At UFC on FX 6 in Australia, which is scheduled for the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre on Dec. 14, 2012, two former middleweights are set to face off as Kyle Noke takes on Seth Baczynski, according to a recent report issued by MMA Diehards.

Noke (20-6-1) is a fighter proficient in many areas and has recently made his UFC welterweight debut after dropping consecutive fights at 185 pounds. It couldn’t have gone better for him, as he mopped the floor with Charlie Brenneman at UFC 152 in only forty-five seconds time.

While the stoppage may have been controversial to some, it was clear that Noke was looking to make a statement, and that he is a very powerful 170 pounder after his drop.

Noke’s overall game has also shown to be very polished, as he is skilled not only standing but in the clinch and on the ground. He will be looking to make it two in a row with a win over Baczynski, and what’s better than doing that in front of a friendly audience?

Baczynski (18-8) is a large welterweight in his own right, typically coming in significantly larger than his opposition on fight night. Since losing to Brad Tavares at the Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 11 finale, Seth has gone 6-0 in his new weight class, and he has finished all but one of those victories.

Just a few weeks ago, Baczynski was in a fairly competitive affair with Simeon Thoresen at UFC 152. In the bout, Seth continually lost stand-up exchanges to a man few would call a good striker. Despite this, he was able to finish the fight with less than a minute left in the first round, but it didn’t erase the fact that he didn’t look like he should be standing.

It will be interesting to see if Baczynski can overcome the deficiencies that led him to this odd showing, and if he hasn’t, he could be in for a long night.

UFC on FX 6 will feature a middleweight headliner pitting hometown hero Hector Lombard against Brazilian bone cruncher Rousimar Palhares. In addition, The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) “Smashes” season will conclude its season with finales in both the lightweight and welterweight divisions.

Also on the docket will be a showdown featuring the two coaches for the show, a 155-pound tussle pitting George Sotiropoulos (Australia) vs. Ross Pearson (United Kingdom.
