Some of us attain greatness, other have greatness thrust upon us… And the rest of us are force fed the opinion someone who is “blah” is actually the definition of greatness. So here is my list ove the top 5 overrated personalities of WWE… Cause some don’t even qualify as talent!
#5: David Otunga
Ok so I will give him points for body building… None for talent.В Maybe a half point for being married to talent but since she is in no way related to this industry, I take the point that.В I know people rant on part timers like Rock and Brock but they earned their spot and bring additional viewership.
This leech has never really earned his place yet maintains his spot while guys like Evan Bourne, Mason Ryan, and Drew McIntyre go back to the indies. В This guy isn’t only underrated but has made such little impact that he barely even qualifies to be on this list, so he gets our lowest spot. It is only fair after all !
#4: Rusev
I wouldn’t say the Bulgarian Brute doesn’t have the tools to impress and many are impressed. All I see is a fat guy who can move and Wyatt move better.
I think in time this guy could be a Vader but I don’t see it yet. I don’t think he deserves the victories he has had over the big names or the winning streak.В Right now all I see is a chunky big man and since Vinny likes his men big, thats who we get force fed. Hopefully Rusev makes me change my mind and some of what he does impresses, but right now he seems over hyped like Snitsky and Hiedenriech. Pushed simply for his size and that makes him overrated.
#3: Tyler Breeze
Ok you are a vanity gimmick. You take selfies I get it. Now I am not saying he isn’t talented or a decent worker.В But he isnt that impressive to me as either… And certainly not intimidating.В Sometimes when I see Tyler Breeze wrestle I think it is tremendously unfair for a man to wrestle a Diva… Then I remeber its not a Diva its just Tyler Breeze.
Maybe just maybe if he would get a real finisher instead of a wheel kick, a move even 6,000 pound Viscera could pull off, then maybe the kid could intimidate someone. Not me or anyone on nXt but someone. So until this kid fills out all his hype falls on my overrated list.
#2: The Miz
Reality TV star, movie star, WWE champion.В This man is in good shape, not a bad technical worker, and pulls off a good classic ego driven heel.
Still after years of exposure I still feel like he is not only vinilla, but he is vinilla ice cream that had been open and in the freezer too long.В He is old freezee burned vinilla with ice crystals covering the top of your ice cream. В Sure you can scoop the top off but you’ll still be stuck with less than fresh vinilla. THROW IT OUT!!!В He has always been given too much credit and exposure for the “meh” he offers.
I don’t mark out and hate him cause he motivates emotion as a heel. He just bores me and makes me wish I could flip the channel and watch WCW Nitro while his segments run.
Guys like Cesaro and Ziggler have the fan approval and change the game when they play, give them the spot or even Zack Ryder for goodness sake. Somebody with real talent and stop pushing this vinilla on me. I want to have fun Vince and Kevin Owens is fun, Cesaro, Ziggler, even Rowan the least exciting of the old Wyatt clan interest me more thab this one word one trick ponny show of a failed reality star on me.В I mean we all get critical and I bad mouthed Cena for years and now he has earned my respect… But Miz is still jus Awwwwwwweful!
#1: Vince McMahon
When you make a list of best promoters, Vince is automatically on the top.В I dare say if you had a worst list, Vinny would yop that also.В While WWE has had many brilliant ideas, many of the best like The Shield, Money in the Bank or Elimination Chamber were never his in the first place.В I.E. CM Punk for Shield, Jericho for MITB and Bischoff for the Chamber.
But who gave us Brawl for All, Katie Vick, Gene Snitsky “Not my Fault”, Gobbeldy Gooker at Survivor Series, May Youngs illegitimate hand, Spirit Squad, and the XFL?
If a promoter gets all the Credit for what goes on air then he also gets the blame.
So while we all have to respect what he has done for our sport, many of us resent much of what he has done TO our sport.
So I will leave you with this question, does Vince McMahons success have as much to do with himself as it does the lack of competition and the good luck abd influence of those around him. Food for thought.
