGHT on 5/12 and then beat Angel Dust to win the MCW Fighting Spirit Title on 5/16. With a 2-0 record this week, she's still a star on the rise on the indies…and hopefully beyond.

MEM5-18

#9 Heidi Lovelace (@HeidiLovelace)- "The punk rock rag doll" returned from Japan recently and since that time, she has been tearing it up in the Midwest. Over the weekend she added the RCW Title in Indiana to her collection and then she travelled to IWA Mid-South and defeated Kathy "The Butcher" Owens where she is 2-0 since her return from Japan. Very few females have experienced the career growth over the last year and a half as Heidi Lovelace, but she has absolutely earned everything that has come her way.

В

#10 BxB Hulk- The Dragon Gate Open the Dream Gate Champion did what very few have done this year when he defeated Akira Tozawa at Dragon Gate on 5/16. He added to that solid weekend when he teamed with Dragon Kid and Big R Shimizu to defeat Jimmyz (Jimmy Susumu, Ryo "Jimmy" Saito and Genki Horiguchi H.A.Gee.Mee!!) to go 2-0 for the week. BxB Hulk has been as good as anyone in 2015, proving once again that Dragon Gate is loaded with talent and competition.

Tag Team Top 5 for the Week of May 11th, 2015

#1 The Addiction (Christopher Daniels & Frankie Kazarian)- It's rare that you'd see the ROH World Tag Team Champions atop the Tag Team Top 5 in 2015. That's simply because we no longer consider ROH eligible for the Indy Power Rankings, thus any matches wrestled there do not count. That being said, The Addiction did it without having to fall back on anything they've accomplished on actual ROH shows. They defeated The Coffey Brothers at PWE on 5/9 to retain the titles and then they beat The Hunter Brothers at SWE on 5/10 to once again retain the titles. Impressive weekend for one of the best tag teams in the world who proved that they can still succeed on the indies as a team.

В

В

#2 The Hooligans (Devin & Mason Cutter @BeardedBullys)- Well you just can't keep those bearded bullies down as the tag team from Brutalsville, USA find their way into the Tag Team Top 5 yet again. The #1 team in the 2014 Tag Team Top 50 are making a STRONG push for the #1 spot for 2015 after some early struggles. Over the weekend they defeated Diamond Ink at MEW on 5/8 and then defeated Agents of Chaos and Scott Parker & Kenny Jones in a 3 Way Tag Team Match at SNPW on 5/10. A 2-0 record on a relatively slow week for tags gets the masters of the "fat flippy style" into the #2 spot this week.

#3 Xceed (Go Shiozaki & Kento Miyahara)- It's the first time in the Tag Team Top 5 for this tag team as they won the All Japan World Tag Team Titles when they defeated Akebono & Yutaka Yoshie on 5/6. They then defeated Akebono & Takao Omori on 5/10 to go 2-0 for the week. With 8 victories in their last 9 matches, they are on a roll right now. Can they continue this success? With the prestige of their titles, they will definitely have plenty of chances to continue to get ranked as 2015 rolls along.

В

В

#4 Monster Express (Masato Yoshino & Shachihoko BOY)- For the 2nd straight week, the Dragon Gate Open the Twin Gate Champions grab the #4 spot in the Tag Team Top 5. They have been absolutely incredible recently with 11 wins in their last 12 matches. To get this week's #4 spot they defeated Dia.HEARTS (Masaaki Mochizuki and Big R Shimizu) at Dragon Gate on 5/5 to retain the titles and then defeated Jimmyz (Genki Horiguchi HAGeeMee & Jimmy Kanda) on 5/8 to go 2-0 for the week. Dragon Gate has played a MAJOR role in both the Indy Power Rankings and the Tag Team Top 5 this year. Expect that to continue going forward.

#5 Io Shirai & Mayu Iwatani- This tag team gets their first ranking in the Tag Team Top 5 as they won the Goddesses of Stardom Titles in a tournament for the vacant titles. They defeated Kris Wolf & Star Fire at Stardom on 5/6 in the semifinals and then defeated Chelsea & Kairi Hojo in the final the same night to win the vacant titles to go 2-0 for the week. Tournaments always play a major role in our rankings, so it will be interesting to see if this tag team can continue this momentum and turn it into further rankings in 2015.

People's Champs. Rochester Wrecking Crew (Hellcat @hellcat420 & Rob Sweet @RobJust2Sweet)- Major props to the UPW Tag Team Champions as they defeated the FBI (Tony Mamaluke & Little Guido) on 5/9 to retain the titles. They don't just have that to be proud of. They have this week's People's Champ award to add to their many successes as they collected a mind-blowing 421 votes to win the online voting competition. For much of the day it looked like Ken Krevis & Max Havok might win, but they fell short at 311 votes. Another great week of voting in the tag team voting competition!

Indy Power Rankings for the Week of May 11th, 2015

#1 Jigsaw (@JigsawWRESTLING)- Jigsaw came completely out of left field this week and absolutely crushed his competition in Europe last week. With wins vs. Marty Scurll at PWH on 5/6, then El Ligero at HOPE on 5/8, then Scott Star at IPW:UK on 5/10, and then Vinnie Kray at TAW on 5/10 as well, he went 4-0 on the week to enjoy his very first #1 ranking. Not only is it his first #1 ranking, it's his very first ranking as a singles competitor. It's very rare that an American competitor can tour Europe and do as well as Jigsaw, but it was clearly a very special week for him. Can he add some gold in the near future to go with his first-ever #1 ranking?

В

#2 Akira Tozawa (@TozawaAkira)- Just when you thought it was safe in the Indy Power Rankings Top 10…Akira Tozawa came crashing back in with both feet. It looked like Drew Galloway and/or Santana Garrett were gaining ground until this week when Tozawa got in after polishing off a flawless 5-0 week at Dragon Gate. Despite no fan support in the online voting competition, the Dragon Gate Open the Brave Gate Champion (and Open the Owarai Gate Champion) teamed with Masato Yoshino at Dragon Gate on 5/4 to beat Gamma and Punch Tominaga, then defeated Dragon Kid on 5/5 to retain the title, then defeated Shingo Takagi on 5/8, then teamed with Masato Yoshino on 5/9 to beat Jimmyz (Genki Horiguchi H.A.Gee.Mee!! and Jimmy Kagetora) and then wrapped up the week when he teamed with BxB Hulk and Shingo Takagi on 5/10 to beat Jimmy Susumu, Ryo “Jimmy” Saito and Satoshi Kojima. Simply fantastic 2015 for Tozawa thus far.

В

#3 Jake Dirden (@DirdEYTV)- The Dynamo Pro Champion found his way back into the Top 10 after a bit of an absence. While he's been mentioned quite a few times in recent months, he's been unable to crack the Indy Power Rankings…until this week. This week was a change from his normal "solid" weeks as he went from solid to spectacular with wins vs. Everett Connors on 5/5 to retain the title, then beat Adam Raw at PWCS on 5/9 and then beat CJ Brady at Dynamo Pro on a non-title match to go 3-0 for the week. One of the most rugged, tough competitors in all of wrestling is on the hunt to reclaim his PGP Title from former #1 Blake Steel. Can he take back what he feels he should have never lost?

В

#4 Crusher Craib (@CrusherCraib)- It was quite an amazing weekend for this athlete from Aberdeen, Scotland. WrestleZone in Scotland was his playground for the week as he defeated Aspen Faith at WZ on 5/9, then the same day he teamed with William Sterling & Scotty Swift to defeat Mr Malice, Chris Archer & Mikkey Vago, then defeated Mikkey Vago, then defeated Mr Malice & Aspen Faith in a triple threat, and then won a battle royal to go 5-0 for the week. With 9 straight victories, he EARNED his high ranking this week. In fact, he even garnered enough support to get a nod for the #1 spot from one of the official voters. Let's see what he can do the rest of 2015.

В

#5 Masato Yoshino- Dragon Gate produces two very high rankings this week as Yoshino grabs the 2nd high ranking for the Japanese-based promotion. Much like Tozawa, Yoshino (1/2 of the Dragon Gate Open the Twin Gate Champions) dominated the week with a 5-0 record. He teamed with Akira Tozawa on 5/4 to defeat Gamma and Punch Tominaga at Dragon Gate, then teamed with Shachihoko BOY on 5/5 to beat Masaaki Mochizuki and Big R Shimizu to retain the titles, then teamed with Shachihoko BOY on 5/8 to beat Jimmyz (Genki Horiguchi H.A.Gee.Mee!! and Jimmy Kanda) then teamed with Akira Tozawa on 5/9 to beat Genki Horiguchi H.A.Gee.Mee!! and Jimmy Kagetora, and then defeated Dragon Kid on 5/10. Yoshino is on fire right now.

В

#6 Daisuke Sasaki- Great week for Sasaki as he enters the Top 10 for the very first time. He teamed with Kota Ibushi at DDT on 5/4 to beat Danshoku Dino and Makoto Oishi, then teamed with Kota Ibushi and Suguru Miyatake on 5/5 to beat Keisuke Ishii, Shigehiro Irie and Soma Takao, then defeated Ryota Nakatsu on 5/6, and then defeated Konosuke Takeshita by countout at DDT on 5/10 to go 4-0 for the week. On a very competitive week, it was very impressive for Sasaki to enter the Top 10 for the very first time. If he can continue this success and perhaps add some gold to his collection, he'll most definitely be a contender for months to come.

В

#7 Abdullah Kobayashi- He is the NEW Big Japan Death Match Heavyweight Champion after he defeated Yuko Miyamoto on 5/5 to win the title, then teamed with Ryuji Ito on 5/9 to defeat B Faultless Junky’s (Jaki Numazawa & Masashi Takeda) in a fluorescent light tubes death match;, and then teamed with Ryuji Ito and “Kokutenshi” Jaki Numazawa at BJW on 5/10 to defeat Yuko Miyamoto, Isami Kodaka and Masaya Takahashi to go 3-0 for the week. It's his first ranking and with the success he found last week, it likely will not be his last in 2015. Look out for him as the year continues.

В

#8 Pete Dunne (@DynamiteDunne)- The UK gets some representation this week as the Attack! 24-7 Champion (and PWK Champion) teamed with Damian Dunne at FCP on 5/8 to beat Morgan Webster & Robbie X, then defeated Flash Morgan Webster at Attack! on 5/9 to retain the title, and then defeated Tyler Bate at SWE on 5/10 to go 3-0 for the week. It was a VERY difficult week to rank, but "Dynamite" comes away with his first ranking in 2015 after a very solid 2014. Will this be the year that he continues to make the push as one of the top stars in the UK? It's very likely!

В

#9 AJ Styles (@AJStylesOrg)- It's very rare that you see AJ Styles in the Indy Power Rankings Top 10 and it's certainly not because he hasn't been successful this year. It's actually because he's so active with New Japan and ROH that he's usually not eligible for this list. That being said, over the weekend the IWGP & FWE Heavyweight Champion defeated Jimmy Rave at PSW on 5/8 and then beat Chase Owens at NWA Smoky Mountain on 5/9 to go 2-0 for the week. One of the best in the world is undefeated in his last 11 matches with 10 wins and a draw on the indies.

В

#10 Jason Kincaid (@GiftKincaid)- The NWA Southeastern Heavyweight Champion returns to the Top 10 once again as he defeated a huge star in wrestling in John Morrison at NWA Smoky Mountain on 5/9 to retain the title. He then defeated Andrew Palace and Benny Conley at APWA on 5/10 to go 2-0 for the week. Kincaid was ranked #23 in the 2014 IPR 100 (the number he called the Michael Jordan number) and he's well on his way to moving up the ladder again for the 2015 IPR 100. No one in West Virginia (or TN) has been as successful in the last few years as him. As stated before, it's a shame he's not on TV every single week.

People's Champ. Lightning Bolt Johnson- This is his 3 rd "People's Champ" award as he came from well behind to topple Iceman for the victory in the online voting competition. With 140 votes, he was able to edge out Iceman (based out of Israel) who garnered 107 votes. After a 2-0 weekend, Lightning Bolt Johnson is well on his way to another phenomenal year in wrestling in the Midwest.
