It’s Day Two for the Good, the Bad and the Vague’s week-long analysis of WWE Week on the USA Network. Tonight is WWE Super Smackdown Live and what a show it was!
The Good
There were a lot of good storylines on this show. Jey Uso and Naomi’s program with the Miz has been entertaining thus far. The Miz has been given a lot of material and seems to be shining. The storyline is everything Tyson Kidd and Natalya isn’t. This wasn’t something from Total Divas but something derived on the main roster.
I’m looking forward to the program between Ryback and Rusev. Part of me hopes Ryback might win the US Title on Tribute to the Troops tomorrow night but it’s highly unlikely.
Pushing the Intercontinental Champion as a main eventer is slowly helping to grow the title in prestige once again. Dolph Ziggler has been on top the world. First he becomes the sole survivor at Survivor Series, then he wins an incredible ladder match to reclaim his title, and now he has a win over Seth Rollins.
The Bad
There were some problems. It was wonderful that they made the show live for their 800th episode, but huge opportunities were missed. No Cena, no Lesnar, no Heyman. There was such opportunity, but it was still a good show.
Not sure why they featured Kane versus Adam Rose again, but nothing they do with Rose and The Bunny will surprise me at this point.
The Vague
There wasn’t enough build up for the Divas title. Had Naomi beat Nikki or Brie one on one I’d have been on board. Overall the title match didn’t interest me one bit.
Overall a great episode of Smackdown without much to argue with or complain about. That’s it for Night Two of WWE Week on the USA Network! I’ll be back next time for another edition of The Good, the Bad and the Vague only on Cheap-Heat.com!
