I bet some of you are wondering why we’re running TWO separate tag teams tournaments on 11/29 and 11/30 – the eight-team, single elimination “Tournament For Tomorrow 3″ on Sunday evening 11/30 at Fete Music and the sixteen-team, two-day “TFT 3:16″ tournament on Saturday afternoon 11/29 and Sunday afternoon 11/30 at the RWA Chop Shop. In the true spirit of previous tournaments, the “TFT 3:16″ has been designed to spotlight sixteen of the best up-and-coming tag teams on the indies. TFT 3:16 will be broken up into two blocks – Block A on Saturday afternoon 11/29 and Block B on Sunday afternoon 11/30 – with the winners of each Block going on to compete in the TFT 3:16 Finals during our live event at Fete Music on 11/30. All of these matches will be released online for free on our YouTube channel so the farther a team gets in the tournament, the more exposure they are guaranteed! The first two TFTs helped kickstart the careers of many wrestlers including ACH, Drew Gulak, JT Dunn, and Kimber Lee so stakes are high.
While the “TFT 3:16″ will focus on the future of tag team wrestling, “Tournament For Tomorrow 3″ will focus on the future of Beyond Wrestling. The cancellation of “Makin’ Moves” and subsequent fallout has been a substantial blow to our growing organization. In order to secure our future at Fete Music, we need to put our best foot forward which means putting together the strongest possible lineups for both “ Alive And Kicking ” and “Tournament For Tomorrow 3.” As a result, we have decided to pit the top four tag teams in Beyond Wrestling against four of the most celebrated and experience tag teams on the scene. We have already announced Young Bucks vs. Da Hoodz and Best Friends vs. Team TREMENDOUS with more matches scheduled to be announced next week.
I know many of you still have questions about tickets . We want to explore all options to ensure that we are still providing our fans with the best possible value. We will make a decision over the weekend and make an announcement on Monday.
