First of all let me say that I know WWE doesn’t like to reuse old stables… Maybe some kind of corporate pride issue in the misguided thought that “We don’t need to reuse stables, we cane make cooler new ones!”
Maybe that is true I mean The Shield was awesome and I loved th Wyatt Family too. But WWE proved they still hate stables when they destroyed the Shield with having nothing else to do with them and the Wyatts… Tell you what.В Lets just get down to it and you will see what I mean with bringing back some powerhouse groups. Not all at the same time but each of these Franchises would sell like a wrestling version of Avengers. In other words established franchises when run correctly equal money.
#5: The Wyatt Family
Why did they split up, with no rhyme or reason this imposing force just stopped running together.В That was weak, and Bray in a former interview said that the Family will be there when he needs them.
Ok fine but really why take his cult like group and shrink them.В Stables like this can reach up to five members without getting too big like nWo did.
I mean the purpose of groups is to make stars out of guys missing that one piece of the puzzle.В Guys like Bull Dempsey on nXt who need a little extra to get over.
This group worked for Harper and Wyatt of course but Rowan I feel needed more time in this gimmick, and if it was me booking I would have added Dempsey and maybe even Baron Corbin for the imposing force.В As I see it Corbin would have been a great enforcer and the one guy who would explode when he broke free of Wyatts mind control.
#4: Nexus
The Nexus has proven it can be reborn just like a pheonix, each time introducing 4-5 nXt guys ready to get the push. The statement of “you are not here to fill a spot, your here to take a spot” is perfect for Nexus.В Anytime nXt has a pot ready to mix in to the big leagues, the invasion begins again.
This year my Nexus would consist of Kevin Owens, Bo Dallas, Big Cass, Enzo Amore, and Damien Sandow.
Sandow will break up with Miz soon, so let him return to nXt to get some hired mercenaries.В He is tired of being a joke and with Cass and Enzo as hired guns, Bo Dallas using thus to rejump his career and Owens as the breakout star and mercenary… Well it’d be a balance of brain and brawn the Nexus would need to make another impact.
#3: Dangerous Alliance
Now we get down to some of my favorites.В The one constant here is Heyman.В If Heyman represents you, you are in the Dangerous Alliance.
Brock Lesnar is leaving for a bit, so let him be remembered as Heyman builds up an army of Heyman guys and girls. В My picks here are arguable but I feel Heyman could take Rybaxel and offer more to Ryback as his new Lesnar and Axel as his Orton.
Oh and Big Show as heel with Heyman is gold. Just saying.
#2: nWo
I don’t care how you argue this but no t-shirt hangs in the crowd even to this day more than nWo.В When you wear that shirt you are part of a new world made by your own brothers.В You bleed black and white when you wear this shirt.
The group is a franchise and should be the future of wrestling.
First let me say no member if nWo prior needs to be involved to make this work.В Let Randy Orton rko HHH and start his own new World order.
Take other guys like Henry and Bad News Barrett who work great as heel and offer that new world enforcer presence.В Tyson Kidd, Justin Gabriel can add the elements of young hungry guys to the mix.В And lets face it a Cena heel turn at Survivor Series for the nWo would be tge only way to replicate Hogan at Bash at the Beach.
#1: The Four Horsemen
This is the lineage that most deserves a new run at being revived.В Take Ric Flair and make him your new JJ Dillon.
Now take the four best wrestlers and make them the unit of excellence.
Adrian Neville is your top high flyer, Cesaro is your enforcer, Daniel Bryan as your submission artist, and Dolph Ziggler as your golden boy main man.
In closing. NWO could cycle through 4-5 heels a year turning through leaders and enforcers like a football franchise for decades. Nexus could return every few years like a steroid shots of new hungry talent flooding a stale roster. Dangerous Alliance would allow Heyman to stay relevent, build his legacy, and wlevate multiple guys for years to come. And the 4 Horsemen be it face or heel would finally use flair in a significant manner while pushing 4 main eventers to new heights.
WWE may love the idea of pushing one guy like Roman to the top, but as this sport evolves we see everything get bigger. So let the roster get bigger, and let stables give overlooked talent a push with your top guys.
Six man and even ten man tags are flooding the main events on Raw n Smackdown anyways, why not let teams and stables elevate the sport.
Sure you can make New Days and Shields all you like, but no new comic book character outsells the legends of Superman and Spiderman, so I say to you no Evolution or CORRE will outsell the nWo or 4 Horsemen.
