It's time for HERE COMES THE PAIN – Cheap-Heat's Official Smackdown Countdown! My name is Mark Adam Haggerty, and I'm back in the house—on my birthday, by the way—with this week's Top Five Moments of Smackdown.

5. Charlotte vs. Jimmy Snuka Jr.
Tonight is the battle of the "Second Generation Fuck-Ups." Let's hope for their sake however that Charlotte doesn't develop a serious drinking problem, and that Tamina doesn't kill anyone over the next 32-years. Charlotte wins because why the hell wouldn't she win? She's the number one contender to Nikki Bella's championship, she's Ric Flair's daughter, and Tamina Snuka is shittier than Eva Marie.

4. Sheamus vs. Cesaro
The best in-ring action on tonight's card went down between Sheamus and Cesaro as their technical brawl helped bridge the gap between the first and second hours of Smackdown. People are oftentimes sour of Sheamus, but it's tough to hate a guy when he's consistently delivering consummate performances. Sheamus gets the win at the end of a hard-fought battle.

3. The Dudley Boyz vs. Prime Time Players
I thought everyone looked fantastic in this match, especially the New Day who provided the comic relief at ringside. The Dudleyz get the win over the Players in a highly competitive match, but are unable to use any tables due to the New Day's "Save the Tables" initiative. I thoroughly enjoyed the entire segment from start to finish; any excuse for Big E to dance is an excuse for me to get up and join in.

2. The Ascension Join Stardust
Tonight Stardust introduced his HENCHMEN . That's right. Stardust has HENCHMEN NOW! Henchmen. Like how James Bond villains have Henchmen. Now, all jokes and hyperbole aside—I think the WWE made an outstanding choice with this casting decision. Stardust's lackeys are none other than THE ASCENSION!

1. The New Day vs. The Shield
This was a great match until the final moments, but the run-in by Xavier made for some fun post-match moments featuring a two-man powerbomb. After the bout concluded, Bray Wyatt appeared on screen, and closed the show in a truly ominous fashion.

In the song Moment Of Clarity by Jay-Z, the lyric “Dumb down your audience to double your dollars” Is all I can think of after this episode. It’s not that the episode had changed the NXT format at all. I just watched the show with my cousin and uncle, and it never became more clear on why WWE is a giant money making machine.

It’s on so many levels too. I’m not sure where to start. First I complain a lot about seeing the same matches and segments on Raw every week. We complain about replays of replays of segments that we hear about during other segments. How people only have one name; Cesaro, Rusev, Neville, Charlotte, Paige. I’ve realized that this is all done to make it so the casual fan can retain basic information.

I can’t tell you how many times my cousin will call Rusev ‘Rufus’, Daniel Brayn ‘Dan O’Bryan’, Sami Zayn ‘Zaggy Zag’, and now Eva Marie is ‘Eve’. I get why Antonio Cesaro was shortened to Cesaro; easier to chant, easier to remember. That’s why all names are about 3 to 4 syllables.

There was a replay package of Takeover:Brooklyn and my family was confused until the end of it. The end said Takeover:Brooklyn now on demand. After that my cousin goes, “oh I thought that was gonna be next week.” That was the moment I discovered, if you go below the surface, a lot of people won’t go with you. It’s the difference between Family Guy and King of the Hill. On the surface it’s both a cartoon comedy. Dig deeper and Family Guy gears jokes towards people who don’t have to pay attention to get the punchline. Anybody can watch any episode and it works the same. King of the Hills comedy works with a first time viewer, but truly works when you get to know the characters and their convictions.

Raw is the product of the art of wrestling, NXT is the art of wrestling. That’s why Raw is on ‘watch, replay, redo’. The idiom about how it’s harder to steer a big ship rings true. When the world is watching, not everyone hangs on WWEs every word like you and I. With NXT WWE knows their appeasing just the hardcore audience. Even if you casually view NXT you, or someone you know have the network.  Casual fans don’t have that, that alone gives NXT more room to be smarter, because the fan base is already determined to be slightly more than casual.

Let me know if you agree or disagree, I would like to talk about this more.

As I type this. A helicopter circles my block.

NXT Opening- Video package saying NXT is starting the Dusty Rhodes Classic tonight.

The Ascension vs. Baron Corbin and Rhyno

As the Ascension comes out the crowd seems somber. I think Full Sail is still licking their wounds after  Kevin Owens unleashed his verbal fury a few weeks ago. That does not last long though, they are Yah’ing in no time. ( Yah’ing is where the crowd says Yah every time Konnor from the Ascension hits his opponent.)

I really don’t know who will win.  Graves says Rhyno and Corbin respect each other after the matches they have had.

The Ascension double teams Corbin and look like a fluid team. It’s night and day with NXT and WWE. Good thing I covered that earlier.

The announcers put over how much this tournament means to all those competing, because winning this is like a tribute to Dusty Rhodes. Knowing how much Dream affected these talents, adds a lot of gravity to this tournament. That makes me wonder if the finals will have a Dusty Finish?

It’s nice to see how much Konnor feeds off the crowd. His body moves to their every noise. Konnor sets Rhyno up for the Fall of Man, but Corbin distracts Viktor and Konnor ends up eating a Gore from Rhyno for the loss.

And I’m Like.. That was surprising. It was nice to see The Ascension back home in NXT.

Neville and Crowe promo- Neville says he is gonna win and thinks the chances of winning are high. Crowe is turnt up to 11 and says “he is callin his shot like Babe Ruth BAM! calling the win.

There is a Nia Jax promo again.

Alexa Bliss vs. Blue Pants

As Alexa comes out my cousin says “she’s so hot” and I’m all ugh. This is how the general audience thinks though. Their looks will cover a lot of their mistakes. It’s like how music got worse once MTV came around. Look at music artists post-MTV and pre-MTV. Lots of uggo’s in the early part of the century. Then it becomes, if they are nice to look at they don’t ha ve to be that talented.

Blue Pants is announced from the Clearance Rack and Graves calls her the Discount Diva lol.

This arm lock is like 80% of the arm work done by the people on NXT. That must be the foundation move for arm rest holds.

Blue Pants is obviously leading the match, she is in a hurry up and wait for Alexa to hit her spots mode. Alexa is too slow at the moment, she needs more seasoning. Bliss hits a handspring knee splash followed by The Sparkle Splash for the win.

And I’m Like… My cousin says “God, she is hot, that was a good match.” That upset me, just cause in my heart I worry that the Diva Revolution will not happen for years because of that mindset.

Tyler Breeze found out his partner is Bull Dempsey next week in a match against Johnny Gargano and Tomasso Ciampia .

Emma video package about her winning the fatal four way. My cousin said he thought Emma was not supposed to win, everyone looked shocked. Emma says there wouldn’t be a revolution without her and Paige.

Apollo Crews vs. Martin Stone

Apollo is from Stone Mountain, Georgia. Same as Jerry Blackwell and Jake The Snake Roberts , those are some shows to fill.

After Crews and all his talents hit a dropkick and says “too easy.” I feel like I was the only one disappointed in his debut. I am just not into him yet. His demeanor feels forced to me, not organic or original. Maybe if we were supposed to boo him I would like him? I don’t know, like if I know it is supposed to piss me off, I can deal with it. Is wrestling weird or is it just me?

And I’m Like… Apollo wins and I am still indifferent.

Gable and Jordan say they will win the tournament. Gable asks Jordan to say his name. Jordan says it but also says he will deny it. Gable says he can’t it is live TV.

Eva Marie vs. Billie Kay

Why is Corey Graves always bring up someone’s attractiveness? Because, he is a heel announcer and supposed to upset me? Ok.

An all girl chant breaks out for Eva Marie. My cousin “She’s hot she should be Sister Abigail.” After a leapfrog by Eva my Uncle says “She is really good.” After a suplex my Cousin says “yeah she’s real good” my Wife says “this is terrible, Corey Graves sucks. Eva can’t be considered good, she forgot to kick out and the ref had to stop counting, how could Eva be considered good when she forgot she was supposed to win. My Cousin “it’s probaby her dork trainer Brian Something .

And I’m Like… With the crowd here BOOOO!

They talk about partying in New York. Enzo and Cass look to be annoyed with the Hype Bros.

Neville and Solomon Crowe vs. Gable and Jordan

Nevilles ovation is outstanding, look how into it his crowd is. It’s weird that your memory is rewarded on this show.

As I watch Jason Jordan, I can’t help but think of Shelton Benjamin . I feel like he is the most complete star of this match. That’s saying something too cause Gable is from ‘S ota. Graves said Jordan is as quick as Neville.

I’ll give Crowe credit by being the most entertaining guy in a rest hold on NXT. He has great grunts and grimaces. Rich Brennen says Neville looks miffed at Crowe. Graves says that’s a word his grandmother uses. “You know your approaching her age Rich. You look like your grandfather” Rich says that he and Graves have the same haircut. Corey says “trying to look like me and failing” that is some of the worst commentary I’ve heard.

Neville was rocking and rolling. He gets beat up a bit and Crowe tags himself in and goes for a Rolling Yoshi Tonic and as you can see above, Jordan reverses it into a over the head belly to belly suplex. Followed up by

And I’m Like… That was a fun match, I don’t know of a team I have more fun watching wrestle.

I feel like I wrote a lot. That was a revealing episode! Ya’ll like and share and stuff.

Have a good one.

I had fallen asleep last night just as Gable and Jordan were coming out. No fault to them at all, I had just been up 17 hours and taken a few melatonin, so there was no way I was staying up. I’m working in the middle of my shift right now, and catching NXT inbetween meals. Let’s see how this turns out.

Intro-Video Package-

It was a video of last Saturday’s Takeover event, as important as that event was. This video made it feel like the most can’t miss event. They are still in Brooklyn too. I believe this show and next weeks were taped before the Takeover card, which means the crowd will be on fire.

Realest Guys in the Room and Hype Bros. vs. Dawson and Dash and Jordan and Gable.

Notice how three of the heels have first names as their first and last names? Jason Jordan, Chad Gable, and Scott Dawson? Something I want to talk about also. Is this.

Those are genuine faces of shock. I don’t think they have ever wrestled in front of or got the ovation by 15,000 people. I can not imagine the rush they must be feeling. The Realest Guys in the Room know how to get there shit in still. Enzo’s voice cracks a little bit, which I assume to be the raw emotion coming out during the “You Can’t Teach That routine.” Notice how Enzo and Cass get in their groove quickly like they had been there before though.

Yes, I did only include that last screenshot of Enzo dancing cause that is my FAVORITE dance to do at work!

Now for those that aren’t regular NXT watchers here are pictures of the other guys.

I didn’t need to include Hype Bros. cause, well, it’s the Hype Bros.

When Dash & Dawson come out their music reminds me of this Sage Francis song or Bubba Sparxxx which I’m not sure is a good or bad thing yet.

Also look at Gables head in comparison to his body. HIS HEAD IS HUGE. Outside of feeling bad for his mother, it makes me think of this theory my friend Jim has. He says that all famous people, be it politicians or entertainers, have heads that are not proportionate to their body. The big head/big ego euphemism could have some weight behind it adding Jim’s theory. Having said that, Gable is gonna be a star!!! Glad I just found out Gable is from Minnesota!

As the match is happening Zack Ryder is in the ring and all your here from New York is “we want Enzo” that is a far cry from We Want Ryder . Once Enzo comes in, he hits one of his signature moves.

That is him just walking on a guys back. The crowd chants “Certified G, Bonafide Stud.” I’ve started to realize that it’s hard to predict who will be stars, but I can still try.

I believe the reason Ryder was a rising star was because he had the star-character qualities i.e. A catchphrase (woo woo woo), a distinct look and personality (Long Island frat guy), hand gestures ( the L-I and fist pump), a move that incorporated the crowd (broski boot), but he didn’t have anything he was attached to, like a prop. Undertaker has had his urn/motorcycle/streak, Jake Roberts had his snake, Savage had Elizabeth, these were things the characters were emotionally attached to. He also did not have ring gear he can work into a match. The Rock and his elbow pad, Mankind and Socko, Angle and his straps, these were used to intensify a match or elicit a greater response. His entrance could have been better too. Non-Verbal ways to get who your character is across to the audience.

Now, Ryder had a good portion of the things casual fans can grasp and like. What I believe sustains momentum is when die-hard fans like you when the buzz dies. I feel Ryder fell off not because of a bad love storyline, Daniel Bryan had THREE of those and he still came out to be a star. Ryder fell off because he wasn’t authentic, if you saw Z! True Story, you were able to tell when his real self came out, on tv it felt so forced. This long ass rant has a relevant reason behind it. I think Enzo has a bright future. His moves of doom are not established no. Ryder has way more going for him character wise, what he had and lost, what Enzo has, that raw energy and passion that transfers through the screen. I hope that thought process of mine was coherent enough to understand, I could have used a lot less words to describe that Enzo is gonna be what Zack Ryder couldn’t be.

Back to the match all eight men got into the ring at once and the goodie threw the baddies to the outside. Then Cass throws ‘Zo onto the heels with reckless abandon.

How do you safely fall if your Enzo?

The match slows down with the heels working on Enzo’s arm. I love me some methodical body work, but I feel anything you do in a match, outside your moves of doom, should be done with the finish in mind. If a guy gets his arm worked over all match, then loses to a roll up, what’s the point? It would make sense if the one applying the moves had a finisher that involved the arm, but to my knowledge both teams finishers hit the face or back.

Dawson does good work though adding his own spices on the meal that is arm-rest holds. He tags in Gable who adds his own seasonings of asking his partners “Should I break his arm?” while he has Enzo in a hold.

If you’ve ever been to a show live, you know the action is displayed on many screen around the building. You see what the people at home see, I didn’t realize it til now but WWE gives subtle cues to the crowd on what to do. For instance, Big Cass is not featured much in the match at this point. As Enzo is getting beat on the camera does a close up of just Cass’ face and within seconds the crowd responds with “we want Cass.” Just as Enzo almost makes the tag, he gets stopped by Jason Jordan, Jordan then taunts Cass.

If that isn’t primo work on building a hot tag, I don’t know what is. Eventually Enzo gets the tag and Cass lights up anyone he comes across. Cass almost wins with the Empire Elbow, that lead to the breakdown of the match. Everyone gets their shit in, we even see the shatter machine finisher by Dawson and Dash. The finish happens when Cass hits his swinging sidewalk slam and throws Enzo off the top for the win.

And I’m Like… That is a great opening match to give this show some amazing energy. This match made The Realest Guys In The Room look like stars. All the losers have to do is act like they didn’t lose and talk about what they’ll do next.

Neville is backstage with William Regal and asks to be put in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.

We get an Emma video package. It starts off showing how she was bubbly and all about having fun, her old Theme song. Then the video shows that she did not succeed doing the nice stuff. The music changed to her New theme song. She says it’s time for a fresh start.

Devin interviews Charlotte and Becky about tonight by asking “Charlotte, Becky, two thirds of PCB. But tonight it’s a fatal four-way with Dana Brooke and Emma” the girls say stuff about how they will win.

Becky Lynch video package. She started wrestling at 15, that’s nuts. I’m 26 and doing that seems extremely daunting. The older I get the more I appreciate what these wrestlers do. Becky says she is weird, high energy, and a submission specialist.

Eva Marie vs. Carmella

Eva Marie is starting to relish in the boo’s, as long as she doesn’t want to be liked she will be great at getting boo’d. Carmella comes out, but for some reason the crowd hates on her too.

The match might be better if Eva did not have this stink about her. “We want Blue Pants” chants fill the arena. Eva talks shit to Carmella but only us at home can hear it cause the arena is so big. Maybe in a year we will be all Bayley/Sasha about these two? I mean these girls are trying hard, we aren’t sure what the future holds but these girls got boo’d like at The Apollo .

And I’m Like… It’s hard to love woman’s wrestling in NXT so much but then see this. They are trying hard, it just doesn’t work. This match is like me coloring in the lines with my left hand.

Tyler Breeze says who really won last Saturday? He gets to always look like this and Liger still has to wear a mask lol.

Bill Dempsey vs. Elias Sampson

Holy Shit. I don’t even have to know anything about Elias to hate him. He is every doushe I’ve ever seen at the coffee houses in my town. Depressed quiet “mysterious” fux with guitar and no ambition. They are the legit worst. I’m so happy this is a gimmick, I want everyone to kick Sampsons ass.

Bull is home in Brooklyn! He is not fit like he says he would be but he is happy. Maybe Bullfit is like Crossfit but for the people that want it easier. Corey Graves points out how Bull is working on his ‘ab’ it’s only a matter of time before Buuulfit is a chant.

The match is very basic. Headlocks, back drops, and I start to wonder, do I know any of the moves of doom of these two? As much as NXT is considered a brand, this match reminds you it’s developmental. Bull starts to “Bull-up” where he becomes impervious to pain. He hits this for the win.

We get a Nia Jax video, the music is brooding that’s about it.

There is an Apollo Crews interview. It was after his win over Tye Dillenger, he can barely control his excitement. You can tell this is authentic and no character.

I really want Blake and Murphys shirt. Alexa says this is about Blue Pants, is she even on this roster? She says Blue Pants will be back on the clearance rack next week.

There is a Charlotte video package where she says she will headline Wrestlemania one day, probably when they grow up.

Charlotte vs. Emma vs. Becky Lynch vs. Dana Brooke

Emma used to have this thing where she would screw up certain spots of her entrance, like clumsily getting into the ring. With her new character, she pretends like she is gonna do the same, flashes a smirk and does her entrance smarmier than before.

Dana Brooke trolled a fan pretty hard. Dana gestured towards him and starting walking his way. The second he bought into it she put her hand in his face!

The match is able to tell a good story too. The good girls of Charlotte and Becky Lynch would try and clear the ring so they can go one-on-one. The crowd is split with dueling let’s go Becky and let’s go Charlotte chants.

Emma and Dana take over and double team Charlotte on the outside so they can  work over Becky for a little bit. I feel bad for Emma. She got called up right as the revolution was being televised, and sent back down when the Four Horsewomen cemented their legacy.

Now Emma has to protect her spot from the new crop; Dana Brooke, Carmella, Eva Marie, Nia Jax, Blue Pants, Alexa Bliss, and NXT Woman’s champ Bayley.

Everyone was starting to get their shit in during the match. Emma was doing Emmamite sandwiches and got the pin on Becky while everyone looked confused.

And I’m Like… Thinkin that wasn’t supposed to be the end but I’ll take it. I had a lot more written about this but, I lost over half the work. Sorry, I should learn to save more often.

As a wrestling fan, you should have no disappointment after this weekend of wrestling.

On television, you got an awesome NXT Takeover on Saturday, an enthralling SummerSlam on Sunday, and an excellent Raw on Monday.В If you were in the New York/New Jersey area, not only did you have the option of attending the WWE events, but you could have attended some incredible independent events put on by Ring of Honor, House of Glory and Pro Wrestling Syndicate, with the last two promotions featuring rare in ring wrestling appearances by the one and only Rey Mysterio Jr.

Because of budget constraints, many independent wrestling promotions run in smaller halls and have less expensive production values, but ROH, HOG, and PWS put on high quality productions with incredible athletes that puts many promotioms to shame. This weekend was no difference. I can’t really speak about the ROH event, as I wasn’t there, but I heard it had a great turn out and was a great card. I did have the pleasure of being on both the HOG event and PWS with my tag team partner, Zach Gowen.

The selling point of the HOG event on Friday was a first time ever match up between Amazing Red and Rey Mysterio Jr. Dubbed “At Last,” the bout was wrestled in honor of the late, great, and legendary Eddie Guerrero, who as we all know, was best friends with Rey, and was a huge fan of the work of Red. The match did not disappoint. The nearly 1,000 people in attendance were treated to a high flying, fast paced contest that chances are, will never occur again. Every guy in the locker room found a spot in the beautiful NYC Arena to watch as two of the greatest luchadores of our generation. I was proud to be a small part of the card, teaming with Zach and Red’s immensely talented student Nicky Heat, and even prouder to watch a contestate that meant so much to Rey and Red.

PWS was a spectacular card in it’s own right Saturday night. Featuring Rey opposite Red in Tag Team action, the card also featured the likes of Brian Myers, Mick Foley, and of course, The Handicapped Heroes and our deaf manager Hush defended the Tag Team Titles against the ultra talented Heavenly Bodies. The Ballroom in New Jersey was a sell out, a testament to PWS and it’s loyal fan base. Many in attendance could have chose to spend their money on WWE and NXT that evening, yet spent their hard earned money on The Syndicate.

Speaking of NXT– what an event! I got the opportunity to sit down and watch it this morning, and the card was sweet. The fans in Brooklyn were into every character and every match. Seeing Jushin Liger in a WWE ring was surreal. The K.O. vs. Balor ladder bout ruled, and Bailey vs. Sasha Banks was one of the best wrestled and most emotionally driven matches not just in the history of NXT, but WWE in general. Kudos to those two ladies for keeping the Diva’s Revolution going strong.

I mentioned it on social media, and I’m standing by it: SummerSlam 2015 was an instant classic. Every match, from first to last, was something special, however, there were complaints about the Jon Stewart interference in the WWE Championship/U.S. Championship match, but had no problem with it. In my opinion, it didn’t taint the match, and gave WWE additional exposure using a celebrity, who mind you, actually follows the product religiously and has respect for what the wrestlers do. You’re telling me if you have Jon Stewart on your wrestling event, you wouldn’t utilize him to garner the most attention possible?

Also, news flash, guys– SETH ROLLINS IS A HEEL. Heels cheat. Many were saying it made him look weak by cheating. Those who made that comment clearly don’t get wrestling. Furthermore, Jon didn’t do it for Seth– or The Rock– he did it for The Flair.

In the main event, the finish between Undertaker and Brock Lesnar was– unique. I had no problem with it Sunday night, and still don’t, really.. except technically speaking, I don’t think the time keeper could have seen Taker tapping from his point of view. All things considered, it was a great television finish, but I think it left a lot to be desired for the live crowd. A finish like that really has to be spelled out to those in attendance, and I’m not sure that it was. All and all, though, great main event.

SummerSlam usually has that WrestleMania feel, and 2015 was no exception. That feel carried right over into Raw, having a post-Mania Raw type-atmosphere. Brock killing Bo Dallas. The return of The Dudley Boyz. The debut of a new Wyatt Family member. The return of Sting. What a night… what an extended weekend for wrestling.

You don’t have to like everything that happened live or on TV in the world of wrestling this weekend… but you’re not allowed to be angry. If you’re threatening to cancel your WWE Network after what you were treated to over the last few days, perhaps you’re only watching wrestling so that you have something to complain about.

If Jon Stewart ends up winning the Heavyweight Championship,В then you’re allowed to complain and cancel.

I started work at 5 a.m. this morning and it’s been crazy busy. It is now 2 p.m., I still don’t know how to write this. Firstly, I have not been so emotionally involved in a match for a couple years. That match being Bayley vs. Sasha Banks. It was on second to last and I was anticipating this match so much I really wasn’t into the other parts of the event.

Let’s try it though.

В Intro- NXT Takeover:Brooklyn starts with a solo spotlight on HHH in the middle of a sold out Barclays Center. He has a mic set up where only us at home can here him, he does some spiel about how they wanted to build the future, but we told him the future is now! He then goes THIS IS NXT!! With NXT chants filling the building likeВ Paul Heyman and ECW.

And I’m Like… As cheesy as it seemed it was a very cool visual when the lights hit the crowd. Got me excited for the night.В

Jushin ‘Thunder’ Liger vs. Tyler Breeze

Most of this match I was talking with the people that were at my house. Most people didn’t know who Jushin was, only my wife and I knew Tyler Breeze. It seemed like it was a good match from my few glimpses at the screen. We were mainly talking about the shooting star press and who did the move. Of course this led to Brock Lesnar at WM19.

And I’m Like… This will be a lot of how I watched the matches. Until the woman’s title match.В

В

NXT Tag Team ChampionshipВ

Vaudevillians vs. Blake and Murphy (c)

The Villians came out to a thunderous ovation, they were wearing blue which was a bit of a tip off to where the story was headed. My buddy had never seen NXT before and these guys won him over instantly.

Blake and Murphy came out with Alexa Bliss; she was gonna start her slapping shenanigans until Aiden gestured to the back with Simon and out cameВ Blue Pants. В I never heard a crowd cheer for a manager so much. This was the payoff to the story of “chivalrous men will not hit a lady”. I don’t remember much of the match either because I was telling the group about how Blue Pants came about in NXT. I said that she was basically someone used to get other talent over, but her accomplishments outside WWE led to a devoted fan base. When she was used once she didn’t have a name, so the crowd chanted for her by cheering her color choice of pants.

This is a hipster wrestling generation, where irony is sometimes the key. Corey Graves pointed that out during commentary and my buddy who is type of an old school fan totally agrees. From a casual eye I wouldn’t get what the fuss was about or what the character is, either way it was a fun moment.

The match was a good match to my memory, fun spots, taunts and manager interaction. The Vaudevillians won with the Whirling Dervish to become new NXT Tag Team champions.

And I’m Like… Wasn’t really invested in the story. I don’t get Blake and Murphy as characters outside of Dubstep and Benoit pants in Bret Hart colors. The Villians just wanted to title and not to be slapped. My anxiety was mounting though, my brothers friend is adamantly against woman’s wrestling,В much like Greg Valentine. В He doesn’t understand how I can get this way over ‘women’s wrestling’ I responded with “I don’t have to say anything, Sasha and Bayley will do it for me”

Tye Dillenger vs. Apollo Crews

This match surprisingly everyone paid attention to. I might be in the minority here but I don’t like Tye’s “10” gimmick. It probably will work for the rest of his career though. You can see the crowd loving the “10” chants. Dillenger’s facial expressions are on point, he just needs to work that annoying “10” thing into his matches more. Apollo did a cool thing where he did stuff better than Dillenger and did the 10 chant himself.

To me this match felt off, everyone around me seemed to like it, but my wife did fall asleep during this match also. Crews won with a Gorilla Press Slam into a standing back flip splash.

And I’m Like… Sure Apollo will grow on me, my first impression wasn’t too kind. It was funny when Crews saw his name on the ‘Tron and said “That’s Me!”

В

Samoa Joe vs. Baron Corbin

And I’m Like… This was my only chance to use the bathroom and go out for a cigarette, I came back in and Joe had Corbin in the Coquina Clutch. Joe won which is nice, we’ve seen the entitled character of Baron Corbin lose now, maybe that will add change to his character.В

В

NXT Woman’s ChampionshipВ

Bayley vs. Sasha Banks (c)

This is the one I’ve been thinking of all day. I’ve written a blog for a couple months, and wrote poetry and rap music for over a decade. It’s always been easy for me to express my emotions through written word.

That’s what shocks me, I can’t find words to describe my feelings during this match. Sasha Banks is my number one right now, she is a total package. I personally cannot relate to the braggadocio ways of her “Boss” character. I feel like I’m more humble in the ways of Daniel Bryan and Bayley. Bayley is my favorite character right now. She is John Cena but never wins. She has been stepped on and walked over for two years and never wavered in her views of the world.

On top of that we are witnessing history, women’s wrestling is slowly becoming less of a joke to the masses. It seems as wrestling fans we always are fighting something. Mocked as sports fans, ridiculed as theater appreciaters. Wrestling is a creative controlled combat, it is high drama story lines, as well as barbaric battles. It is so hard to explain fandom to a non fan. Now imagine finding people who are fans and understand your societal rejection because of a choice of entertainment. These people deal with the anxiety of sharing your excitement for wrestling. As a fan I know you have been there. Now imagine trying to fight those fans about the perception of women. It is an endless struggle almost. There is a part that is beautiful though.

You take this match with this classic story: working class vs wealthy, rich vs poor, confidence vs doubt, dreams vs reality, Flair vs Rhodes, McMahon vs Austin, the Authority vs Daniel Bryan, and Banks vs Bayley. If anyone has struggled, told they weren’t good enough, weren’t taken seriously, weren’t respected for their talents, you can feel what I’m talking about. Wrestling isn’t good enough for sports or entertainment, Women aren’t good enough for wrestling, Bayley isn’t good enough for the main roster. All that, physically and mentally was proven wrong after this match.

Words can’t do the action justice. Bayley won after a Bayley-to-Belly that followed this.

And I’m Like… The buddy that said “divas are only good if Nikki is on.” He was bewildered at the sight he was seeing, the crowd noise, the match quality, the feeling . My brother was half asleep the whole event, three feet away from the screen, cheering and laughing for Bayley. My Uncle who would not stop fidgeting because of the excitement he was witnessing. My wife who woke up and was glued to the screen because she has been on the NXT journey with me. My unborn daughter, who started kicking at the beginning of the match when Sasha came out.В NXT fan girl and Bayley protГ©gГ© Izzy В being so overcome with emotion that she falls to the ground. В This was a journey. Not just for Bayley, it’s also for the fans, for the other women trying to change the world. В

I kept saying I would cry. I kept it together until this happened.В

В Those faces you guys! That is raw emotion. That is success, teamwork, validation. This is the end of an era or the beginning of another, but God damnit it’s glorious. Thank you Four Horsewomen. Thank you for being what wrestling is supposed to be. Thank you for giving me so much pride in my fandom. Thank you for telling the right story. Thank you for changing lives of kids across the world.В

В В
That’s Bayley with her family, congratulations girl!

For those of you that wonder what Ric Flair thinks about this Four Horsewomen.

NXT World Championship

Kevin Owens vs. Finn BГЎlor

В В

В And I’m Like… Gonna be honest. I was too emotionally spent to even remember this match. I know it was good, I know Finn won. I just was processing the match previous, and I couldn’t care as much as I tried for what I was watching.В

This was a great show, I made it seem like it was a one match show, it wasn’t. If you have time watch it.В

Bayley spoke withВ wwe .com afterwards and that’s what we will leave with.В

” It’s… Like I dreamt about it forever, but there is nothing to compare it to. The moment I actually won…. I just can’t wrap my head around it. As long as I dreamt about it I was never ready for the feeling. (The Horsewomen hug at the end) That was the most important thing. The match was amazing but, that right there, that’s what we are all fighting for, and how we all support each other and… I Just… I don’t know, I don’t want to feel like they are up there and I am down here.” Her mom and family show up and you get such a real moment. Pride and love, passion and sacrifice, total risk and reward.В

Summerslam should be fun. Have a good one.

Summer time is almost at an end, and soon we'll be privy to chilly autumn days and back-to-school shopping. But that doesn't mean we can't enjoy the last two weeks of the seasons! What's Crack-a-Lackin' everybody? My name is Mark Adam Haggerty, and tonight is NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn LIVE on the WWE Network! I will be one of the tens-of-thousands of people in attendance at the Barclay's Center, hoping against hope for an exclusive Jushin "Thunder" Liger t-shirt. But what about the card? What might we expect to go down when the men and women of NXT perform in front of 16,000 fans—40 times the size of the fledgling Full Sail fan base? I've got a few ideas. When other professional wrestling pundits are making predictions, I'm doing the due diligence required to form Educated Guesses .

Samoa-Joe-Baron-Corbin-NXT-Brooklyn
Samoa Joe vs. Baron Corbin
For someone that came into the WWE on a wave of momentum, Samoa Joe sure is jerking the curtain on an event that's set to break every record imaginable. Joe was part of TNA's tapings at the Manhattan Center , and made a name for himself with Ring of Honor in smaller venues across the city. This will DEFINITELY be the largest crowd Joe has ever worked in New York. It might even be the largest crowd he's worked in America , save for the dark match wherein he crippled Tyson Kidd. This is a tough one to predict; Baron Corbin is still undefeated as far as I'm aware—at least on television. One would assume Baron's toppling of the Samoan Submission Machine would cement him as part of the upper echelon of NXT. But Samoa Joe losing to Baron Corbin is a hard pill to swallow, especially when you've got almost twenty thousand blood thirsty New Yorkers who paid to see professional wrestling. You'd also have to guess that Corbin is due for his inevitable humbling sooner than later. Samoa Joe is the kind of "living legend" that can defeat Corbin at the end of a hard-fought battle, only to raise his hand in proverbial triumph at the end. Baron Corbin could lose the fight, but gain the respect of Samoa Joe—and in turn, the NXT fans.
Educated Guess: Samoa Joe

Crews
Apollo Crews vs. Tye Dillinger
With CJ Parker exploring the independent ranks of professional wrestling, there's a hole left on the roster. Parker was, for lack of a better term, "Jobber to the Stars"—the first stop for future Superstars such as Baron Corbin and Kevin Owens. Tye Dillinger appears to have adopted the mantle, as the "Perfect Ten" is booked to compete with the recently signed Uhaa Nation—debuting as "Apollo Crews." Listen—I get what they're doing with the name; Apollo like Creed and Crews like Terry, I get it. But a simple Google Image Search for "Apollo Crews" will yield nothing but group photos of NASA astronauts. Just wanted to make that known before its too late. I think it's safe to say Apollo will more than likely achieve victory. I'll be curious to see if they do the Titan Tron "fade out" with the name change, the way they did with KENTA into Hideo Itami and Prince Devitt into Finn Balor. I'm also wondering if he'll continue to employ his "Uhaa Combination"; most independent stars are allowed to keep their finishing moves, with the exception of Kevin Owens' package piledriver.
Educated Guess: Apollo Crews

Tag Team Contest
NXT Tag Team Championship
Blake & Murphy (c) vs. The Vaudevillians
This week's episode of the Outsiders' Edge features our official preview show for both NXT and SummerSlam. No one on the show could understand why the Vaudevillians are in contention for the titles, especially since Enzo Amore and Big Cass aren't even scheduled for the main show. They're in an eight man tag during the TV tapings! Enzo and Cass are more over than the Vaudevillians, they've got history with Blake and Murphy, and it's their hometown! Big Cass is from the City, whereas Enzo's from Hackensack—which is THROWING DISTANCE from Brooklyn! I made a really outlandish guess, and said maybe something happens to the Vaudevillians? Maybe they get attacked before the show, or perhaps they're defeated courtesy of some underhanded tactics. We very well could see the "Certified G," as well as the big seven-foot Italian. Getting back to this match—there's no way the Vaudevillians are winning the titles. If this is truly the match they're going with, then I have no doubt Blake and Murphy are set to retain.
Educated Guess: Blake & Murphy

Tyler and Jushin
Jushin "Thunder" Liger vs. Tyler Breeze
I write a column for Daily Wrestling News called " Weights & Measures ," about the "Excitement Factor" going into an event. It's just your average percentage scale with 0% representing no interest whatsoever, and 100% being the presumable cap. I broke the rules this month and said this match was at a 500% . You heard me. FIVE HUNDRED PERCENT! I mentioned earlier that I'm looking forward to finding an exclusive Jushin "Thunder" Liger t-shirt, but there's so much more involved! This guy has been wrestling professionally since 1984; he was in the OPENING MATCH on the first- ever WCW Monday Nitro. He's wrestled everyone from Ric Flair to Daniel Bryan to Dalton Castle! And now he's come to the WWE for the first time in his 31-year career at the age of 50 to wrestle one of the brightest stars in the company! Tyler Breeze seems to have been left by the wayside in recent months—since NXT TakeOver: Fatal 4-Way— and has been defeated in the opening match on the last TWO TakeOver specials. Tyler is destined for great things in the WWE and the business at large, he's just been submerged beneath a deluge of debuting independent darlings. His time will come; tonight will be a defining moment in the career of Tyler Breeze.
Educated Guess: Tyler Breeze

Becky Sasha
NXT Women’s Championship
Sasha Banks (c) vs. Bayley
I know everyone is enamored with how amazing the women of NXT are, and all of the Tony Schiavone-wannabes are bolstering hyperbolic boastings such as "Sasha versus Bayley will be match of the night." Guys—Kevin Steen is wrestling Prince Devitt in a fucking ladder match. Jushin Liger is making his WWE debut. Uhaa Nation is making his WWE debut. Samoa Joe is working his largest crowd in New York ever. Sasha versus Bayley will be an outstanding match—but it will not be match of the night. There's just no way. Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch stole the show last month, which wasn't hard to do considering the main event never got started. Still, all scrutiny aside, I believe Sasha Banks is unquestionably the most talented in-ring performer the Diva's Division has ever had. Ever. Bayley is a fantastic sports entertainer and appears to have no trouble connecting with the crowd. I've said before that Bayley could very well be the WWE's female equivalent to John Cena—a smiling role model who wears bright colors and sells a ton of frivolous merch. But I don't think her in-ring ability is on par with Becky Lynch, or Charlotte, or Paige—let alone Sasha Banks. I think this is going to be a fun match, it'll be long with a lot of drama, and there will definitely be hugging and crying in the end.
Educated Guess: Bayley

Balor and Owens
NXT Championship
Finn Balor (c) vs. Kevin Owens
I'm not a main event mark, believe it or not. I'm one of those people who saw Savage/Steamboat and has since said: "The best stuff is on the undercard." And quite often, that's very much the case. But tonight's main event is going to be special. I've been to hundreds of events in my life; I've seen WWE, TNA, ROH, NJPW, PWG, ECW, PWS, and dozens upon dozens of regional Indy promotions. This will be my first NXT event, and despite how long I've been attending wrestling live—this will also be my first ladder match . So no matter what happens, I'm going to be happy with the result. I think most people are going on the assumption that Finn Balor has to win this match because Kevin Owens is on the main roster. While I'm assuming Finn will win, I'm not so quick to assume Kevin can't. Kevin Owens needs to maintain some sort of constant presence in NXT until Sami Zayn returns. Not only is the rivalry ongoing, but with Zayn and Itami on the injured list, NXT is pretty scarce in terms of main event talent. I'm very much looking forward to this match. I think it'll probably steal the show, and could very well be the "Match of the Weekend " when all is said and done.
Educated Guess: Finn Balor

We are LIVE… sort of? What we REALLY ARE? Is 73 hours away from the start of NXT: Takeover Brooklyn. This is our Go Home show for NXT's next supercard.

RECAP!

We recap Balor and Owens. We recap Bayley vs. Becky Lynch. Which got top billing in the recap here, which was nice. Hit the music!

IN RING!

After NXT's theme we welcomed by Rich to Full Sail University as the crowd chants NXT. Regal's music hits. He talks about Takeover in Brooklyn (Sad Panda Full Sail boos) – He says he's out to have a contract signing for the Women's Championship match. Bayley is out first. Mostly cheers for Bayley. Some boos for Banks, though a lot of Boss fans front and center. Banks has her "BOSS" stamp, which I'm glad she's using it. Sasha briefly pauses to exchange dirty looks with Bayley Girl. Crowd chants for Bayley, and four dudes chant for Sasha. Bayley grabs the mic. Says she's been here before, but THIS time is different. Everyone knows it. Even Sasha knows it. Mixed reaction for that. Bayley signs. Sasha's turn on the mic. Lets Bayley know that she's good, but not as good as she is. Good promo. She gets heat by saying there is a REASON Takeover is in Brooklyn. Sasha stamps the contract. Bayley grabs the mic and says she knows how these things end and wants a fight. Sasha responds that Bayley is not good enough for that. That Charlotte and Becky were threats… Bayley is NOT. And there is a reason Sasha is on Raw and Smackdown and Bayley isn't. (Ouch… – these comments really seem to hit Bayley hard who has managed to work up some tears. Sasha walks out after calling Bayley a loser. Bayley stews in the ring, and then figures "Screw it". She attacks! Thesz Press on the ramp. Fists and brawling commence. Eventually referees hit the scene and pull Bayley off Sasha.

OVERVIEW!

Really good segment. Banks is crazy over, and it'll be really interesting to see how Brooklyn's crowd handles this match. I could see a 50/50 split, easily. Despite Banks best efforts to stay heel… which she DOES do brilliantly.

HYPE!

Apollo Crews hype piece.

IN RING!

Tyler Breeze is coming out. His opponent is in the ring. Breeze has his fuzzy cape AND a Jushin Thunder Liger styled mask. He puts it on the ring post. Tyler's opponent is in the ring already, and he's gonna have a bad time! Short work. Supermodel kick wins it for Breezus. He puts the mask on his downed opponent. He cuts a post match promo. Talks about how much he looks forward to facing him this Saturday. Stands him up. Hits the Beauty Shot. Does a 3 count by himself.

OVERVIEW!

Squishy squishy. Breeze wins easily. Cuts a decent promo to get us all geeked up for his match with JTL.

IN RING!

Hype Bros are out first for this 8 man tag match. Next are Enzo and Cass. Huge reaction for Zo and Cass. Of course. Their opponents are out too. Jesse Sorensen is one of them. Graves' disdain for the NY/NJ (and MOJO) connection is great. Zo gets in, and Zo ends up getting himself in some trouble. Hot tag to Cass. Team No Entrance is about to have a bad time. Broski Boot! Spinning sidewalk slam from Cassady! Air Enzo splash. Chalk another one up for the… GOOD GUYS!

OVERVIEW!

Squash-tastic. Got the four faces some offense and they talked about the 8 man tag that's going down in Brooklyn, but will be televised in a week.

BACKSTAGE!

Dash and Dawson and Gable and Jordan are watching. Each team sporting some matching jackets. Mechanics are lovely 80s style. Jordan and Gable in tracksuit warmup type jackets. Simple promo about how much better they all are than the team we just saw in action. Gable even gets everyone to join in on his tag line! Gable's best… day… EVER!

IN RING!

Joe's music is already rocking. Joe's opponent is in the ring already. Run Steve Cutler. RUN! Well he comes out with boots and fists… Gets backed off by the ref. Charges in. STO in the corner. Cutler gets up. Joe jumps and locks in the Coquina Clutch. Ball game. Joe is leaving and then… BIG BOOT!! Corbin is out destroying Joe. They brawl up around the announce table. Get back to the ring. Joe starts a comeback. Hits the ropes… END OF DAYS! Whoa… that was nice. Corbin stands tall and screamy over Joe. Fun little brawl there. So you're saying, Corbin has a chance?

HYPE!

Next week we get ready for the NEW AND IMPROVED Bull Dempsey.

IN RING!

Blake and Murphy's music is not as awful right now. Still grating. Their opponents are already in ring. Its Dawkins and Fulton. Blake starts off. Does ziggler's hair taunt because the crowd is chanting something about barbie towards him and his strangely blonde hair. Blake eats some offense for a bit, but eventually with some shenanigans Blake and Murphy get on the offensive. Murphy and Fulton get hot tagged in. Sawyer hits some nice offense. Including a nice delayed spinning gut wrench slam. But? He misses a corner charge. Running Vertical+Frog Splash+3 Count = Blake and Murphy winners. Celebrate, but they are interrupted by the glorious piano of the Vaudevillains. They say they have something to say, but Bliss is having NONE of that… slap to Gotch. Slap to English… She turns to walk back. English is like "AS…WE…WERE… SAYING". She turns around and nails both them… AGAIN!!!

(TANGENT ALERT!) Full Sail chants "We want Blue Pants", and I couldn't agree more. Blue Pants could be a perfect fit. For those that don't know Leva Bates does tons of cosplay type stuff for her shows, and maybe you weren't sure, but Blue Pants is an X-Men uniform. Back to the ring.

Blake and Murphy's music hits as they taunt and Bliss channels all her rage while screaming at the Vaudevillains. Gotch is furiously talking with English who is much more composed… like "We got this". They're going to have SOMEONE with them in Brooklyn. Looking at how during all the matches announced involve most of the known women's roster.

IN RING!

Owens out with a ladder. He starts talking about the main event. He mentions Brooklyn, crowd boos. Starts chanting "Brooklyn Sucks", and this takes him on a little tangent. He talks about how hypocritical the Full Sail crowd is. Calls them on all their BS. As someone who rolls his eyes at Full Sail regularly? I'm enjoying this. He says how they want NXT to succeed, but when it sells out a 13000 seat arena they boo because "I DON'T GET TO WATCH IT LIVE!" He says he's going to beat Finn and in front of a crowd that deserves it! He says it will be "Fight Owens Fight". It WILL be "Destroy Owens Destroy", and it WILL be "Climb Owens Climb". Says he's getting back what should still be HIS. THE NXT CHAMPIONSHIP. Lights go out. Finn's music hits, and lights come up and Finn is sitting on the top turnbuckle staring down Owens. They brawl. Finn drives Owens out of the ring. Says at Takeover he's gonna win the NXT Championship (He meant retain) – but more importantly he's going to kick Owen's ass and shut his mouth!

OVERVIEW!

Really solid go home promo. Owens showed how great he can be on the mic. Cuz its so natural and he can easily go off in different directions. Though he his anti Full Sail promo could easily push him to further face reactions, especially in Brooklyn. Either way this was fun and effective. These two gonna have a helluva match in 3 days!

TOO LONG! DIDN'T READ?!

This was the bow on everything leading to Takeover. No match went longer than five or six minutes. It was all predictable, too. The segments were good. Especially the show opening contract signing and show closing promo. Really looking forward to Brooklyn which I'll be attending LIVE! Enjoy Takeover and this crazy awesome weekend of wrestling!

I'll see you when I see you!

The word broke several months back that Impact Wrestling might cease to be come September, an ironic twist for a company branded as " Total Nonstop Action." I remember reading a billion blog posts about who the WWE might pick up once TNA has gone the way of so many other promotions. At the time, it seemed premature, especially with the immediate future of NXT in question. If you'll remember, Kevin Owens has only recently made an impact—no pun intended—on the WWE's main roster. Before Neville, there were questions as to how an NXT wrestler might successfully transition into a WWE Superstar , but now the WWE appears to be an ever evolving entity. We're going to see Tyler Breeze versus JUSHIN THUNDER LIGER, for crying out loud! Now that NXT is touring the country, and set to debut in New York City, it would seem that anybody worth marketing is a possible prospect for the hottest promotion in professional wrestling. I read down the roster and came up with seven guys I could honestly see in NXT.

2. Jessie Godderz
Jessie Godderz
Before he was one half of the Bro-Mans, "Mr. Pectacular" was a Big Brother contestant. He proved to be so popular that he returned for a second season, and was eventually signed by TNA. Now, I know that sounds shady. Where's the wrestling come into play with this guy? Well—it doesn't. Didn't I say I was going to keep this list honest? In addition to recognizable independent talent, the WWE likes to stack its developmental system with potential superstars from various walks of life. You have your power lifters like Dana Brooke, the football players like Baron Corbin, and even soccer players like Hugo Knox. Every once in a while you'll also get a few actors, a couple stunt men, and yes—male models. Jessie has a great look in terms of what Vince likes to see, and his character work within TNA since turning on his partner Robbie E has been acceptable.

3. Kenny King
Kenny King
Kenny King is 33-years old and is the oldest person on this list. The WWE isn't looking to sign talent over 30 unless there's money to be made on their name. Samoa Joe would have never been signed if he hadn't made such a lasting impression on the sport of professional wrestling. Kenny King might not be a household name but he's made his rounds in the last thirteen years, working with companies like Ring of Honor and Full Impact Pro. In fact, Kenny King's foray into the industry began in 2002 as a second season cast member on Tough Enough. Kenny King might be a long-shot, but a try-out shouldn't be out of the question.

4. Spud
Rockstar Spud
Rockstar Spud is unlike anyone the WWE has ever hired. Daniel Bryan is often considered one of the smaller-statured Superstars in the WWE, and he stands just shy of 5'10". Rockstar Spud is 5'4", and weighs a whopping 140 pounds. Despite his size, Spud has proven his worth inside the squared circle—and the six sided ring! The subtle choices he's made since turning babyface are spectacular, but they're nothing compared to the exaggerated lunacy he exuded while working with EC3 and Dixie Carter. Sami Zayn might one day get called up to the main roster, and when that day comes, NXT will need a new underdog.

5. Mahala
Mahabali Shera
When Rey and Alberto left WWE, everyone shouted to the high heavens about how there needs a new Mexican wrestler. Now that Kevin Owens is coming into focus on the main roster, people are nitpicking about the lack of marketable Canadian Superstars. It's clear the WWE likes to have an assortment of multicultural talents to help sell tickets both in the States and abroad. The Great Khali was India's most recent homegrown representative—all due respect to Jindar Mahal. According to a recent episode of "Talk is Jericho," Pro Wrestling and Cricket are the two most popular sports in India. Mahabali Shera was part of Jeff Jarrett's Ring Ka King, and has since been rechristened "Khoya" on Impact. He's not a great wrestler, but that's what the performance center is there for. Plus, he's 24-years old and he's got a barrel chest unlike any Indian athlete I've ever seen.

6. Robbie E
Robbie E
You'll notice there aren't any former WWE Superstars on this list. There are a handful of "developmental defects," but nobody that ever broke through to the main roster, or even television for that matter. No EC3? No EC3— but Robbie E! Robbie E is from my home state of New Jersey and actually trained with a few friends of mine. He was tag team partners with the "Chop Daddy" Biggie Biggs, and eventually got noticed enough to become a longtime fixture on the TNA roster. I have a soft spot for Robbie E, but I also feel that—just like Jessie Godderz—he's coming into his own since the break-up. Robbie plays a perfectly believable sympathetic babyface, and has flipped the script on his character in just a matter of weeks.

7. Bram
Bram
I think it's only a matter of time before we see Bram in the WWE. I want to say that right here and now. Let's look at the facts, and not bury the lead: he's married to Charlotte, one of the newest WWE Divas, who just so happens to be the daughter of the only two time WWE Hall of Famer, Ric Flair. He's got the size and look of a WWE Superstar; he's six-foot-three and has long greasy hair. Bram gave it a go in WWE developmental back in 2010, and found certain success as a tag team competitor, until a few run-ins with police landed him in hot water. Bram is only 28—in fact he's just about one month older than I am, so I feel like I can accurately gauge his temperament when this all went down in 2011. I'm not making an excuses for his behavior—that you can research on your own—I'm just saying people grow up. And if he's good enough for Charlotte and the "Nature Boy," I'm certain he's good enough for Triple H.

8. Wolves
The American Wolves
Coming in at number one, we have a tandem, a twosome, and the current TNA World tag team champions, the American Wolves. Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards are both celebrated professional wrestlers, both in singles, and tag team action. It's sort of a cop out, listing them as one entry, but they are— for my money— the most desirable act left in TNA. Think about it. Who's still there? Austin Aries is gone, otherwise A-Double might have been listed at or near the top. Bobby Roode has never proven to be a draw, neither has Magnus. And how many shows has Eric Young sold out? Triple H has said that he's willing to sign anyone that can get over and has gotten over in other promotions. Everyone I've listed has gotten over in some way or another, whether it was in TNA, or as part of Ring of Honor, or even Ring Ka King. They're 31 and 32 years old respectfully, and according to William Regal's interview with Fighting Spirit : "Wrestlers only start to get really good when they're around thirty, thirty one." As singles' competitors, Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards are both former ROH World Champions; Eddie Edwards holds the record for 13 th longest title reign, whereas Davey is seventh with 321 days. But the WWE shouldn't discount the Wolves value as a team. It's become clear that NXT—and the main roster for that matter—is sorely lacking in tag team talent. Securing someone like the American Wolves could not only jumpstart that division once and for all, but inspire other accredited teams to give it a go down at Full Sail University.
