Welcome back Cheap-Heaters! We are live and in technicolor! There are two wrestling Pay Per View Extravaganzas… (Oh, you only know of Night of Champions?) – Ring of Honor has their All-Star Extravaganza. But? I'm not here to handicap that. So here is the Over/Under for Night of Champions. Every championship in the WWE is on the line! Much like Jay Lethal in Ring of Honor, WWE's franchise player, "The Man" Seth Rollins will be defending TWO championships at NOC. Lets see what Vegas has to say about the 8 matches (Including the preshow) .

Pre Show

HOW WE GOT HERE!

For the last few months Stardust has been obsessed with Neville. As they play into a comic book styled feud. Stardust being the super villain to Neville's super hero. They had a tag match at Summerslam where Neville and the Green Arrow teamed up against Neville and King Barrett. I thought the Red and Green Arrow winning ended things. (I was wrong) – Stardust has enlisted the assistance of the Ascension in a budding stable calling themselves the "Cosmic Wasteland". Add a pinch of the Lucha Dragons who were the guys that helped bail Neville out during a beat down. BOOM! We have ourselves a pre-show match! Its good to see the Ascension having something to do that ISN'T predicated on them cutting promos on defunct tag teams with members in their 50s, 60s, or older.

FAVORITES!

Cosmic Wasteland: -200. They are a budding collective. A win here would go nicely with establishing them as a unit.

UNDERDOGS!

Neville and the Dragons: +140. No real reason for them to win. Neville got the win at Summerslam. Makes much more sense for the CW to get the W.

PROP BETS O' THE MATCH!

Over/Under Total Number of Flips and/or Rotations: 47.5

Tag Titles

HOW WE GOT HERE!

The New Day is the awesomest thing in wrestling the last 3-4 months. Consistently the highlight of whatever segment they are and whatever show they're on. They regained the tag team championships at Summerslam. The night after? The Dudley Boyz returned to the WWE. Which is also awesome. These two have set down the path to a title match. The New Day has been petitioning the WWE Universe to #SaveTheTables, in an effort to keep themselves being smashed through furniture at the hands of their new rivals.

FAVORITES!

The New Day: -150. Dudleys JUST returned. Makes sense for the New Day to hold onto the belts and continue to be awesome and dominate the Tag Division.

UNDERDOGS!

The Dudley Boys: +100. Not impossible they'll find themselves the TEN TIME WWE tag team champion.

PROP BETS O' THE MATCH!

Will the New Day go through a table? Yes: -200. No: +400
Over/Under Total members of New Day going through table: 1.5

Rusev vs. Ziggler

HOW WE GOT HERE!

Previously… On the Ziggler and the Rusev. Rusev and Lana broke up. Rusev went all emo until he met Summer Rae. Lana went on the rebound with Dolph Ziggler. People were slapped. Ziggler got hurt (Read: Went to film a movie) – Summer and Lana brawled. This was looking like it'd be a mixed tag, BUT? Lana got hurt while training. So she's out. We get this instead. At Summerslam they fought to a… double count out? I legit don't remember. The best part of this feud will be it ending. Hopefully this gets us THERE.

FAVORITE!

Ziggler: -100. Can't remember the last time Ziggler was a favorite. But he's giving gifts to Summer Rae. He came off heelish (Not sure if that was on purpose, or not) – but with Lana on the shelf, I'm guessing he gets some sort of revenge on the dastardly duo.

UNDERDOG!

Rusev: +100. Really close to a pick em. I won't be THAT surprised if Rusev gets the victory here. They like him, and seemingly want to do good things with him. So? Maybe he wins?!

PROP BETS O' THE MATCH!

Summer Rae + Ziggles 4eva? No: -300. Yes: +240.

Wyatts vs. Shield

HOW WE GOT HERE!

Bray cost Roman Reigns a chance at winning Money in the Bank. Since then, Bray has brought Harper back into the fold. So Reigns brought Ambrose back. The Shield Lite won at Summerslam, but Bray wasn't done. he brought in the "Black Sheep", Braun Stowman. A monster of a man. Every time the Shield tried to enlist the help of someone: Orton, the healthy Uso? Bray struck. They got shelved, and the Wyatt Family continues to be on the "power play" (Yeah that's a hockey reference… NHL season just around the corner!) So the Shield bros, say they HAVE a partner, but they aren't saying a word about who it is. We'll see him at Night of Champions.

FAVORITES!

The Wyatt Family: -100. This line moves with whoever is the third on Roman and Dean's team. If its, say, Daniel Bryan? Roman and Dean become WILD favorites. If its Cesaro, Erik Rowan, or… someone else? It always floats around even money.

UNDERDOGS!

Roman and Dean: EVEN. Like I said above, the partner makes and or breaks this bet. Roman and Dean got a nice win on Smackdown. SSSSOOOOOOO? (Look strong going into a PPV, and lose)

PROP BETS O' THE MATCH!

WHO IS the PARTNER: Cesaro: -200. Erik Rowan: -100. Daniel Bryan: +100. Savio Vega: +210. Great Khali: +400. CM PUNK: +eleventy billion

IC Title copy 3

HOW WE GOT HERE!

Ryback says "FEED ME MORE". People poke fun at Kevin Owens' weight. He cuts a promo about "FEEDING HIM MORE". (Get it?) So Owens walks into a Ryback promo eating an apple (He, sadly, he is not spitting in the face of people who don't want to be cool) – The two fight a little bit. Yell at each other a little bit. Ryback sings Elvis. Owens destroys Ziggler. As a series of statements this is confusing… Welp? We have Owens vs. Ryback for the Intercontinental Championship.

FAVORITE!

Kevin Owens: -300. Might be the handicapper's heart choosing a line here. Ryback hasn't exactly done much of note as an IC champion. Maybe they still want to elevate the prestige of the championship. I think Owens is the perfect guy to do that.

UNDERDOG!

Ryback: +150.

PROP BETS O' THE MATCH!

MATCH OF THE NIGHT? ARE YOU KIDDING?! OWENS ISN'T THAT GOOD: -450. Sure… Why not?! +400.
Ryback's Indy Move of the Match: Suicide Dive: -100. Poison Rana: +400. Drop Toe Hold: -450. Canadian Destroyer: +300.

Divas Championship copy 3

HOW WE GOT HERE!

A revolution began. Three of the NXT Women got the call up to the Main Roster. Then with little to no reason, the three teams of three just split off and fought in random single and tag matches. They had a three team elimination match at Summerslam, which Team PCB won. Which gave them the chance to fight for the right to earn #1 contendership. They rocked a beat the clock. Charlotte won. We finally got a little direction to this #DivasRevolution. Plus add Nikki Bella approaching AJ Lee's longest Diva Title reign, and Charlotte challenging her BEFORE Nikki broke it. They went with Twin Magic that backfired, so we had Brie pulling tissues out of her bra… again… and then Steph reversed a decision… cuz WHY?! But she did give Charlotte a return match for Night of Champions.

FAVORITES!

Nikki Bella: -130. I think it makes sense for Nikki to win here. Now that they are seem more dedicated to having her be an actual HEEL? She should d-bag her way into holding the title for another few months. Maybe leading to a triple threat or for corners elimination match at Survivor Series (See? Cuz its SURVIVOR Series, so have a match you have to survive!)

UNDERDOGS!

Charlotte: +88. Yeah not a bit of a surprise if, since they now have Nikki being the longest reigning Divas Champ ever, they truly move on in this revolution.

btw… Banks has tapped Nikki and Charlotte… and has beaten Paige like 457 times now. #GiveSashaAChance!

PROP BETS O' THE MATCH!

Twin Magic: Yes: -200. No: +150. YES, but they do it Foxxy! +650

US Title copy

HOW WE GOT HERE!

Seth beat Cena in the main event of Summerslam. 100%! TOTALLY! COMPLETELY! BY! HIM! SELF! So Seth is a double champion-

Jay Lethal
LETHAL DID IT!

Cena decided to make his rematch clause got cashed for Night of Champions. So we got double the Seth!

FAVORITES!

Cena: -400. I think the Internet has something for this… it goes like… L…O….L…. CENA WINS? It really makes the most sense for Cena to win. Lets get back to US Open Challenges!

UNDERDOGS!

Seth Rollins: +420. Cuz you gotta be HIGH to bet on Seth in this match!

PROP BETS O' THE MATCH!

Seth's Power Ranger Ring Gear: Black: -400. White: -250. Green: -100. Red: +350.
How ROH is Seth's moveset? "HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT!" -150. "THIS IS WRESTLING!" -340. "Chin lock City" +210.

WWEWHC

HOW WE GOT HERE!

When Rollins became double champion he was promised a Statue! SO? The Authority made him a statue and were totally gonna unveil it in the ring! Only? The statue was GONE! And replacing it? The Man Called Sting! (With 11% of his face paint sweated or rubbed off) – After some brawling. Sting was in the ring holding the WWE World Heavyweight championship. Trips, not one to pass up an opportunity (He said dripping with sarcasm) – Made the match. Sting vs. Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. We've gotten Sting's first Raw match. Where he made Seth tap out. Oh… and Sting destroyed the statue.

FAVORITES!

Seth Rollins Retains: -350. I can't see Seth losing the belt here. At least not to Sting. Maybe a no contest/DQ type deal. MAYBE they have Sheamus cash?

UNDERDOGS!

Sting Wins the Championship: +200. As much as he should have won at Mania, he SHOULD lose here. It'd set up Rollins vs. Triple H even better if Triple H failed to beat Sting, and Rollins succeeded. Sadly? That requires an attention to detail that it seems WWE Creative lacks.

PROP BETS O' THE MATCH!

Over/Under: 8 minutes till Sting's face paint is gone.
Which Match Goes on Last: Cena/Rollins -250. Sting/Rollins +100. Ryback/Owens +1400
Triple H's nose pokes into this bidness: Yes -100. No +200.

There we have it, Cheap-Heaters. Happy gambling, and we'll see you soon!

5. Well… It's the Big Show
The Big Show wrestled Cesaro in a rather enjoyable one-on-one. The only man to ever hold the WWE, WCW, and ECW world titles went hold-for-hold with the Swiss Superman until he was able to steal a victory with the "Knockout Punch ." Big Show appears to be focused as he gears up for his Madison Square Garden encounter with Brock Lesnar.

4. Sasha Banks is Nearly Undefeated
I can't recall how many times I've seen the former NXT Women's Champion lose since coming to the main roster. Sasha Banks continues her winning streak—aside from multiple person match-ups—in this tag team bout alongside fellow Team BAD member Naomi. Sasha isn't currently scheduled for this weekend's Night of Champions —could she be Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns' mystery partner?

3. It’s a New Day for Dudleyville
D'Von Dudley went to battle against Kofi Kingston on Smackdown as the Dudleyz prepare to wage war against the tag team champions this Sunday. Kofi took the fight to the TNA Hall of Famer , and proved his worth as a former-intercontinental champion, defeating the tag team competitor in singles' competition.

2. They’re Here – They’re ALWAYS Here
Tonight's main event pit Seth Rollins and Sheamus against Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns, in what would amount to a predictable WWE tag team match. Following the final bell however, the Wyatt Family appeared, with particular emphasis placed on the " New Face of Destruction " Braun Strowman.

1. Dolph Ziggler versus Kevin Owens
The match of the night featured intersecting storylines; Kevin Owens is focused on becoming the intercontinental champion this Sunday, while Dolph Ziggler looks to finalize his feud with Rusev. This was a highly-climactic back and forth bout that could have earned higher honors, had it not ended with an obligatory run-in and subsequent disqualification.

sting2 On September 20th at WWE Night of Champions, WWE Champion Seth Rollins will defend his World Heavyweight Championship against former WCW World Heavyweight Champ, “The Vigilante” Sting.

Man, that last sentence is really loaded with lots of variations of the word “champ” in it…

Some people love this. People thought Sting would never ever step foot in a WWE ring, and in 2015, he’s getting a shot at the top prize. Others are not as crazy about the idea. While the visual of Sting versus Rollins in a wrestling match may be a surreal one, some are arguing the logic behind the match is lacking, as the first and only time we’ve seen Sting in a WWE contest, it was in a losing effort to Triple H. Going into NOC, some would say Sting has zero momentum and has done nothing to earn the championship opportunity.

What do I think? I’m intrigued. Seth Rollins is being hailed as the next Shawn Michaels. He definitely has all the tools, and he’s definitely going to have to put them to use on September 20th in his most unique title defense yet. I like Sting, and it’s going to be fun to watch!

What?

Oh, you were expecting something different, based on the article title.

The ballВ wasВ dropped with Sting…

…in WCW.

That’s what we in the writing industry refer to as “click bait.”

Recently, thanks to the WWE Network, I began watching WCW Monday Nitro’s from 1998. Yes, even seventeen years later, I can’t get over how poorly the main event of Starrcade 1997, and the events that followed it, were executed.

The once boisterous and colorful Sting became silent and darker, carried a baseball bat and hung out in the rafters. Fans of World Championship Wrestling questioned his allegiance. Was Sting WCW, or was theВ black and white clad Stinger a member of the New World Order? Fans watched with bated breath over the course of fourteen months–В fourteen months– В as Sting began to systematically attack the nWo and proved that he bled WCW, and it culminated with Sting getting a shot at Hollywood Hulk Hogan’s WCW Championship at Starrcade 1997.

Fourteen months of build… can you remember the last angle in wresting that went on for fourteen months that kept fans interest? In the age of three minute YouTube videos and sit second Vines, it’s hard to imagine a storyline captivating a wrestling audience quite like Sting vs. The nWo did.

If you were a fan of wrestling in the late 1990’s, there’s a good chance you ordered Starrcade 1997 live on pay per view, which with a 1.9 buyrate (translating into around 500,000-600,000 total buys in 1997), it went on to become WCW’s largest PPV number of all time. And if you watched it live on pay per view, chances are you couldn’t help but feel like Sting/Hogan ended very anticlimactic.

See, the finish was supposed to be a fast three count by notoriously screwy ref and part time nWo employee Nick Patrick, following a Hulk Hogan leg drop. This was to lead to WCW’s newest acquisition, five time WWF Champion and WCW referee for the evening, Bret “Hitman” Hart coming down to ringside. Not wanting to see another screwjob like the one he experienced just one month prior in Montreal, Hart would knock out Patrick, restart the match, and call for the bell when Sting locked in his Scorpion Death Lock submission.

Almost all of that happened…

…except the most important part…

…the fast count.

When Hulk Hogan hit the leg drop, and Nick Patrick proceeded to count the most unbiased, fair, perfect paced three count in the history of wrestling. One Mississippi. Two Mississippi. Three. After fourteen months of build-up, Hollywood Hulk Hogan had seemingly retained the WCW Championship, fair and square.

For years, there has been a rumor that behind the scenes, Hulk Hogan paid off Nick Patrick. No, not in a pro wrestling storyline. I’m talking like, real money was actually exchanged from Hulk Hogan to Nick Patrick to count a well paced one, two and three on Sting. The reason I remember reading, and for the life of me, I can’t remember whwre I read it, was that Hogan didn’t believe that Sting deserved the championship because of his drug addiction at the time, and because he wasn’t in the shape he should have been for a guy that wrestled zero matches over the course of a year and a half.

In a 2010 interview with Nick Patrick, В he claims that he was simply confused, as several different people told him that the finish was supposed to go down different ways.

The night after Starrcade, WCW gave us the Sting/Hogan WCW Championship rematch, free on TV, live on Nitro. Shenanigans ensued, Nitro went off the air, and over the course of two weeks, it’s decided that because of the controversy surrounding the situation, Sting is stripped of the WCW Championship on the inaugural episode of WCW Thunder. Eventually, Sting would beat Hogan at SuperBrawl VIII in February of 1998, but the damage was already done. After waiting months for a hero to reclaim the WCW Championship from the hated nWo, Sting rose to the occasion, yet took the title under less than noble circumstances. Factor in that Sting’s eventual run with Big Gold was lasted barely two months (losing the belt to Macho Man in April, who lost it back to Hogan the very next day) and was forgettable, the whole build up to Starrcade went to waste.

Soon after, Sting decided to paint his face red and joined nWo Wolfpac… which I always found terrible and random. The guy that was the backbone of WCW decides to trust a new incarnation and join..? I didn’t buy into it.

Many people point to the defection of Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, Perry Saturn and Dean Malenko was the point where the hole in the WCW ship formed, but I believe that the leak began when WCW dropped the ball on Sting and their biggest money making angle of all time.

Rollins vs Sting– Night of Champions will have my money on Sunday.

5. The Ascension isn’t SOO Terrible Anymore

Click here to view the embedded video.

This week's episode of WWE Smackdown featured “Keeper of the Cosmic Key,” and his new starbound lackeys – the Ascension. The duo of Konnor and Viktor made quick work of their fellow NXT veterans, the same team that defeated them for their tag titles several months ago, the Lucha Dragons.

4. The Diva's Matches are Shorter than Ever

Click here to view the embedded video.

The WWE has been accused of short-changing its female competitors in terms of time allotted for competition. Now that the Diva's Revolution is underway, it would seem their matches are shorter than ever. After two underwhelming altercations on Monday Night Raw , Paige and Sasha Banks are bringing their rivalry to Smackdown. I wonder how long before this segment runs right off the rails.

3. Cesaro versus the Miz II

Click here to view the embedded video.

I gave a detailed description of my affinity for the Miz on this week's edition of "Highlight of the Night" on Daily Wrestling News, so I won't repeat myself now. I wasn't enthused with Cesaro and the Miz on Raw, although I'm a big fan of both individuals. Their match on Smackdown was much better, and set the trend for what's to come throughout the night.

2. Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns, and Roman's Awkward Cousin

Click here to view the embedded video.

Which Uso is that? Jimmy? It really doesn't matter. Either way—I hope the Shield doesn't call on any Uso to take part in their six-man tag at Night of Champions . An excellent match between some of the most talented members of the upper-mid card. The New Day is on fire and there doesn't seem to be any sense in putting them out just yet. From a workrate standpoint, this was most certainly the Match of the Night.

1. Seth Rollins versus Ryback in a Lumberjack Match

Click here to view the embedded video.

You're kidding me, right? Lumberjack matches are so few and far between, and yet both Smackdown AND Impact Wrestling featured them as their main event? That's insanity. I've never been a fan of the gimmick personally, but anything is possible with the right players at ringside. I also think it's really cool how Seth Rollins is feuding with three men at once—Sting, John Cena, and the intercontinental champion Ryback .

5. Charlotte's Web

Charlotte and Brie mix it up, and lobby for the quick tag from their individual corners. Neither woman is able to achieve assistance, especially when Nikki opted to attack Becky on the apron. Brie went for a finishing move of some sort, but Charlotte rolled her up in a "Bridging Schoolgirl" combination dubbed "Charlotte's Web."

4. Seth Responds to Sting

Click here to view the embedded video.

A very compelling promo from an individual who's hit-or-miss on occasion. Seth says that he's not afraid of "some freak that walks around with a baseball bat wearing face paint," and says that Sting should be afraid of him. Seth says that Triple H's only regret—in his ENTIRE career—was not finishing Sting once and for all at WrestleMania.

3. Kevin Owens vs. Adrian Neville

Click here to view the embedded video.

Great back and forth between the longest reigning NXT Champion, and the most dominant NXT Champion. Adrian Neville is able to go toe-to-toe with the much-larger Owens until the end of the match. The action hit the outside of the ring and Neville delivered a debilitating Super Kick. He tossed his opponent into the ring and attempted the "Red Arrow," but to no avail. Owens countered Neville's attempts into a Pop-up Powerbomb for a 1-2-3.

2. The Dudley Boyz Return to Smackdown!

The Dudley Boyz are back on WWE Smackdown for the very first time since 2005, set to compete with Konnor and Viktor of the Ascension. A fun match with much of what you might anticipate. The Ascension got the inevitable hope spot, but it wasn't long before the Dudleyz hit their signature maneuvers for a decisive first victory back in the WWE.

1. All in the Wyatt Family

Click here to view the embedded video.

The show kicks off with the Wyatt Family—now stronger than ever with the "Black Sheep" Braun Strowman by their side. Luke Harper starts the show by telling the audience how they've been blinded, and how their ears are clogged to the truth! The Wyatt's are soon met by their most consistent of adversaries—Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns. The Wyatt's backed away for the time being, but this wasn't the last time we'd see the new "Face of Fear," "Face of Desolation," nor "Face of Destruction." The Wyatt's returned later in the night to cost Dean Ambrose a victory over Sheamus. Following the match, Roman Reigns came to his friends rescue, but he was once again outmatched by the burling Braun Strowman.

What is with Tuesdays? I was at the restaurant today, like everyday, and today beat the daily total of Saturday which is our normal busiest day. I happened to have a former WWF Tag Team champion come in today, but I was so busy I didn’t get a chance to talk wrestling!!! Maybe next time right?

This weekend sure felt like a marathon. The more I thought about it though, the more I think the production crew of WWE is happy. They had the same arena for 3 nights in a row! That has got to be a lighter workload than normal. Season 1 of the Waltons is on while I queue up the DVR, this famous actress needed the Walton’s to help her put on a show so she can afford a train ticket to New York.. Enough chatting onto Monday Night Raw!!

Show Opening- В We start off in WWE Headquarters with HHH getting ready to present Seth Rollins with a statue in his honor. “Seth your not the future of WWE, you are the man”- HHH. We see statues of Bruno Sammartino, Ultimate Warrior, and Andre The Giant.

And I’m Like… wondering what the statue criteria is?

Show opens with its typical crappy song intro, I can’t wait until tonight is the night we change this song. We go over highlights of Summerslam, but not NXT!?!? and then

Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman-

And I’m Like… That was the main story going into tonight, having Brock just kick someones ass really cleanses the palate of what happened last night. I don’t know where the story is headed, it might be over who knows. That segment was fun though.

В

Lucha Dragons vs. New Day

And I’m Like… Surprised that the Prime Time Players were not as entertaining as the New Day. That’s how the tag division should be, put the straps on whoever is making the most entertainment with theВ allottedВ time. As I say that THE DUDLEY BOYZ come back!! That is pretty crazy, I don’t think they are needed as full-time tag regulars though, just saw all their signature moves, what more do we need? Tables? Just saw that too! These guys should go do that NXT Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic or whatever. It doesn’t matter, this shit was fun, the whole segment.

That Make-a-Wish video had me in tears.. Bayley/Sasha at Takeover tears… fucking Connor The Crusher tears. For real this shit is so cool. People suffer so much you know, they just go through shit all day. They eat a bowl of shit for breakfast and once it’s done it’s breakfast time. It’s amazing that WWE has the power to make children forget about breakfast and escape the hell that is the hospital, John Cena legit can not turn heel, those kids need him, they really do. They need a super-hero, cause some times, real life is not enough to get you by. Wrestling is great.

HHH and Stephanie- They are in the back looking at Seth’s statue, I wouldn’t comment on this but Seth said something important. “This place is just better with you running it” SEEDS PLANTED, where is ourВ 70 year old farmer ?

Summerslam Rematch: Wyatts vs. Shield

And I’m Like… If this doesn’t bring Sting into this feud or at least add a little flavor to this, it will get old fast. This was new fresh and exciting, I hope it doesn’t just happen for four weeks until another turn of events.

There will be a special with Brock in Madison Square Garden on the night of my baby shower!! Guess what I’ll try and make the family watch??!?

Miz TV- PCB

And I’m Like… If WWE wanted me to not like six women and like three more, they did a great job. What’s bad is that the six I don’t like were on the screen making me not like them more. I am a Charlotte fan when she is real, when she is nerdy and awkward, not when she tries to be cool. Charlotte is tall and lanky, Becky is weird and annoyingly bubbly, Paige is immature. Paige was trying to get Team Freakshow over before PCB stuck, and I’m starting to lean on her side with that name. That would have added a dynamic this 3 team feud needs. The hot bunch (Bella’s) The bad bunch (team B.A.D.) and instead of the “wrestlers? other hot bunch? what is PCB anyways?” they could have been the misfit bunch.В

As I was And I’m Liking the Miz TV segment a Six Diva Tag match started… The crowd was the fun part… They wanted SASHA they did want this match.. I didn’t want this match. What I had to say was said up above. Give us stories that we can relate to please. Team Bella won if you care! Alicia fox looked like she was in pain or mad f’d up…

It was supposed to be Stardust and Cosmic King Barrett teaming but Stardust beat up The Cosmic King. Neville came out and the ref bailed as the brawl started… Neville went for Red Arrow, Stardust ran away.

В

And I’m Like… WHAAAAT???

Jon Stewart Promo-

And I’m Like… I’m with Stewart, he helped the future. Rollins was right Cena IS a disease. You could tell from Flairs face he felt that the segment fell flat… Oh well, Jon Stewart is totally gonna be in the WWE Hall of Fame Celebrity wing.

В

Ziggler, Orton, Ryback, Cesaro vs. Owens, Sheamus, Big Show, Rusev

And I’m Like… The bad guys beat up Big Show, they left Sheamus. The good guys beat up Big Show, they left Sheamus. That’s funny. This meant nothing I’m sure, unless Owens and Rusev team up, they both beat on Show and looked damn good doing it!

Bray Wyatt is in his dark room cutting promos. When Bray rolls his eyes and says heart, his voice dragged and it sounded so eerie, I love his cadence. Bray introduces Braun Strowman the “Black Sheep of Sister Abigail”

The Authority is talking to John Cena about how he is a sore loser and that it is trending, then Security throws him out of the building.

Seth Rollins Statue Presentation-

And I’m Like… What the hell, that was very fun for me, with the craziness outside my house and on my television, Raw next week will be fun I hope!! Thank you for reading

Y’all have a good one.

What's this—another debut? Is this Cheap-Heat.com or the New Superstar Initiative? Don't click the back button just yet, because you're in the right place. My name is Mark Adam Haggerty and this is the debut edition of " Here Comes the Pain: Top 5 Moments from Smackdown." If you're a regular reader then you know I already do a " Top Five" for Raw and Impact, and figured the WWE's B-show deserved the same distinction. You can still read my in depth reviews with ratings over at Daily Wrestling News, but if you're after a quick look at the current state of Smackdown, this is the column for you.

5. Ryback Returns to Smackdown
Let's start things out with one of my least favorite wrestlers on the roster, making his return to a highly edited audience. The WWE Intercontinental Champion Ryback is in the house, and says that he's feeling better than ever. Not only that, but he says he's in a WWE ring—where he belongs. Ryback cuts a pretty awesome promo, complete with TitanTron examples of what his Staff Infection looked like. He said that he "Meat Hooked" the Staff Infection—and then he "Shell-Shocked" the Staff Infection. Just so he can get his "Big Guy Ass" to Portland. If only there was a market for muscular managers; I love it when the "Big Guy" talks, but I hate to see him wrestle.

4. Roman Reigns vs. Luke Harper
I don't really see the logic in putting Roman Reigns in direct competition with Luke Harper when the two are set to meet in tag team action at Summerslam. This match was everything you'd expect—two big guys staring each other down, with Harper doing the majority of heavy lifting for both individuals. Dean Ambrose and Bray Wyatt were both on hand, as they're each involved in the aforementioned tag match at Slam. Before things can really get going, Bray Wyatt attacks Roman Reigns and causes the disqualification in favor of Reigns. Dean gets in the ring and the four begin to brawl as we head into a commercial break.

3. Naomi vs. Charlotte
I very much enjoy a nice one-on-one Diva's match. The NXT Women's division didn't get to where it is with tag team bouts, or multi-woman matches, or via scandalous stipulations. Tonight Charlotte has the opportunity to tear things up with the leader of "Team B.A.D.," Naomi. Naomi was on the verge of being the best female wrestler on the main roster, and although the "Diva's Revolution" has cast a shadow over the already established talents, I'm confident Naomi will be able to meet the newfound demand. Where the hell did Cameron go? Charlotte gets the victory over Naomi with the dreaded “Figure 8” homage to the one and only “Nature Boy.”

2. Primetime Players vs. New Day
The Primetime Players have been in possession of the WWE World Tag titles longer than anyone could have expected. The always entertaining tandem of Titus O'Neill and Darren Young are as equally enjoyable in the ring as they are behind the broadcast desk. This week they're going two-on-two with Xavier Woods and Big E of the New Day. Kofi usually mixes it up inside the squared-circle, but this week the former Rastafarian Wrestler is happy to play manager and bring on the hype. An entirely enjoyable contest from start to finish with both teams gaining considerable offense throughout. The Primetime Players decided to tuck their tails and vacate, but the combined forces of Los Matadors and the Lucha Dragons kept them from running away. The Players singled out the smallest of New Day members—Xavier Woods—and Darren Young hit him with the " Gutcheck" for the victory.

Kevin Owens & Seth Rollins vs. Cesaro & Neville
Tonight's main event stems from the opening segment wherein Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins blindsided Cesaro and Neville. For any and all of you independent wrestling junkies who like to complain about John Cena and Randy Orton—this is the match for you. Two former ROH World Champions versus Pac and a former wrestling ICE CREAM CONE. I thoroughly enjoyed this match, and thought the finish was well-executed and appropriately timed. Cesaro drags the champion to the center of the ring with the Sharpshooter, but Kevin Owens is ready to break things up. Rollins gets the pin after a roll-up with a handful of tights, but this fight is far from over. Owens put the boots to Cesaro after the match, but the Swiss Superman wasn't beat for that. He overpowered the number one contender to Finn Balor's NXT Title, and slammed him within Adrian Neville's trajectory. Cesaro and Neville might have lost the battle, but the Red Arrow to Owens means this war will continue to wage.

Welcome back to another exclusive list here at Cheap-Heat.com! In the past I’ve covered title belts in terms of great champions, iconic names in the industry, longest reigning NWA champions, WWE champions, cool designs and so much more! But it struck me–I never did a countdown of the Top 13 Longest Reigning Champions in Ring of Honor History. This is a WHO’S WHO in the wrestling business, featuring some huge names and a couple of surprises that you probably didn’t see coming. Ready? Let’s get to it!

2. Eddie Edwards
13. Eddie Edwards
Days as Champion: 99
Number of Reigns: 1

Coming in at number thirteen is one half of the American Wolves—Eddie Edwards. Edwards just missed the hundred day mark with 99 days as champion, and successfully defended his title a total of 3 times during his 3-month run. He won the championship on March 19, 2011 in New York City when he defeated the current number one contender to the ROH title, Roderick Strong. The end came for Edwards and his reign as champion on June 26, 2011 when he was unseated by his now-tag team partner, Davey Richards.

3. Xavier
12. Xavier
Days as Champion: 182
Number of Reigns: 1

The name Xavier might not resonate with many casual fans, but Ring of Honor historians know him as the second man to hold the coveted ROH World title. Xavier defeated Low Ki on September 21, 2002 and held onto the championship through four title defenses. It was the fifth however, that cost Xavier the strap, when he dropped it to Samoa Joe on March 22, 2003.

4. Roderick Strong
11. Roderick Strong
Days as Champion: 189
Number of Reigns: 1

He is the current number one contender to Jay Lethal's Ring of Honor championship, and should he be successful in his upcoming effort, Roderick Strong will be just one of three men to hold the title twice. Roddy—as his friends and fans call him—won the ROH World Championship on September 11, 2010 in New York City from the current WWE Champion, Seth Rollins AKA Tyler Black. Roderick maintained his championship for over six months with five successful title defenses to his credit. He was finally defeated on March 19, 2011 by the first "American Wolf" to hold the title, Eddie Edwards.

5. Tyler Black
10. Tyler Black
Days as Champion: 210
Number of Reigns: 1

He is the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion and in just three weeks will head into battle against the "Beast" Brock Lesnar. But once upon a time, Seth Rollins was known as Tyler Black—the tenth longest reigning ROH World Champion in history. Black defeated seven challengers during his time as champion, after first conquering the 2-time ROH Champion Austin Aries. Black held the title for the better part of seven months, and finally dropped the title to Roderick Strong on September 11, 2010 in New York.

6. Takeshi Morishima
9. Takeshi Morishima
Days as Champion: 231
Number of Reigns: 1

The only man on our countdown from the "Land of the Rising Sun" is the one and only Takeshi Morishima. Morishima's size and speed made him a formidable force when mixing it up with the smaller-statured American Indy workers, and on February 17, 2007, he defeated Homicide for the coveted ROH championship. Morishima's title defense record blows the previous numbers out of the water by nearly tripling Tyler Black's defense record with a total of 20 vanquished challengers. Morishima's unprecedented 231-days as champion came to a close on October 6, 2007 when Nigel McGuinness took the gold, and held it for nearly 2 years.

7. Adam Cole
8. Adam Cole
Days as Champion: 275
Number of Reigns: 1

If you started watching Ring of Honor when they began airing their pay-per-views on traditional cable systems, then Adam Cole might very well have been champion when you became a fan! Adam Cole is currently the leader of the Kingdom, and is the eighth longest-reigning ROH champion ever. Adam Cole won his first world title on September 20, 2013 when he defeated Michael Elgin in the tournament finals at Death Before Dishonor. He went on to carry the belt with him for an astounding 275 days and thirteen successful title defenses, until he was ultimately defeated by the man he bested in September, "Unbreakable" Michael Elgin.

8. Davey Richards
7. Davey Richards
Days as Champion: 321
Number of Reigns: 1

Joining his tag team partner is the other half of the American Wolves, Davey Richards. Richards didn't beat just anyone either, but his beloved friend and confidant Eddie Edwards. That's right, the two men who are currently competing with the Dirty Heels to decide the undisputed TNA Tag Team Championship are both former ROH World Title holders. Richards won the belt on June 26, 2011 and managed to retain his title for just shy of eleven months. During his run, Richards beat ten challengers, but finally succumbed to the eleventh on May 12, 2012. The man who beat him is the current reigning NXT Champion, Kevin Owens AKA Kevin Steen.

9. Kevin Steen
6. Kevin Steen
Days as Champion: 328
Number of Reigns: 1

From Davey Richards to Kevin Steen, the next few names are actually listed in chronological order. Kevin Steen outdid Richards' reign by one week, and an additional 8 title defenses. With 18 challengers sent packing, Kevin Steen was among the most active world champions up to that time, with but a few noteworthy exceptions. Kevin Steen eventually dropped his title to Jay Briscoe on April 5, 2013 at Supercard of Honor VII in New York City.

10. Jay Briscoe
5. Jay Briscoe
Days as Champion: 375
Number of Reigns: 2

And from Kevin Steen to Jay Briscoe! Jay Briscoe beat Kevin Steen after the formers 328-day reign as champion, but Briscoe would eventually outdo Steen over the course of TWO title runs. Only two men have ever held the Ring of Honor Championship twice; combining his first 89 days as champion with his other 286, Jay Briscoe ranks toward the top with 375 days. His first reign was cut short due to "injury," and the title was vacated and put up for grabs in a championship tournament won by Adam Cole. He then won the championship again from Michael Elgin, and carried it for nine months until recently losing it to Jay Lethal at Best in the World.

11. Austin Aries
4. Austin Aries
Days as Champion: 419
Number of Reigns: 2

The only other man besides Jay Briscoe to hold the ROH Championship twice is the guy that likes to go by "The Greatest Man Who Ever Lived." Austin Aries first won the championship on December 26, 2004 when he defeated the longest reigning ROH Champion in history, but more on that in a few moments. His first reign lasted for 174 days, and consisted of sixteen successful title defenses. He was eventually bested by CM Punk, but regained his title on June 13, 2009 when he knocked off veteran journeyman Jerry Lynn. His second reign lasted even longer—a total of 245 days—and included an additional 13 successful defenses. Aries second championship reign came to an end on February 13, 2010 when he was beaten by the man who would one day be known as Seth Rollins—Tyler Black.

12. Bryan Danielson
3. Bryan Danielson
Days as Champion: 462
Number of Reigns: 1

Everyone's favorite underdog wasn't always so cute and cuddly, in fact he was one of the most vicious wrestlers to ever work inside a ROH ring. Bryan Danielson, more commonly known as Daniel Bryan, won the ROH Championship on September 17, 2005 when he defeated another WWE fixture, Jamie Noble AKA James Gibson. Danielson made a name for himself by setting the record for the most successful title defenses at 38, during which time he bested some of the greatest wrestlers on the planet. Danielson carried the ROH strap for 462 days—just over five months—until finally losing to Homicide at Final Battle 2006.

13. Nigel McGuinness
2. Nigel McGuinness
Days as Champion: 545
Number of Reigns: 1

Nigel McGuinness is the current ROH Matchmaker, and with 18+ months as world champion under his belt, is a shoe-in for any future ROH Hall of Fame. Nigel initially won the championship from the monstrous Takeshi Morishima on October 6, 2007 and went on to tie Bryan Danielson's defensive record at 38. Nigel McGuinness was one of the most prolific title holders in company history, as his reign spanned three calendar years from the tail end of 2007 to the spring of 2009. Nigel was the kind of despicable heel champion that could have only been beaten by a returning legend, and on April 3 rd , 2009, Nigel McGuinness lost the championship to Jerry Lynn.

14. Samoa Joe
1. Samoa Joe
Days as Champion: 645
Number of Reigns: 1

Samoa Joe made his WWE debut in 2015 at the age of 36. For many casual "Universe" fans, this was the first time they were afforded the chance to see Joe in action. Sure some of them got to know the "Samoan Submission Machine" thanks to his work in TNA, but not many fans are aware of what an important role Joe played in establishing Ring of Honor as a viable promotion. Samoa Joe is the longest reigning Ring of Honor Champion in history, and unlike Jay Briscoe and Austin Aries, his numbers are the result of a single run with the title. Joe debuted for Ring of Honor not long after the company debuted, and on March 22, 2003, defeated Xavier to become just the third man to hold the gold. During his 21 and a half months as champion, Joe defeated 22 challengers including some of the best and brightest from every corner of the globe. Joe was finally defeated the night after Christmas 2004 at Final Battle, by another fruitful champion and future ex-member of the TNA roster, Austin Aries. With 645 days as champion to his name, it's not hard to see why Samoa Joe's return to ROH this year was heralded as such a momentous occasion.
