Sunday, March 1st at 8:00PM ET/ 5:00PM PT Live on Pay Per View, Jay Lethal puts his World Television championship on the line.

Rumors of a dream match have swirled on social media but now it is official. The legendary, 2nd generation Mexican wrestling star, Alberto El PatrГіn, will challenge Jay Lethal for the Ring of Honor World Television Championship live on Pay Per View at our 13th Anniversary event.

Upon his arrival in ROH, Alberto El PatrГіn wanted an opportunity to speak with his fans on ROH Television. Alberto proclaimed that he was finally among the best wrestlers on the planet and he wanted a shot at the most important title in professional wrestling, the ROH World Championship. Lethal and his manager, Truth Martini took major offense to this and Lethal interrupted Alberto, telling him he should have done his homework before coming to class. Lethal made it known that he is the measuring stick for the best professional wrestler on the planet and that his championship was the most important.

This meeting of two very different athletes in the prime of their careers is something that does not happen very often. This rivalry has taken on a personal twist as Lethal feels Alberto overlooked him as a champion. El PatrГіn believes Lethal has challenged his manhood, something for which Alberto will not stand.

– Zane Riley def Greg Excellent after reversing a sunset flip from the apron to pick up the win. Caleb Konley came out and said the match that just happened was a Charade put on by Brian Kanabroski and PWX management to stifle their momentum and further damage the reputation of a promotion that he helped to build. Konley & Riley were escorted from the building.

– Worst Case Scenario (Ethan Case & Elijah Evans IV) def The Bravado Brothers after hitting �Finito' (Assisted Jackhammer) and with a little help from their talent manager THE Tommy Thomas.

– "The Southern Savior" John Skyler def "The Kentucky Gentleman" Chuck Taylor with �Sliced Bread' in the main event. After the match, Skyler was mistreating Anthony Henry's girlfriend Amber (who is forced to be with Skyler due to a match stipulation from November) Henry came out and attacked Skyler, and said last year at Rise of a Champion he said "I Quit" this year he will beg for his life in a STREET FIGHT. Henry then curb stomped The Southern Savior and left the ring as Amber seemed to enjoy what she saw.

In Ring Segment
Nigel McGuinness came out to open the show and announced that Hanson vs. Michael Elgin would be a #1 Contender's Match for the ROH World Championship and then called out Tommaso Ciampa, informing him that he wouldn't be fired by Ring of Honor and would owe one to Nigel for him going to the higher-up. Ciampa said that he wanted a ROH World Championship match because of the match that he had with Brsicoe in the United Kingdom. Michael Elgin came out and said that Ciampa lost to him at Final Battle, however Ciampa said that no one wanted Elgin in Ring of Honor, while Elgin stated that himself and Nigel were former ROH World Champions and belong in ROH. McGuinness announced that the match between Elgin and Hanson would now be a triple threat match with Ciampa now involved and that it would still be a number one contender's match.

In Ring Segment
Alberto El Patron came to the ring and said that he is not a sports-entertainer and that he is a wrestler and he's after the ROH World Championship. ROH TV Champion Jay Lethal came to the ring with Truth Martini and said that the ROH TV Championship is the title in Ring of Honor and not the title that Jay Briscoe holds. El Patron attempted to get Jay Lethal into working a match, however Truth told El Patron to get in line and left the ring with Lethal.

In Ring Segment
Nigel McGuinness came to the ring and brought out Jay Briscoe. Jay declared that he wants a fatal four way match in Las Vegas for his World Title with Ciampa, Hanson and Michael Elgin, which McGuinness said that he would consider. Jay then called out The Kingdom.

When Matt Sydal returned to Ring of Honor, it was after a injury stalled his career and put him on the sidelines for months. There were whispers and rumors that Sydal had lost a step. That he wouldn't be the athlete he once was. That he couldn't keep up with the "new" ROH. Well, all those doubt were blasted away with one Shooting Star Press, proving that Matt Sydal is REBORN and ready to take on absolutely anyone in Ring of Honor.

But it's not just the fans who have had their eyes on Matt Sydal. Recently, it's clear someone else has been watching: Truth Martini. Never without his Book of Truth, Martini has evidenced himself a keen scout for talent. He is a manager of champions. Indeed, he is currently guiding ROH TV Champion Jay Lethal to unprecedented success in Ring of Honor.

And – it seemed – Truth Martini had taken an interest in Matt Sydal. We'd seen this before, when Martini convinced Matt Taven to accept his managerial expertise. A few whispered words and Martini evidentially made Taven an offer he couldn't refuse. Suddenly, Matt Taven was TV Champion. He was a fixture in ROH. A star. There's proof in The House of Truth when it comes to success and prestige.
But every Truth Martini offer comes with a price. He and his associates are not above resorting to the cheapest of tactics to stay on top. Would Matt Sydal be swayed in that direction to ensure his success after returning to ROH? Nobody knew for sure. However, it seems we got our answer on the latest episode of ROH TV.

Right now on ROH TV, Jay Lethal defends his TV Title in an absolutely must-see rematch against ACH! And Matt Sydal stepped into the commentary booth. After this incredible match, Sydal stepped into the ring. He offered Truth Martini a handshake. Was this the confirmation that Sydal had been swayed toward The House of Truth?

The answer to that is a very emphatic NO. Sydal pulled away and pointed at what he REALLY wants. Not The House of Truth…Matt Sydal wants the ROH Television Championship!
