June WrestleCrate Spoilers and Review
Subscription boxes are all the rage these days. For those unfamiliar with the concept- it is basically like getting Christmas in the mail every month. You pay a pre-designated monthly fee (between $10-30 on average) and receive a mystery box full of themed merchandise. Whatever your interest, there is a crate for you: nerdy goodies, healthy snacks, vintage video games, male and female grooming supplies, and now… of course… wrestling.
When I first heard about WrestleCrate I was pretty excited. I was already receiving LootCrate and 1UP Box on a monthly basis, as well as Dollar Shave Club. In my mind the more mail and miscellaneous junk I receive the better! So why not a monthly wrestling box filled with promised items such as shirts, Funko vinyl figures, DVDs and more??!! I signed up for the very first WrestleCrate which shipped back in April. Unfortunately my first crate did no go so well- half of the items were missing and the awesome shirt came in a much smaller size than I required (however I must say my girlfriend does look pretty good in that Andre the Giant shirt now). В I sent an email to their customer support, and received a really generous response. No complaints about the service, and I was willing to give them a pass as this was their first crate.
May's box arrived, and it was a big improvement on the first crate. May's highlights included an awesome Daniel Bryan Funko Pop vinyl figure, and a super cool Reservoir Dogs/lucha libre mash-up shirt. Both of these were worth the $15 monthly fee. A few extra items thrown in for good measure was topped off a solid crate.
WrestleCrate must really be getting comfortable with their monthly subscriptions now, because June's crate was the best of the 3 I've received so far.
The first thing I saw when I opened my crate this month was a red shirt- quite a relief because the past two shirts have been white. And white shirts just aren't cool. This month's shirt was another mash up with a popular brand logo- the Old Spice logo stylized as Old School. A cool shirt for sure.

However the coolest item in the crate-by far- was Headlocked: The Last Territory. This is a full size graphic novel that revisits a much simpler time in pro wrestling- the territory days. I haven't finished reading it yet but I can tell you that the art work is gorgeous and the story is fun. Oh and by the way… it's fully illustrated by Jerry The King' Lawler!!! AWESOME! The huge comic book fan is me was delighted.
The other two items in my crate were both related to the former Scotty Goldman- Colt Cabana. A very fun Colt Cabana pin and a promo card signed by the man himself. I've always been a big Cabana fan so these were definitely treats.

Overall this month's WrestleCrate did not disappoint. It has been interesting to see the evolution of the goodies with each month as WrestleCrate grows its fanbase.
WrestleCrate is available in two subscription options- $15 for the crate I received, and $30 for a MEGA crate which also includes a DVD and an action figure.
