There are moves in wrestling that have been out of the game for years.В Sure they pop up now and again on the indies, but what I am talking is mainstream recognition.
So here are ten devastating moves we want brought back, and the WWE superstars I see as most fitting to bring them back.
#10: The Claw- Erick Rowan
The claw looks silly until you let someone who knows what they are doing, put it on you.В The pain of three pressure points getting crushed towards your skull can bring on blinding pain.
This is why one hand is so hard to move off your face, cause pressure points effect your brain directly!
So who would be creepier bringing back this classic than the Sheep Masked wearing big red?В Rowan needs an “it” move and the claw is perfect for the ex-Wyatt monster.
#9: Torture Rack- Ryback
He has power, and devesrating moves already. But all multidimensional superstars need a submission.В Just like Luger Ryback can use the turnbuckle to get the biggest up.В Honestly I think Ryback can Rack anyone in the game today. RYBACKRACK!!!
I know it is too perfect, and The Big Guy could be the first to Rack two cruiserweights at once.

#8: Jackknife Powebomb- Roman Reigns
Spear! Spear! Spear!В Awesome and Reigns has a better spear than Edge already.В But it could get old if he doesn’t mix it up some.
So why not do tge Sid Vicious/Kevin Nash style Jackknife Powerbomb?
Triple Powerbomb of the Shield has Roman already associated with this move, he has the height ans power, and the move is exciting.
For years Batista and even Cena drops to his butt to bomb.
Nay! Roman should hoist em up and let them free all to the finish! BELIEVE THAT!!!
#7: Death Valley Driver- Connor
Isn’t the FU or AA by Cena a DVD? Sorry but I gotta D-Bry this one; NO! NO! NO!В I have grown to respect Cena so I won’t bash him in this article, but let us call a glorified bodyslam what it is. From firenans carry to bodyslam.В Sure the move has power and impact, I dare say it is exciting.
But it is no DVD.В A Death Valley Driver is what Saturn did.В Oh yeah I know cause I won belts with this move myself.В And while the setup is the same, in that we lift the opponent in a firemans carry, we end it by driving our opponent down in a sharp brainbuster.
So look up top twenty death valley drivers and learn the difference.
So now who could give it to the execution it deserves.
How bout my one time (only one time) former tag team partner Konnor of the Ascension?
Thats right, my massive friend has the size power and skill to bring this move back for the Universe Era!
#6: Death Grip- Viktor
The Fall of Man is not my favorite tag team move. Hopefully they will get a couple more so they can move on as the next legendary tag team.
However they each need their own finisher for solo warfare.В With Konnor taking the DVD in this list, I say Viktor has the ability for many great moves, but he has the attitude and persona to take Meng’s Tongan Death Grip, and give it new meaning.
The Deathgrip is modified legal chokehold, and with an STO sweep used by Viktor on occassion combined with this Death Grip and countless victims will start counting sheep.
#5: Rikishi Driver- Jimmy & Jey Uso
Yep, they took every other move Daddy used plus a few high flying moves daddy couldn’t.В Still they don’t use his modified over the shoulder sitout piledriver.В Maybe only do it at PPVs if you are worried about it being dangerous, but it is a cool move and if your gonna do Dads best hits, for goodness sake don’t leave out his very best!
#4: Harlem Hangover- Tyson Kid
Booker T ascended thd top rope and did a rolling legdrop.В Part 450 and part leg drop this move always impressed. So while Tyson Kidd has a phenominal set of moves, he is a high flyer with no memorable high flying finishers. Yes his Blockbuster is good, I even like his flying elbow. But it lacks the Finisher Factor.
So take the more than capable Kidd and this now retired daredevil move would push him over the top!
#3: Crippler Crossface- Seth Rollins
We all know Benoits legacy is tainted forever, sadly some people can not seperate his ring legacy with his life and death tragedy.В Where does that leave the coolest armlock face ripping submission?В Used by Triple H at mania is a good start but this move deserves regular attention.
Since Rollins is Triple Hs pet, and all good Superstars need a submission, why not let the Arcitect steal this submission?
That would make an exciting match up when Crossface and Yes Lock go head to head.В And when Rollins goes face his high flying combined with this armtrap crossface would make him super over when he transitions to babyface.
Of course if he remains heel the excitement and viciousness of this hold will only grow when Rollins puts his own inevitable innovative spin on it!
#2: Screwdriver Suplex- Cesaro
Take your opponent in a stalling verticle suplex, twist the opponent midair, stall some more, then drop the opponent and catch him in a sitout tombstone piledriver!В Crazy right, and I havent seen it since Steiner imposed his will on helpless opponents.
While Ryback would also be a good match for this move, The King of Swing has flawless execution. В If you want them to survive this spectacular move, execution and power must be equal.
Cesaro is the best balance of these attributes, and even if he only pulled it out once every few Wrestlemanias, it’d still keep the glory of this radical finisher alive!
#1: Reverse Death Valley Driver- Luke Harper
So you want someone brought close to death, how bout we get them up on Luke Harpers giant shoulders in a torture rack, then let him hold thier head as he executes a brain altering reverse brainbuster thus completing the life changing Reverse DVD.
Sadly the WWE wouldn’t likely let Harper do this move in the japanese shoot style it was intended. So I will even settel for the Meat version where it be becomes a reverse AA.
So lift em in the Rack, “Yeayeayea” then toss them feet over hear into an epic face first crash to the mat.
Give the classice Harper crazy eyes and go for the pin cause they won’t be kicking out of the Reverse DVD!
So that is my list with the order being less valueable than the moves themselves.В But where was the Vertebreaker, Stone Cold Stunner, or Swanton Bomb?В Well these honorable mentions will wait for another list, maybe yours.В So why don’t you comment on the bottom and tell us what moves you’d like to see come back and who you want pulling them off!
