Top Ten Moves of Roman Reigns (Is it enough against The Beast?)

Top Ten Moves of Roman Reigns (Is it enough against The Beast?)

So it has happened, the two move superman has evolved and now has ten moves which is filling out his arsenal. But will it be enough to dethrone the undisputed unstoppable beast known as Brock Lesnar.

The Rock vs Cena was a year in the making, and now Reigns vs Lesnar is a year of speculation and now official.

So this proves WWE is more predictable than unpredictable these days, but through the criticism it still grows, and I still find it highly entertaining.

Yes I am guilty of having harsh opinions of WWE and their decisions, but it is my right to have and voice that opinion.

But in the end I support WWE as a whole and love the product and the legacy. Therefore I am also a very vocal supporter of WWE Network and nXt.
All of which leads to this statement: Wrestlemania 31 is set to be an exciting and memorable event, and through all the negetive feedback and IWC rumblings I hold very excited about the main event, and even more so inlight of backstage controversy and rumors.

Reigns has been handpicked to face Lesnar since WM30, and now he gets his shot.
If any of us had the chance, we would run with it too. So let us look at the weapons Reigns has developed to face the Undisputed WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania 31!

10: Belly To Back Suplex Slam
A very similar move to Cena’s Belly to Back powerbomb, but with a smoother angle in execution.

In fact I will say I have always been vocal about Cena and his awkward execution, but his superhuman strength and charisma has made him one of the greatest WWE Stars ever.

Reigns has a lot to learn but his execution is already smoother and more natural. So when he lifts his opponent in the air via Belly to Back suplex, it appears to require zero effort for him to turn and catch the falling opponent in what is almost a spear like one handed slam to polish off this move. One of many signature moves my close friend ChrisifiX of the PWI top 500 list had mastered, that has found its way on to WWE TV.
But that is a side effect of this sport and I do enjoy the intensity that Roman brings to this and every move he hits.

9: Repeat Clotheslines To Corner
A new addition, as Roman is known for a running clothesline in the corner, he has now evloved it an replaced the typical ten count punches in the corner, with clean aggressive shoot style lines in a repeating attack to his trapped opponent. A very good fit for Roman and a refreshing variation on a traditional corner attack.

8: Flying Clothesline
For a while it seemed his signature until thr unveiling of the Superman Punch. Roman leaps into the air after a running start and hits a flying clothesline that has taken pretty well all opponents off their feet.

This move has height, intensity, and impact. Few flying clothesline lokk as effortless while delivering such forcer.

7: Avalanche Powerbomb
Many of us desired to see Roman hit a powerbomb since he has the height and power, and that he was the key factor in the Shields triple powerbomb.

Instead we get a beautiful high impact powerbomb from the second rope.
While I don’t expect this to be an everyday weapon, knowing under the right circumstance Roman has this deadly tool is an exciting prospect for fans, and a welcome addition if 2k is paying attention for 2k16!

6: Rolling Reverse T-Bone Suplex
I will be the first to admit the maiden voyage or debut of these reverse t-bone suplexes strung together was a little bit awkward in execution.

However the addition, innovation, and sheer power required make it a welcome addition.

In fact the very idea of Reigns trying this on Lesnar is worth the $9.99 for WM31 on the WWE network!

5: The Samoan Drop
A move almost expected of him due to his lineage, and one he does with flawless execution. This move is a great way for him to display raw power, and can be used from almost any position or reversal.

A smart addition and most exciting when he pops the opponent in the air before catching them in the devestation samoan favorite.

4: Tilt-a-whirl Slam
I have already modified my 2k15 Roman to have this move as a standing signature in addition to his superman punch. Roman hits this move in a way almost identical to Billy Gunn.

The way he effortlessly lifts, tilts, and slams his opposition is remarkable.
In fact if Lesnar gets cauggt in this move, it could be the first sign that WWE has developed a home grown beast slayer.

3: Running Apron Dropkick
This mive had fans marking out from day one, and the way he uses it in multiple opponent battles is innovative and exciting. I also appreciate the fact that this move is not married to a particular set up move.

A signature mive that displays his innivation and agility taking him from a running start on the floor to a flying dropkick to the stunned opponent drapped on the bottom rope is a fan pleaser for sure!

2: Superman Punch
Again fans fell in love with the move, and the set-up fist cocking introduced almost immedeatly afterwards.

I do not think Roman has yet scratched the surface of this move and the millions of set-ups and variations that lay ahead. Although I do believe he has mastered the move and it will be as synnonomous with him as the DDT is to Jake Roberts or the Super Kick is to HBK.

1: The Spear
I admire Edge, and I love the Gore, but I have always been (and you can really tell when you see my spear) that I am a Goldberg man. I always felt his was the best, most powerful, end all spear.

Roman may infact change my mind. His speed, velocity, height, and impact has already landed him unforgettable victories with this move.

The flying spear off the ramp to show was beautiful to see. Now we all watch in anticipation to see if the Spear will be able to slay the beast.

A few of Romans spears like the one from Fastlane to Bryan seem a few seconds too predictable, others you never see coming.

So the question is, will Romans Spear give him a victory as it assisted Goldberg in his Wrestlemania moment over Brock? Or will Lesnar shake off the Spear and sit up laughing as he did to Cena’s AA at Summerslam.

Only time will tell, but I for one am looking forward to the answers. Good luck Roman Reigns cause even with these ten blockbuster moves, you are facing a battle hardened over the top proven Brock Lesnar who seems unhappy in contract negitiations… so your gonna need all the luck you can get. Maybe a few prayers too!

So what do you think about Roman’s top ten moves, do you think it will be enough to stop the Beast Incarnate? Comment and let your voice be heard!
