Speaking through his official Twitter account, Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan noted that he has severed ties with the Chicago-based Resistance Pro Wrestling. Corgan was involved with Resistance Pro on a financial and creative level since its launch in January 2011.

Resistance Pro Wrestling was originally scheduled to have a reality series debut this Fall on AMC. Plans fell through however, and the series was cancelled when the network opted to kill off their reality projects.
Resistance Pro Wrestling which is now owned by Gabe Baron and Jacques Baron are scheduled to return to action in January 2015.
