Since its inception in 1985, WrestleMania has gone by many nicknames including the “Granddaddy of Them All,” the “Super Bowl of Wrestling,” and of course “Showcase of the Immortals.” We are just 32-weeks away from the biggest WrestleMania in WWE History; WrestleMania XXXII will take place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington Texas on April 3 rd 2016. While there’s always been some concern as to the legitimacy of WWE’s attendance figures in the past, this event is almost guaranteed to break all pre-existing records. WrestleMania 23 was the first year wherein WWE committed to hosting their annual supershow exclusively at NFL and College Football Stadiums. This was a peculiar event to say the least, with a creepy opening montage only fit for pedophiles. WrestleMania 23 featured several Superstars and Divas making their one-time appearance on the grandest stage of them all. Whereas on the converse, a handful of more prominent figures called it quits—one way or another—by the end of 2007. WrestleMania 23 was the final WrestleMania to be held during the WWE’s “Ruthless Aggression Era” —the 6-year period between the Attitude Era, and what’s now being called the “PG Era .” So much to talk about on this episode!
