DUCK! Or JUMP! Whichever… Hasn't been long since the Guru of Gambling on Grappling last GRACED (Who doesn't love some alliteration?) – Cheap-Heat. A belated apologies for not giving you the knowledge to clean up "Vegas Style" for WWE's Payback. But worst case scenario? Bet doubly as hard for Elimination Chamber!
Elimination Chamber a Pay Per View that was "retired" less than a year ago, (Damn even Wrestling Pay Per Views that retire' don't stay retired… talk about living the cliche!) – was ANNOUNCED a few weeks ago, and will take place two weeks after WWE's Payback, and will be a WWE Network Exclusive. Short notice and abbreviated booking aside, I'm looking forward to the card. There are great matches. They switched up who will step foot into the brutal structure. Normally reserved for the companies biggest titles, it will be utilized in a six team Tag Team Championship Match (Get ready to get cosy in those pods, fellas) , and the vacated Inter Continental Championship will be decided inside the Chamber. (Great… so whoever wins it will come out injured. Where have we heard THAT before?)
But enough set up and babbling. There are matches to handicapped. Prop Bets to weigh in on. So? Lets GO!
OVERVIEW!
The two former NXT Champions crossed paths and Bo Dallas attacked. With the long story being Bo was still bitter over Neville winning the NXT Championship match from him all those months ago. Neville is a star on the rise since being called up to the main roster. Bo hasn't had much success. Between it seeming that creative was lukewarm on him and an injury sidelining him, this might be his highest profile match in the WWE.
Favorite!
Neville: -600. Neville has the momentum and has the good faith of the decision makers. He's had a nice run so far, and while its sputtered a bit as of late? I was sure he was going to end up in the IC Title hunt, especially since its a 6 man match… He can come out of this with a nice Pay Per View win, and more momentum moving forward. There is definitely a feud with Sheamus in his not too distant future. I BO-LIEVE (Yeah I did) Neville is the safe bet.
Underdog!
Bo Dallas: +200. It wouldn't be a jaw dropping shocker if Bo squeaked a win. He'd get crazy mileage out of it, for sure, and they'd no doubt have another match on Pay Per View in a few weeks. I get the feeling they are more "Pro Neville" than "Pro Bo".
Bo KNOWS… Betting on Neville to win.
Prop Bet O' The Match!
Over/Under Victory Laps Bo Dallas Takes 3.5 (cumulative laps around the ring)
OVERVIEW!
Nikki Bella has been running roughshod over the Diva's Division for a while now. I get the feeling they're going to want Nikki to go over AJ Lee's "Longest Diva Championship Reign". Will she come out of Elimination Champion… #ANDSTILL?! Naomi has had her sights set on the Divas' Championship since she turned to the Dark Side and enlisted the help of the returning Tamina Snuka. They were in the process of beating down Nikki when the incumbent #1 Contender was shelved due to injury (Or… ya know filming a Christmas movie) from a Naomi attack. Only? In a rare bit of WWE continuity? Paige remember that Nikki Bella was tormenting her a few short months ago. So? Paige RamPAIGED Nikki, and we got ourselves a three way dance!
Favorite!
Nikki Bella: -200. Everyone is on a Naomi win here. I don't see it. Nikki Bella remains champion until Summerslam at the earliest.
Underdog(s)!
Paige and Naomi: +200. A match where I could see all three combatants walking out the Diva's Champion. Still I don't see Nikki Bella losing this Sunday. Not sure why everyone is thinking Naomi is going to be the one to unseat the Bella. At least, not yet.
Prop Bet O' The Match!
Is this in FACT Paige's House?: Yes -200. No. +150. Only renting it till Sasha gets there – 400.
OVERVIEW!
The New Day won the Tag Team Championships off of Kidd and Cesaro in a bit of a surprise. Since then? They've been one of the most consistently great parts of WWE programming. They retained the tag titles at Payback when Xavier Woods, who wasn't a participant, swapped in for Kofi and made a cover. The ref had a terrible viewing angle and counted three. So the next night with Elimination Chamber in 2 short weeks, it was announced that the Tag Titles would be defended for the first time in an Elimination Chamber. Of course Cesaro and Kidd get another crack at it, and they've added Los Matadores, Lucha Dragons, Prime Time Players, and the Ascension. This match will be awesome. Chaos and double team moves galore. This match could easily steal the show.
Favorite(s)!
The New Day: -200. Not the time for them to lose. Let them continue to work miracles to retain the titles. Whoever is on the outside could help out… somehow. I believe in the power of positivity and believe in The New Day!
Kidd and Cesaro: -100. If New Day DOES lose? It'll be at the hands of these two. Who have been working to get the Championships back. They're crazy over, and have a spectacular moveset. There is rumor of splitting Kidd and Cesaro and giving them singles pushes, but I'd really like to see one more title reign, and THEN build into the dissension/feud that costs them the tag titles.
Underdog(s)!
Lucha Dragons: +200. MAYBE the Tag Team Championships find their way into the Lucha Dragons claws (get it? Cuz they're DRAGONS!) – There is definitely a tag reign in their not too distant future, but its a little early in my opinion for this to go down. But what crazy flipping spinning awesome-ocity will Kalisto bring to the Chamber?
Prime Time Players: +300. They've been doing awesome vignettes and backstage segments. They've been on a roll since reuniting, BUT? They really aren't having many matches yet on Raw and Smackdown. They're just getting back into the swing of things. Like Lucha Dragons… maybe sometime later in 2015, but not now!
Ascension/Matadores: Off the Board. No… Chance… In…HELL!
Prop Bets O' The Match!
Over Under Cesaro's Consecutive Corner Uppercuts: 6.5
MVP of the Match: Cesaro -430. Kalisto: -250. Kofi: -100.
How Many involved in a tower of Doom Spot: 5: -400. 6: -250. 7: -100. 4: +100. 12: +20000
OVERVIEW!
Back at Wrestlemania Daniel Bryan won the Inter Continental Championship in a Ladder Match. BUT?! He reaggravated an injury and just as we got our hopes up for a lengthy Daniel Bryan title reign, he had to give up the championship belt and step aside (Does this sound familiar?) – So now? We go from one dangerous IC Title Match to another one. Here's hoping the person that comes out with the Championship, is healthy enough to defend it for a few months. The entries in the match are: Dolph Ziggler, R-Truth, Sheamus, King Barrett, Ryback, and Rusev. Question marks about the last two combatants there as Ryback is nursing injured ribs, and Rusev could have an injured foot/ankle. There might be last minute changes made to this, but it doesn't impact who the two favorites are.
Favorite(s)!
Sheamus: -400. Sheamus has been on a warpath and has cultivated an AWESOME persona since his return. I could see a nice win for him here, and then moving into a feud with Neville.
Dolph Ziggler: -200. The other candidate for this win. Basically him winning would be to setup Sheamus taking the Championship from him.
Underdog(s)!
King Barrett: +200. He just won King of the Ring. He's still losing more than he's winning. Not sure this is what you do with the King.
Rusev: +350. IF he's healthy and in the match. Maybe they put the Intercontinental Championship on Rusev, and then you have Ziggler chase. Either way I see a Ziggler/Rusev feud coming out of this one.
Ryback: +600. C'mon.
R-Truth: +… like… eleventy Billion… I mean… Really… C'MON!
Prop Bets O' The Match!
Does Rusev Fight? Yes: -100. No +200.
Does Lana Cost Rusev? No: -200. Yes: +100.
Is there an IC Title Curse? Yes -400. No. +250.
OVERVIEW!
The Raw after Payback, John Cena had his increasingly awesome "US Championship Open Challenge", and out came Kevin Owens. Owens, though… was NOT interested in Cena's "prize", he had one of his own. But he WAS interested in whuppin' up on Cena. So? He did. A Pop Up Powerbomb later and dismissively stomping on the United States Championship? We have ourselves an incredibly intriguing match up. Owens has been handled incredibly well since making his debut in NXT. Now he's about to fight for the first time on WWE Pay Per View in a semi Main Event against the face of the company. That's… Impressive!
Favorite!
John Cena: -250. As much as my heart would like to put Owens in the Favorite position? Can't do it. It'll be an amazing debut for Kevin Owens. Maybe Cena wins by count out or DQ, but I can't see the powers that be giving Kevin Owens THAT Much rub. The match and a dominating performance is a great start for him.
Underdog!
Kevin Owens: +150. Makes sense for him to win. If you want to make a huge star? This is the first step. I'm so interested to see how the Elimination Chamber crowd treats Owens. Cena's promo about the fans chanting "Fight Owens Fight" was well done and a great seed to plant so that we don't hear "LETS GO CENA/CENA SUCKS". With the right crowd the match atmosphere could be amazing. This is the match I'm most looking forward to at Elimination Chamber.
Prop Bets O' The Match!
Over/Under Attitude Adjustments: 2.5
Over/Under Apron Powerbombs: 1.5
Kevin Owens 5 Knuckle Shuffle? Yes -200. No +250.
Owen's stoked kid runs interference? No -400. Yes +11000
OVERVIEW!
A year ago Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins were having a helluva feud after Rollins turned on the Shield. They were Main Eventing shows while WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Brock Lesnar was…ummm… doing Brock Lesnar stuff. Now? Rollins is the champion, and Dean Ambrose is fixing to take that Championship. Last month in a very good fatal fourway, Seth retained. The next night Ambrose came out and held Rollins hostage to get a one on one championship opportunity. The Authority agreed, and while last week they attempted to thwart Ambrose… and the WWE went the full "Stone Cold" with Ambrose trying to keep him from signing a contract by setting him up so he got arrested… (yeah.. this was NOT their best story telling) STILL… The match itself will be great. Ambrose has been getting amazing Crowd reactions, and Seth Rollins is the best heel in the bidness! Match should be amazing. These two have incredible chemistry.
Favorite!
Seth Rollins: -400. Not Ambrose's time. I'd have Ambrose chase either by winning Money in the Bank, or even better… build him and having him chase until he wins the Royal Rumble. Do a Rumble right. Hell have Reigns win Money in the Bank and you could main event Mania with the Shield. either way? Seth is holding onto this bad boy for a while longer.
Underdog!
Dean Ambrose: +400. Faces chase. Its better that way. They're setting this title run up wonderfully. Let Ambrose loose by hook and, or crook here. Then busy him elsewhere.
Prop Bets O' the Match!
Curb Stomp? No: -400. Yes: +900
Over/Under Authority Members involved: 4.5.
Seth Retains by? Pinfall: -400. DQ: -200. Count out: +200. Submission: +1100.
There we have it. Currently a six match card, which MAYBE could have a match added, but with two Elimination Chamber matches there really isn't much need for it. Those will both push twenty minutes. The Main Event and Cena/Owens should get ample time too. Enjoy the wrestling and happy betting!
