WCW Monday Nitro – 1.29.96
-Bischoff: “This is gonna be one of the biggest Nitros ever!” ANOTHER WCW World Title match, with Savage defending against The Giant.
-Flair hits the ring to face HOGAN in the opening match, which is crazy.
-Hogan brings out Woman and Elizabeth…it’s only a matter of time before Woman turns.
-Arn Anderson comes in, and Hogan takes him out IN FRONT of Nick Patrick, but he doesn’t call for the bell. Jimmy Hart grabs Elizabeth, and Arn takes her shoe and tosses it to Flair, who spikes Hogan in the eye with the heel, and Flair gets the pinfall win over Hogan. Is this the first time Flair beat Hogan?
-Faces of Fear. My #3 most hated tag team. Good thing they’re facing THE ROAD WARRIORS.
-Bischoff just called Meng’s piledriver on Hawk “a DDT”. *facepalm* ROAD WARRIORS get the victory. They’re not around very long, are they?
-Sullivan and Hugh Morrus with Okerlund, and Sullivan calls out Pillman and Anderson. Sullivan bitches out Anderson for not handling Pillman, and Anderson bitches out Pillman for being a loose cannon.
-Anderson threatens “tough love” to Pillman and goes to take off his belt…and Sullivan/Morrus ambush Anderson and Pillman. Sullivan takes the belt to Pilman while Anderson takes out Morrus – Anderson saves Pillman – but Pillman didn’t save Anderson when they were double teaming him early on.
-Okerlund starts to interview Sherri, but Madusa hits the ring and we’ve got a match, just like that.
-Madusa beats her senseless – knocks her completely unconscious.
-Savage and the Giant for the WCW Title never even gets started
-Savage attacks Giant with the World Title before the match begins. Flair comes down and goes to town on Savage on the outside, and Giant/Flair beat on Savage.
-Savage/Flair in a cage for the WCW Title at Superbrawl…Hogan runs down with a huge bandage over one eye.
-Hogan takes out Giant, Flair, and the entire DOD with the weakest chair shots ever.
-Nevermind, Flair beat Hogan on Nitro before, according to Flair, who’s up at the commentary table. I already forgot.
-Heenan goes into manager mode, and Mongo/Bischoff leave as Flair and Hart take over the commentary booth.
