Hey how’s it going… Yeah, I ain’t got much to say, let’s get to it!
And I’m Like… That was nice quick and easy, I can handle that weekly. Also I was watching that M&M commercial and is Red the same voice as Fry from Futurama?
WWE Tag Team Titles- Prime Time Players vs. New Day(c)
And I’m Like… New Day are the best part of the show usually. It’s because they are excited about what they are doing, are having fun, are creative, and overall very talented. I am sorry for whoever is on the screen with them, because to get noticed they really have to step up the game. New Day are the MOST entertaining.
We see a Sting video of him in Starrcade ’88. We hear from Seth Rollins talking about how he doesn’t like Cena, Sheamus, and Sting. The Authority tries and help their favorite by setting up matches with all of the people Seth doesn’t like. Then Steph wants to have fun and clap again, HHH lets her know he isn’t into that stuff… I don’t know how to feel, it’s like, in public he is there with her, in private he is all “for real I’m not into it, so if we are alone.. no. BUT IN PUBLIC!!”
A video of Charlotte tapping Nikki out, and we get a way to much make-up’d Rene Young interviewing Charlotte and Ric Flair. Rene asks Charlotte how she is preparing for Nikki. Charlotte sounds like the scriptyest talker. She also has tons of like glitter spots? on her face? Ugh, sorry, I just don’t like her, Ric is so stoked though, he is like WWE’s Joe Biden. Says it like it is and is emotional as hell.
And I’m Like… There is nothing more to want than see your favorite wrestler do their thing and win…
There is a Connor The Crusher video again… For real my heart melts into so much Alex Mack puddles when these cancer videos happen. There is a video goin on the internet of after Raw where Cena and Sting talk to this girl who beat cancer. I cry just as much. I lost my mom to a medical disease, to see kids beat it, fight it, struggle it, and live life. It moves me so much you guys, that is such strength, and most kids don’t realize that what they go threw isn’t what life is. Their life is legit, doctors and pain all the time. To be someone who hasn’t felt that physically, and know what these kids are capable of mentally, it just shakes me so much that people this mentally strong have had to deal with such a weak fucking body. WWE is fucking awesome sometimes, they make a moment that will carry those kids through tough times.
And I’m Like… Roman got a little ghetto with his delivery, sounded like an Uso. The crowd yells FIGHT!! but they don’t. Now we see Sting vs. Flair at Great American Bash 1990 were he won the World Title for the first time.
John Cena vs. Sheamus
And I’m Like fast forwarding this at 3x and I can only make out all the signature spots, Cena does some of Sheamus’ There is a yay/boo spot, some finisher reversals, near falls (I can tell from long zoom ins on the face.) Cena wins with the AA..lol
The Ryback promo
And I’m Like… Owens would make a great Intercontinental Champion, but Ryback is doing a great job. He is giving his belt to make-a-wish kids, having storyline feuds that aren’t just about the title, and wins non-title matches. I am excited for this match!!
Cosmic Wasteland vs. Neville and Lucha Dragons
And I’m Like… Surprised the match is over?? The ref legit ran out the ring when shit broke down… That makes sense on why all that happened.. ok. Glad they got time?
We Get a Nikki video package about how she has been a champion for a year. She is the worst, I say the worst when I feel like the person is not genuine. She might really care about wrestling, she talks about proving herself, which she did. She just seems SO FAKE I can’t take it. It might be her voice, or her not being Sasha Banks so I get biased. I don’t like Charlotte for those same reasons.
And I’m Like… Stephanie comes out to break the news that she saw Brie sneak in the match. Ric was backstage too and did not see it lol. Steph breaks the news to Charlotte that she won by DQ. Nikki is longest reigning champion and Charlotte will beat her Sunday. I hope Nikki busts out an arm finisher. Steph makes it where if Nikki loses in any fashion, even count-out or DQ, she will lose the belt.
Rusev vs. Cesaro
And I’m Like… Cesaro won off distraction.. Ziggler is making me for real mad…. He comes out and forces a gift on Summer, she says no a bunch and tries to pay attenton to Rusev’s match. Rusev loses cause he sees the asshole hitting on his girlfriend and not taking no for an answer. Then Rusev just gets kicked in the face. I have never felt such hatred for a person. Respect the fuckin relationship Dolph. Be with Lana if you like her, if someone says no they mean no, don’t just kick a guy cause he used to date the girl you date and dates the girl you like. YOU ARE A COMPLETE DICK AND BALLS
We come back and we see that Summer was acting like she was innocent, she said she did nothing wrong… BULL SHIT she grabbed the gift and opened it. Cheaters fucking suck you guys, manipulation is very bad. Why lie? why fuck with peoples emotions? Please tell me we will be cheering Rusev soon, cause I don’t see how I will ever feel better about this storyline unless Ziggler is crushed Summer is dumped and Rusev just continues to do him. This has become way too personal for me. Which sucks cause I talk about how this doesn’t matter and how its a bad storyline, but it has me having real feelings, so something is being done right.
Big Show vs. Sting
John Cena and Sting vs. Rollins and Show
And I’m Like… The mime who loves the movie the Crow and Scorpion themed moveset and name comes out on top over Seth Rollins. That match was fun, I keep thinking about what happens next when Sting and Cena tell the arena that this little girl beat cancer and everyone Yes’s…
I’ll see ya’ll later, I gotta go to bed. Have a good one! but click the like and share and stuff too if ya can, that would be nice. It’s like letting me know that you have looked at this and read it and stuff…

Happy Labor Day weekend! I worked yesterday and man was it busy, today not so much. I still had to move our new sofa and chair into the apartment. Well, I didn’t have to but the movers did. Good news is, after 10 hours of work, and 3 hours of running errands I still have time to watch Raw!
And I’m Like… That was blah! It didn’t really move the needle in storytelling of stuff we didn’t already know. It just let us know Seth thinks he is the greatest and doesn’t like Sting. Sting likes Seth’s statue and asked him to meet him in a location no one knows but Sting. Sheamus likes the fact he has a briefcase that can get him a title.
Sasha Banks vs. Paige
And I’m Like… Please get these girls into some stories I can emotionally invest into. You have eight or nine girls with differing personalities, there should be conflict. The story is these girls want to work together to make women’s wrestling better, by working together they have to fight each other. That should be the storyline behind the scenes, not in front of the curtain.
The Ascension vs. Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose
And I’m Like… It’s interesting who they will choose, it could be a Randy Orton, or a debuting new guy, or a Erick Rowan. This is the story we are working with, it went from we don’t like each other so we fight like cats and dogs to we have three guys you have two. I am interested in where this goes.
Ryback has a promo, I noticed how the interviewers don’t ask questions anymore. “Ryback tonight you face Seth Rollins…” Then give the mic to the wrestler and he goes into promo mode. Ryback speaks in such a robotic matter, unless he says THE BIG GUY or mimes him doing the Shellshock. He said he is a fighting champion, Owens showed up and made some puns because I love puns and Kevin Owens.
And I’m Like… Nevermind Sting trying to be all Stardust about shit. That little kid gave Ryback the IC Title back, but not before asking “Are you alright?!?” OH MY GOD!! This kid witnesses Ryback winning and all he cares about is getting that Big Guy his title and making sure he is alright… I LOVE THAT
New Day talks to Seth in the back. They are the epitome of maximizing their minutes. They are obviously having fun, and are talented enough to not let it get in the way of being very good on television. Edge and Christian show up and remind us about dumb story lines and Christians non-retirement retirement. Edge vs. Rollins would have been fun though, Rollins points out how he is an opportunist like Edge.
Xavier chants “Battle” with a trombone in hand, I thought they were going for “YOU THINK YOU KNOW ME” but they did some video game song. Then Big E ate Christians kazoo. Dudleys show up and its weird how old Edge and Christian look. How are the Dudleys still doing it? They were in so much extreme and hardcore matches, they wrestled anywhere, amazing longevity…
Summer Rae comes out… Rusev accepts her apology and Ziggler comes out. Rusev walks away after getting superkicked. They talked about Lana alot.
And I’m Like… so done with this. I must not be target market.
Randy Orton vs. Sheamus
And I’m Like… They hit all their signature spots, they went hard. I am so impressed with Orton and Sheamus, they must know how complacent the viewers are with their pairing. They still get all their moves in, they still do not phone it in, by the end of the match, the crowd is boo’ing and cheer’ing and counting with the ref during the nearfalls. That’s how I decide if the crowd liked the match or bought into the story that was being told, if they count with the ref. Not just saying “TWWOOO” but the ONE TWO AHHHH!
Wyatts come out and beat up Orton, cause Orton was talking to Dean and Roman. So we know who the 3rd man is….
By the way, there are so many itchy vagina commercials on Raw, its crazy. I know there is a pun there, but I’ll let you make the joke.
The Dudley Boys vs. Los Matadores
And I’m Like… Nostalgia is fun and all, but they need a story.. Have they ever had a storyline? Come to think of it, I can’t come to think of one. Just as I ask who is the heel, the Matadores beat up Torito. Devon sees it and convinces Bubba they should help out Torito. There was our table spot of the night.
Cesaro vs. The Miz
And I’m Like… It is so quiet… They can’t really make the viewer feel emotion on anything if the live crowd does not respond to the events. Imagine watching a superhero movie and all this destruction is happening, but all the civilians are just going about their daily business.
The Bellas come out to talk… They do the Seth Rollins thing where they say the same thing over and over… I really wanna fast forward, but I feel a match is going to happen. Nikki says “you can’t deny that Team Bella lead the revolution after I break the record” She was champion before the revolution so that makes no sense. Charlotte comes out.
Is there going to be a match or is Charlotte going to be all awkward? “Nikki Nikki Nikki, we all know I LOVE A PARTY, but for some reason you didn’t invite us. So I went to The Authority and got my title match next week” Yep its awkward, she wants to beat Nikki cause she wasn’t invited to Nikki’s party. THE REVOLUTION IS TELEVISED!!
John Cena and Prime Time Players vs. Seth Rollins and New Day
And I’m Like… The end kind of whimpered, the story of the episode was Seth Rollins lost two matches and can’t get his trophy. HHH tried to set him up tonight to prepare him for Night of Champions. If Seth keeps getting the deck stacked against him, we might have to cheer for his victories. A good way for a long term champion is an alignment turn during the reign. See Seth is like The Authority’s child. They want to keep him in line, they want to see him succeed. At the same time, he is too big headed, so they set him up to fail, to either change his attitude, or to keep him under their thumb. He continues to defy expectations, soon enough he will out grow HHH and I hope its written so we cheer him and not HHH.
Sting destroyed Seth Rollins statue and road away on the garbage truck that the statue was in. I like how this was a three week arc and something a character cared about got destroyed by his opponent. I am ready for Seth Rollins to beat Sting because of this circumstance, Sting is a thief and bully, Seth is a champion and braggadocios.
Well off to bed for work tomorrow. Have a good one.

Hey everyone, like and share and all that. I’m gonna catch you up quick on my cabbage story. My wife saw our caretaker digging in a plastic bag, she was pulling out green peppers. My wife said “Your the one leaving heads of cabbage at our door” the caretaker says “No!! I’m lookin to steal some veggies but these are all rotten.” My wife responded with “Well, I wouldn’t eat food randomly left at your door.” My caretaker says “Yeah, I know, I didn’t eat the meatloaf that was left at my door.” WHAT THE HELL!?!?! Who just goes around an apartment complex and just leaves food?
Raw Video Package and Intro-
And I’m Like… Seth says Sting is spitting in his face.. Why? Sting Jared Fogled the damn game Seth. You don’t need to see shit. That promo had me cringing half way through. You can tell Sting is passionate though.
Dolph Ziggler w/Lana vs. Rusev w/Summer Rae
And I’m Like….NO SUMMER NO!!! Dolph got interviewed by Rene Young in the back, he goes into his locker room, as Rene keeps talking Summer sneaks into his locker room. THIS IS SHIT, what the hell, What did Rusev do to anybody? He loved his girlfriend so much he changed his life for her, she was the reason his momentum stalled and wouldn’t apologize for it cause ‘she cared’, she cared so much they broke up so she just found the first swinging dick to hit her. NOBODY SWINGS THEIRS MORE THAN DOLPH, they say “yes we are doing this just for sex to make Rusev jealous” Summer feels bad and helps him out as a friend. All four begin to actually develop a relationship with their new partners. NOW because Rusev beat Ziggler one night, almost lost another, feuded forever, NOW SUMMER is like, yeah F Rusev Imma go do DOLPH… Rusev drop all these hoes. For real though.
Alicia Fox vs. Becky Lynch
And I’m Like… I like that this time is spent on the women, the beat the clock too! The only problem is, for some reason, its so melancholic.
The Ryback gets interviewed, he says, “It’s the Big Guy vs. The Big Show” he keeps trying to talk and they cut to Summer running away fast and crying while Dolph chased her with a towel but went back into his dressing room. YOU GUYS SUCK!!!
And I’m Like…. Why would that end that way? Well cause Miz said he likes when big guys beat on each other. You gotta make it so the finish isn’t clean if you wanna see this continue. Miz… your like the only one that wants this. That’s why we boo you.
Charlotte vs. Brie Bella
And I’m Like… Are the Intro/Outros longer than the matches? What can I say about 1 minute of ‘action’?
Cesaro vs. Kevin Owens
And I’m Like… Well if I have to watch the same guys wrestle every week, this is probably your best two options for people. I am just fatigued by these match-ups. Onto the New stuff.. I feel bitchy today, am I being bitchy?
Ziggler is talking to Lana, he says she saw him naked and he put the towel on and she ran away… Yeah right.. that was like 20 minutes dude… She just stood there to run away? I don’t feel bad for Lana, she deserves that, I do not feel bad for Dolph, he is lying. POOR POOR Rusev.
Dean Ambrose vs. Braun Strowman
And I’m Like… That was pretty sweet, Strowman even no sold a chair shot. Let’s hope Rowan comes back in the tag mix, or else, damn, dude just got kicked out the group. This is the new mix to the feud that was needed, excited to see where it goes.
Paige vs. Sasha Banks
And I’m Like… Nikki comes out and holds the belt up… There it is, I think Nikki becomes the longest reigning champ before Night of Champions right? This is so a build to Charlotte being champion, that is when this all kicks off right? I don’t know. I feel like I should enjoy it more.
Summer is interviewed, she says Dolph asked her to talk from his dressing room. She lies, who cares what she says next, who cares… She is a liar, we saw her go into there without being asked…
They cut to crying Lana, crocodile tears.. She deserves it. Not anything bad after this though. Slate is clean, she can move on and not be a bitch. Maybe team with Rusev as a platonic relationship to ruin Ziggler.
New Day vs. Dudley Boyz
And I’m Like… The champs are the underdog in this feud right? That sucks kinda, New Day does all this work just to lose all the time. WWE brings in TNA talent and quickly puts them on top of their divison.. lol. I can’t wait for Night of Champions when the Dudleys finally get their title shot… What should have happened is the title chase was the first month, once New Day cheats to win. Dudleys say we want a table match, then the story is about putting New Day threw a table, maybe month three is dedicated to just Xavier cause he hadn’t gone threw it yet. I don’t know, if we watch these guys every week, maybe not blow the whole story on week one.
Seth Rollins was gonna call out Sting, Steph came out and talked about how great HHH was. Then Cena came out and said he is getting a title match for the U.S. Championship the same night Sting is facing Seth for the World Title.
And I’m Like… Why are the odds stacked against the bad guys this week? Weird.. Well that Cena thing happening blew my cousins idea out the water. My cousin though Sheamus would cash in on Seth, Seth would lose, but then point out that Sheamus did not specify what title so he gets to be U.S. Champion and Seth keeps the World Title. I guess it could still happen, Sheamus would actually need to be on the show though.
I’ m excited for NXT this week, not sure about Raw next week, we will see. This Raw went by pretty fast, I guess I enjoyed it.
You guys have a good one. Remember to like or share or tweet, maybe tell a friend verbally, like “hey I read this blog called And I’m Like”

What is with Tuesdays? I was at the restaurant today, like everyday, and today beat the daily total of Saturday which is our normal busiest day. I happened to have a former WWF Tag Team champion come in today, but I was so busy I didn’t get a chance to talk wrestling!!! Maybe next time right?
This weekend sure felt like a marathon. The more I thought about it though, the more I think the production crew of WWE is happy. They had the same arena for 3 nights in a row! That has got to be a lighter workload than normal. Season 1 of the Waltons is on while I queue up the DVR, this famous actress needed the Walton’s to help her put on a show so she can afford a train ticket to New York.. Enough chatting onto Monday Night Raw!!
Show Opening- В We start off in WWE Headquarters with HHH getting ready to present Seth Rollins with a statue in his honor. “Seth your not the future of WWE, you are the man”- HHH. We see statues of Bruno Sammartino, Ultimate Warrior, and Andre The Giant.
And I’m Like… wondering what the statue criteria is?
Show opens with its typical crappy song intro, I can’t wait until tonight is the night we change this song. We go over highlights of Summerslam, but not NXT!?!? and then
And I’m Like… That was the main story going into tonight, having Brock just kick someones ass really cleanses the palate of what happened last night. I don’t know where the story is headed, it might be over who knows. That segment was fun though.
Lucha Dragons vs. New Day
And I’m Like… Surprised that the Prime Time Players were not as entertaining as the New Day. That’s how the tag division should be, put the straps on whoever is making the most entertainment with theВ allottedВ time. As I say that THE DUDLEY BOYZ come back!! That is pretty crazy, I don’t think they are needed as full-time tag regulars though, just saw all their signature moves, what more do we need? Tables? Just saw that too! These guys should go do that NXT Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic or whatever. It doesn’t matter, this shit was fun, the whole segment.
That Make-a-Wish video had me in tears.. Bayley/Sasha at Takeover tears… fucking Connor The Crusher tears. For real this shit is so cool. People suffer so much you know, they just go through shit all day. They eat a bowl of shit for breakfast and once it’s done it’s breakfast time. It’s amazing that WWE has the power to make children forget about breakfast and escape the hell that is the hospital, John Cena legit can not turn heel, those kids need him, they really do. They need a super-hero, cause some times, real life is not enough to get you by. Wrestling is great.
HHH and Stephanie- They are in the back looking at Seth’s statue, I wouldn’t comment on this but Seth said something important. “This place is just better with you running it” SEEDS PLANTED, where is ourВ 70 year old farmer ?
Summerslam Rematch: Wyatts vs. Shield
And I’m Like… If this doesn’t bring Sting into this feud or at least add a little flavor to this, it will get old fast. This was new fresh and exciting, I hope it doesn’t just happen for four weeks until another turn of events.
There will be a special with Brock in Madison Square Garden on the night of my baby shower!! Guess what I’ll try and make the family watch??!?
And I’m Like… If WWE wanted me to not like six women and like three more, they did a great job. What’s bad is that the six I don’t like were on the screen making me not like them more. I am a Charlotte fan when she is real, when she is nerdy and awkward, not when she tries to be cool. Charlotte is tall and lanky, Becky is weird and annoyingly bubbly, Paige is immature. Paige was trying to get Team Freakshow over before PCB stuck, and I’m starting to lean on her side with that name. That would have added a dynamic this 3 team feud needs. The hot bunch (Bella’s) The bad bunch (team B.A.D.) and instead of the “wrestlers? other hot bunch? what is PCB anyways?” they could have been the misfit bunch.В
As I was And I’m Liking the Miz TV segment a Six Diva Tag match started… The crowd was the fun part… They wanted SASHA they did want this match.. I didn’t want this match. What I had to say was said up above. Give us stories that we can relate to please. Team Bella won if you care! Alicia fox looked like she was in pain or mad f’d up…
It was supposed to be Stardust and Cosmic King Barrett teaming but Stardust beat up The Cosmic King. Neville came out and the ref bailed as the brawl started… Neville went for Red Arrow, Stardust ran away.
And I’m Like… WHAAAAT???
Jon Stewart Promo-
And I’m Like… I’m with Stewart, he helped the future. Rollins was right Cena IS a disease. You could tell from Flairs face he felt that the segment fell flat… Oh well, Jon Stewart is totally gonna be in the WWE Hall of Fame Celebrity wing.
Ziggler, Orton, Ryback, Cesaro vs. Owens, Sheamus, Big Show, Rusev
And I’m Like… The bad guys beat up Big Show, they left Sheamus. The good guys beat up Big Show, they left Sheamus. That’s funny. This meant nothing I’m sure, unless Owens and Rusev team up, they both beat on Show and looked damn good doing it!
Bray Wyatt is in his dark room cutting promos. When Bray rolls his eyes and says heart, his voice dragged and it sounded so eerie, I love his cadence. Bray introduces Braun Strowman the “Black Sheep of Sister Abigail”
The Authority is talking to John Cena about how he is a sore loser and that it is trending, then Security throws him out of the building.
Seth Rollins Statue Presentation-
And I’m Like… What the hell, that was very fun for me, with the craziness outside my house and on my television, Raw next week will be fun I hope!! Thank you for reading
Y’all have a good one.

We press forward. Fresh off of WWF’s Royal Rumble 1996, we go straight into the Monday Night War (and ECW TV) with fallout from the Rumble on RAW, while Nitro is building towards The Clash of the Champions. В Former WCW World Champion VADER is making is WWF TV debut on RAW, as we start to see the beginning of the “talent acquisition” era.
-Our main event is WWF Champion vs. WWF IC Champion – Bret Hart against Goldust.
-Jim Cornette asks us what time it is after Savio Vega enters…and Vader makes his WWF RAW debut.
-Vega got annihilated. Vader attacks after the match, and hits another Vader Bomb on Vega. Vader then takes out the referee, and McMahon goes apeshit on commentary. Another referee comes in, and Vader takes him out too. Gorilla Monsoon gets in the ring and goes face to face with Vader. Vader calls for the microphone from the ring announcer (ugh, not Fink), and the announcement is made that Vader is indefinitely suspended.
-Vader shoves Cornette out of the way, gets in Monsoon’s face again, and then retreats. Cornette tries to get Vader to calm down, but Vader goes and taps Monsoon on the back while he’s checking on the official. Monsoon ignores him, so Vader chops Monsoon hard on the back. Monsoon stands up and hits three hard chops to Vader’s chest! Vader shoves Cornette away and hits a huge splash on Monsoon in the corner! Vader Bomb on Monsoon, and HBK/Razor hit the ring as Vader escapes. Vader goes over and gets in McMahon’s face, and officers/HBK/Razor are out checking on Monsoon. AWESOME ANGLE. Talk about getting Vader over in a MAJOR way.
-Why’d they write Vader off TV so quickly after his debut? That just seems like a strange choice. Real reason?
-Back from commercial as Monsoon is being stretchered out.
-Hunter Hearst Helmsley to the ring, with an escort for the first time – this one is Shae Marks, who is a former Playboy model. That tidbit wasn’t mentioned on RAW. Hunter’s facing Razor Ramon.
-1-2-3 Kid brings a baby bottle to ringside and squirts Razor in the face. Not sure what the point of that is..
-But Razor gives chase to Kid around the ring. Hunter wins via countout, and Razor comes back in to give the fans the Razor’s Edge, but HHH flips out of it.
-McMahon brings down Shawn Michaels for an interview. Michaels calls out Owen Hart to give him payback for having Owen running his mouth saying he took HBK out. Cornette comes out, says Owen is done with HBK. HBK says he’ll do anything to get his hands on Owen Hart…Cornette says put the title shot up against Owen, and they can talk business. HBK balks at first but then agrees.
-Goldust to the ring, and they reveal that Marlena…is named Marlena. Man…I REALLY had a thing for Marlena/Terri around this time. BIG TIME.
-Diesel against Bret Hart for the WWF Title at the next IYH, on 2.18.96.
-Bret Hart wins. Vince gets in the ring and screams “let’s talk about” and follows that with about 7 different statements.
-Konnan interrupts the announcers, and says it’s good to be in WCW, and that he’ll defend the Mexican Heavyweight Championship at COTC tomorrow night against Psichosis. So ECW loses another.
-Randy Savage brings a bunch of women to the ring…including WOMAN. So, geez, there’s another person who leaves. Did these people leave without any notice at all or what?
-Looks like we’re opening Nitro with the WCW World Heavyweight Title match…obviously Woman’s going to turn on Savage here.
-Bischoff reveals that Miss Elizabeth returns to Savage’s side tomorrow night. Yay for that!
-Woman slaps Flair.
-Remember when I asked where Road Warrior Animal was? He’s back tomorrow as well. Holy talent acquisition WCW. Wow.
-Hulk Hogan faces WCW U.S. Champion “One Man Gang” later on. Two questions – who the hell is that, and when did he beat Susake for the title?
-This is why nobody holds a candle to JR, and why WCW is annoying…this is a WCW World Title match, and all they’ve done is hype the rest of Nitro and the Clash.
-Anderson interferes, but accidentally clocks Flair…the ref SEES IT HAPPEN AND DOESN’T DISQUALIFY SAVAGE, Savage drops the elbow and regains the WCW World Title. Um…what?
-Here comes Hogan bitching about wanting a title shot again. Savage tells him to earn it.
-Pillman against Malenko. Pillman wins. I’m barely paying attention here.
-Harlem Heat against Sting and Lex Luger. REALLY stupid question – are Stevie Ray and Booker T actually brothers?
-Sherri and Col. Parker get married tomorrow too. WHO CARES
-Sting and Luger win after Luger cheats, and win the WCW World Tag Team Titles. Yay.
-Apparently this One Man Gang dude is yet another member of the Dungeon of Doom. He looks pretty worthless.
-Hogan squashes him. Way to build up your US Champ! DOD follows with a beatdown. Yawn.
-STILL showing footage from House Party, as the show leads off with RVD’s debut.
-Raven and Stevie Richards face Tommy Dreamer and a mystery partner Saturday in NYC. Presumably they’ll show this
next week on ECW since it’s not a supercard.
-Hack Myers and Taz from House Party.
-Sabu/Richards from House Party. Styles recaps Sandman pinning Austin to regain the ECW World Title, “a title that cannot be bought for a million dollars”.
-Sandman against Konnan from House Party.
-Dreamer doing a promo at the end of the show, and Douglas comes in. He says he couldn’t get “that fat ass Cactus Jack” in the ring, so he’ll go one step further, to his mentor Raven, and be Dreamer’s partner – with the stipulation that the first to win a title between Dreamer and Douglas gives the other one a shot. Dreamer agrees. LOVE Shane Douglas promos.

We pick up where he last left off, and that is week #3 of the Monday Night War. And of course throw in ECW TV for a bonus, because well because I watched it. В So things are starting to get going, Raw was very… blah last week… with Nitro not doing a lot to really wow me either. So let’s see how everyone fares this week.
-We get the very first “viewer discretion is advised” clip to start RAW, complete with a shot of Sunny laying on a pool table and McMahon saying Sunny has “used her influence” on interim President Gorilla Monsoon.
-Marty Jannetty vs. Owen Hart kicking off RAW. Owen wins with a bridge.
-Ugh, Pettingill. I was hoping we’d keep having Jim Ross to hype the Rumble.
-Pettingill announces the debut of the FREE FOR ALL. I didn’t know this hadn’t happened before now.
-Two guys will face off during the free-for-all…the winner will get #30, and the loser #1.
-Austin comes to the ring, and they still have yet to call him by his name…but here’s his RAW debut.
-Sunny conducts what’s supposed to be a seductive promo while shooting pool. She only half-succeeds.
-Back to the ring, and Austin’s facing some jobber. Oh, it’s Matt Hardy.
-Austin hits the Stun Gun, and it looks like he’s using that as a setup move for the Million Dollar Dream now. Hardy loses.
-HBK video. Nothing to see here.
-The Smoking Gunns against…”The Spiders”. Who the fuck are these guys? Gunns win.
-McMahon in the ring to interview Goldust. This could be funny. Goldust challenges Razor Ramon for the Intercontinental Title at the Royal Rumble.
-ahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha….Goldust says to Vince, “Mr. Television Announcer, is that an extra microphone in your pants, or are you just happy to see me?” Vince puts on the most uncomfortable face ever, and Lawler laughs hysterically…as do I.
-WOW, Lawler…”Goldust is here, he may be queer, get used to it, he’s your next Intercontinental Champion!” ……..
-Yankem and the Undertaker here in the main event. BROTHER AGAINST BROTHER!
-Undertaker wins, not surprisingly.
-Hendrix interview Goldust backstage, and Razor attacks him, which was obviously going to happen. Big beatdown backstage.
WCW Monday Nitro – 1.15.96
-Awesome…this Nitro is in black and white. Did the NWO take over already?
-Ric Flair against Sting for the WCW Title. Talk about hot-shotting matches. Geez.
-Lex Luger’s music hits, and the color comes back! It’s like he’s got the power of the Undertaker!
-Luger’s facing Savage.
-Wow…Luger actually made Savage submit with the Torture Rack.
-Sullivan/Hugh Morris against Pillman and Anderson…The DOD music hits…and the entire DOD hits the ring, ALONG with the IV Horsemen trailing behind them. What? So of course we have to get Okerlund in there.
-Anderson bitches at Pillman for not dressing for a “business meeting”…yet doesn’t say anything to Flair, who’s in his robe.
-Sullivan and Anderson call a peace treaty, and Sullivan says the Horsemen can borrow the Giant at the Clash. Not really sure why.
-Sullivan praises each of the Horsemen, and then trashes Pillman. Pillman starts screaming at Sullivan, and Anderson slaps the SHIT out of Pillman, and says to keep his mouth shut.
-Pillman is LIVID, but isn’t saying a word.
-Christ, ALREADY??? Public Enemy. Sigh. Apparently they were supposed to debut last week and were snowed in in New York.
-I do like how ECW billed TPE from South Central L.A., and WCW is billing TPE from South Philly. They’re facing the American Males.
-TPE wins, and they hit the Drive-By on Bagwell through TWO tables. So WCW was ok with this, but not with Sabu? What?
-Sting/Flair for the WCW Title. Somehow, Hogan against a DOD scrub is the main event, and not this.
-I love how WCW is hyping that the Clash is free, and that “you don’t have to call someone to pay for it”. As if they don’t run 10 fucking PPVs a year right now.
-Luger runs down as Jimmy Hart is on the ring apron, and Luger yanks the megaphone away from Hart – and right into Sting’s face. So….by accident? Nobody knows for sure. Luger hits the ring to take out Flair, but Hogan/Savage hit the ring and send Luger/Flair flying.
-Hogan/Savage explain to Sting (and Mean Gene!) that Luger hit him, and Sting goes back to confront Luger. Hogan bitches at Savage because he has a title shot last week and Hogan still doesn’t have one. Savage tells him to back the fuck up.
-Apparently Savage/Hogan vs. Giant/Flair is the main event at the Clash.
-Hogan and Meng in the main event. Awful.
-Amazingly, Hogan wins clean. Not amazing because of Hogan, but because it’s a Nitro main event.
ECW – 1.16.96
-More House Party 96 footage.
-Joey Styles talks about Shane Douglas going to the WWF due to the lack of hardcore style, due to injuries to his back. He said Douglas is back in ECW, but it’s unclear if he can be in the ring.
-Rey Mysterio Jr. does an interview backstage in Spanish, and Dances with Dudley’s interrupts and cuts a bunch of jibberish. Rey Rey wants no part of it.
-They close with Dreamer and Beulah in a hotel room. Beulah says she wants to feel Dreamer’s pain, and Dreamer tells the cameraman “Go”. Awful.

The word broke several months back that Impact Wrestling might cease to be come September, an ironic twist for a company branded as " Total Nonstop Action." I remember reading a billion blog posts about who the WWE might pick up once TNA has gone the way of so many other promotions. At the time, it seemed premature, especially with the immediate future of NXT in question. If you'll remember, Kevin Owens has only recently made an impact—no pun intended—on the WWE's main roster. Before Neville, there were questions as to how an NXT wrestler might successfully transition into a WWE Superstar , but now the WWE appears to be an ever evolving entity. We're going to see Tyler Breeze versus JUSHIN THUNDER LIGER, for crying out loud! Now that NXT is touring the country, and set to debut in New York City, it would seem that anybody worth marketing is a possible prospect for the hottest promotion in professional wrestling. I read down the roster and came up with seven guys I could honestly see in NXT.
Jessie Godderz
Before he was one half of the Bro-Mans, "Mr. Pectacular" was a Big Brother contestant. He proved to be so popular that he returned for a second season, and was eventually signed by TNA. Now, I know that sounds shady. Where's the wrestling come into play with this guy? Well—it doesn't. Didn't I say I was going to keep this list honest? In addition to recognizable independent talent, the WWE likes to stack its developmental system with potential superstars from various walks of life. You have your power lifters like Dana Brooke, the football players like Baron Corbin, and even soccer players like Hugo Knox. Every once in a while you'll also get a few actors, a couple stunt men, and yes—male models. Jessie has a great look in terms of what Vince likes to see, and his character work within TNA since turning on his partner Robbie E has been acceptable.
Kenny King
Kenny King is 33-years old and is the oldest person on this list. The WWE isn't looking to sign talent over 30 unless there's money to be made on their name. Samoa Joe would have never been signed if he hadn't made such a lasting impression on the
sport
of professional wrestling. Kenny King might not be a household name but he's made his rounds in the last thirteen years, working with companies like Ring of Honor and Full Impact Pro. In fact, Kenny King's foray into the industry began in 2002 as a second season cast member on
Tough Enough.
Kenny King might be a long-shot, but a
try-out
shouldn't be out of the question.
Rockstar Spud
Rockstar Spud is unlike anyone the WWE has ever hired. Daniel Bryan is often considered one of the smaller-statured Superstars in the WWE, and he stands just shy of 5'10". Rockstar Spud is 5'4", and weighs a whopping 140 pounds. Despite his size, Spud has proven his worth inside the squared circle—and the
six sided ring!
The subtle choices he's made since turning babyface are spectacular, but they're nothing compared to the exaggerated lunacy he exuded while working with EC3 and Dixie Carter. Sami Zayn might one day get called up to the main roster, and when that day comes, NXT will need a new underdog.
Mahabali Shera
When Rey and Alberto left WWE, everyone shouted to the high heavens about how there needs a new Mexican wrestler. Now that Kevin Owens is coming into focus on the main roster, people are nitpicking about the lack of marketable
Canadian
Superstars. It's clear the WWE likes to have an assortment of multicultural talents to help sell tickets both in the States and abroad. The Great Khali was India's most recent
homegrown
representative—all due respect to Jindar Mahal. According to a recent episode of "Talk is Jericho," Pro Wrestling and Cricket are the two most popular sports in India. Mahabali Shera was part of Jeff Jarrett's Ring Ka King, and has since been rechristened "Khoya" on Impact. He's not a great wrestler, but that's what the performance center is there for. Plus, he's 24-years old and he's got a barrel chest unlike any Indian athlete I've ever seen.
Robbie E
You'll notice there aren't any former WWE Superstars on this list. There are a handful of "developmental defects," but nobody that ever broke through to the main roster, or even television for that matter. No EC3? No EC3—
but
Robbie E! Robbie E is from my home state of New Jersey and actually trained with a few friends of mine. He was tag team partners with the "Chop Daddy" Biggie Biggs, and eventually got noticed enough to become a longtime fixture on the TNA roster. I have a soft spot for Robbie E, but I also feel that—just like Jessie Godderz—he's coming into his own since the break-up. Robbie plays a perfectly believable sympathetic babyface, and has flipped the script on his character in just a matter of weeks.
Bram
I think it's only a matter of time before we see Bram in the WWE. I want to say that right here and now. Let's look at the facts, and not bury the lead: he's married to Charlotte, one of the newest WWE Divas, who just so happens to be the daughter of the only
two time
WWE Hall of Famer, Ric Flair. He's got the size and look of a WWE Superstar; he's six-foot-three and has long greasy hair. Bram gave it a go in WWE developmental back in 2010, and found certain success as a tag team competitor, until a few run-ins with police landed him in hot water. Bram is only 28—in fact he's just about one month older than I am, so I feel like I can accurately gauge his temperament when this all went down in 2011. I'm not making an excuses for his behavior—that you can research on your own—I'm just saying people grow up. And if he's good enough for Charlotte and the "Nature Boy," I'm certain he's good enough for Triple H.
The American Wolves
Coming in at number one, we have a tandem, a twosome, and the current TNA World tag team champions, the
American
Wolves. Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards are both celebrated professional wrestlers, both in singles, and tag team action. It's sort of a cop out, listing them as one entry, but they are—
for my money—
the most desirable act left in TNA. Think about it. Who's still there? Austin Aries is gone, otherwise A-Double might have been listed at or near the top. Bobby Roode has never proven to be a draw, neither has Magnus. And how many shows has Eric Young sold out? Triple H has said that he's willing to sign anyone that can get over and has
gotten
over in other promotions. Everyone I've listed has gotten over in some way or another, whether it was in TNA, or as part of Ring of Honor, or even Ring Ka King. They're 31 and 32 years old respectfully, and according to William Regal's interview with
Fighting Spirit
: "Wrestlers only start to get really good when they're around thirty, thirty one." As singles' competitors, Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards are
both
former ROH World Champions; Eddie Edwards holds the record for 13
th
longest title reign, whereas Davey is seventh with 321 days. But the WWE shouldn't discount the Wolves value as a team. It's become clear that NXT—and the main roster for that matter—is sorely lacking in tag team talent. Securing someone like the American Wolves could not only jumpstart that division once and for all, but inspire
other
accredited teams to give it a go down at Full Sail University.

It’s been more than a month since the WWE Network has featured a Sunday night live event, but the wait is over because tonight is BATTLEGROUND! As of this writing—3:30 AM EST—there are only SIX matches announced for the card. The Miz and Big Show might still go head-to-head, but without the Intercontinental title on the line, as Ryback is temporarily sidelined with an injury. There’ve also been rumblings about a possible Divas match—with Sasha Banks and Charlotte headed to St. Louis, we could very well see them inside the Scottrade Center. Enough about the matches we might see and let’s focus on what’s been announced. My name is Mark Haggerty, and when everybody else is offering up picks or predictions, I’m delivering my “Educated Guess.”
WWE King of the RingВ
King Barrett (K) vs. R Truth
This is the 12th time King Barrett and R Truth have wrestled on television since the start of the Intercontinental Keystone Cops Program began back in March. This is the second pay per view in a row featuring Truth and Barrett competing over what was
once
a coveted artifact—the King of the Ring crown. In fact, aside from one, every Mountain Dew sponsored Kick Off since Wrestlemania has featured either King Barrett or R Truth. A winner? Certainly not the fans. Here’s my question: will the WWE bump this match up to the main show now that they’re down a triple threat? Or will they make up the time with something else. Let’s get a chant going guys: “Something Else! Something else!” I take issue with the idea of the KOTR crown being traded superfluously on the pre show to a C-rate ‘Network Special. I assume Truth is going to win; Wade Barrett should go to Japan.
Educated Guess: R Truth
Randy Orton vs. Sheamus
I like Sheamus. I like Randy Orton. I do not like Sheamus versus Randy Orton. Baby face Orton makes me sick, and “Are You Not Entertained” Sheamus is not entertaining. For the record, I do not think he looks stupid. I like his music, I like his look, I think he’s a good worker, but his goofy catchphrases are too much. Especially when they’re flagrantly lifted from Oscar winning movies like
Gladiator
. I have absolutely no emotional investment in this match whatsoever. Not one iota of interest and I’ll more than likely be assembling a sandwich while it’s on. My educated guess? Pepper ham, roast turkey breast, provolone cheese.
Educated Guess: Randy Orton
Roman Reigns vs. Bray Wyatt
If Bray doesn’t win this match, he needs to take some time away from the roster. Bray Wyatt is one of my favorite
characters
in the WWE, and I’m not as hard on his work in the ring as some other critics tend to be. But I do find it bizarre that Bray Wyatt has seemingly zero wins under his belt. None that matter, at least. It doesn’t matter how many times he beats Dean Ambrose on Raw or Smackdown, the last time he came out on the winning end of a storyline was against Chris Jericho. That was Summerslam 2014—eleven months ago. He’s been caught in a perpetual downward spiral since then and I’m just not sure how I’m suppose to feel about him. A diabolical heel should perhaps rack up a couple of tallies in the “W Column,” but that’s not the case with the “New Face of Fear.” What’s to fear about a guy who only appears on television and never delivers on what he promises? I think this entire thing should end with Roman Reigns tossing a hammer into the Titan Tron as Bray Wyatt is telling the masses: “We shall prevail!” Does anybody get that reference? It would be a nice advertising tie-in for Apple. That’s all I’ll say. Given the WWE and their erratic and almost neurotically balance booking, I’m willing to bet Roman Reigns pulls this one out.
Educated Guess: Roman Reigns
WWE World Tag Team Championship
The Primetime Players (c) vs. The New Day
The “Not Quite Ready for Primetime Players” was the nickname given to the inaugural cast of Saturday Night Live. Did you know that? I like to toss together some random tidbits whenever I can—whenever they
APPLY
I should say. Unlike the WWE announcers; Jerry Lawler has 6 interchangeable jokes for everybody on the roster, and JBL name drops every pop culture reference whenever he’s given time to talk. Let’s talk about this match though: the Primetime Players are defending their world tag team titles against the
proprietors of positivity
themselves, the New Day. Big E and Kofi Kingston took on the Lucha Dragons this past week on Smackdown, and it would be
assumed
that same tandem will represent the clique once more. I’ve said before—I think running with the Primetime Players as tag team champions was the WWE’s way of saying “Thank You” for everything Darren and Titus do. I think it’s probably time for the New Day to regain the straps, but with Summerslam just mere weeks away, I guess I shouldn’t be so sure. I’m going to go out on a limb and say the Primetime Players retain their titles, and live to fight another day.
Educated Guess: The Primetime Players
WWE U.S. Championship
John Cena (c) vs. Kevin Owens
The match that most people are more than likely waiting to see is the rubber match between two of the most popular and—yes I’m going to say it—
POLARIZING
members of the WWE roster. John Cena has offered to put his United States Championship on the line in the past, but Owens has always declined. Until weeks ago, when the man Rusev called a “French American” made it very clear: he wants that US Title, because Cena has it. I feel like there’s a lot of hype going into this match; can their third and potentially final (for a while) battle possibly meet expectation? I’m most certainly optimistic. Given the unlimited potential of Owens and the unstoppable determination of Cena, I think it’s same to say we haven’t seen anything yet. In terms of picking a winner, we need to look a few weeks ahead. I’ll be attending both Summerslam and NXT Brooklyn, both of which are poised to be much bigger shows than
BATTLEGROUND
. Owens is set to challenge Finn Balor in a rematch for the NXT Championship; is the WWE really going to have the
United States
champion from the main roster lose to the NXT Champion? I don’t think so—but I also didn’t think Jushin “Thunder” Liger would be on this show. While I can’t predict the future for Owens, I’m having an equally hard time figuring out where Cena might be in a matter of months. Will John Cena MD – Pediatric Thuganomics decide to enter the world title scene any time soon? So many questions, and to answer the one right in front of me: I think John Cena is walking out of St. Louis with the U.S. Championship.
Educated Guess: John Cena
WWE World Heavyweight ChampionshipВ
Seth Rollins (c) vs. Brock Lesnar
The Undertaker will be appearing on Raw tomorrow night, and rumors are running rampant that he could be wrestling at this year’s “Biggest Party of the Summer.” While I don’t
personally
ever want to see ‘Taker again, I get his appeal and I’d rather they use him at Summerslam than just shoehorn him into Wrestlemania during the first week of March. So why am I talking about the Undertaker? Well let me first say, I do not think Brock Lesnar is going to win this match. I’ll speak to my point from earlier—Battleground just isn’t a big enough show. So how could Seth possibly retain his title, especially now that J&J Security are out, Kane is crippled, and Stephanie McMahon is the new
face
of the Diva’s Division? Well I mentioned the Undertaker. Not only did I mention the Undertaker, but Seth Rollins mentions the Undertaker on a seemingly regular basis while berating Kane. Now that the Demon is out, might the Phenom step up to defend “his baby brother?” There’s talk that the ‘Taker might finally retire in 2016, and if so I think a Seth Rollins program with the title in contention could be a fun way to sail off into Wrestlemania Season. Whether something like that happens remains to be seen, but I definitely think the match will end in a disqualification.
Educated Guess: Brock Lesnar via DQ
